Summary - I had a small leak at the main value. It was repaired to my satisfaction. Workmanship and attitude of technician were good. I had a little after job issue which was resolved by Joe, the owner. It indicated a high level of professionalism and post work service resulting in five stars. Although five starts means walking on water but I decide to increase my rating to five stars because of the follow up by Joe to make it right for me. Details I had a small leak in main pipe leading to house water supply close to regulator. On Friday 9/19/14 Mike came as scheduled in the morning and I showed him the leak and also asked him about replacing kitchen faucet. I asked him to continue, he went to his truck and came back saying there was an emergency that he needed to take care of (an old lady's toilet was backed up). I said OK, take care of the emergency and come back. He was back around 12:00 noon and fixed the leak. He kept his word and was promptly back at the promised time. The work done was professional and clean and after talking to Joe, I let them come back to replace my kitchen faucet. read more

Once he had to remove the toilet and replace both the toilet and the floor because it was so old. Once he had to cut under the floor of the house because the pipes were so old and cracked, and then replaced the line. The water heater went out also and had to be replaced, he did that work also. First of all, want to give Mark, Joel and Plumbing Solutions a BIG 5 stars !!!! Here's how the story goes. So, my wife waits me up and says the back room is wet from a leaky water heater. I quickly get up and assess, yes, it's leaking and getting worse. No plumber in mind to call so contact my nephew who says he's used an outfit called Ernie's Plumbing in Martinez. Contact them and they say 2-4 hours before they can come out and I ask about cost on a water heater replacement and they say $HIGH costs. I tell them way too much and I'll take my chances and get a second opinion. First thought, go to Yelp and see whose local, good, affordable and efficient. First one I see is Plumbing Solutions in Concord. I contact them, speak with Joel, explain to him the situation and says that they can make it within the hour and I ask about costs and he says $VERY AFFORDABLE. (BTW... Much less than the earlier $HIGH quote mentioned above...) Joel states that Mark will be here shortly. Mark shows up within the hour, checks out what the problem is and says it can cost this much $ or I can upgrade replacement to code for just $X amount more.....still $Very Affordable. I say, lets go for it and about 3 hours later, I had a new and improved water heater, with a better warranty, and upgraded with additional items that I really needed as it would not have leaked in our back room having them. Mark was a pleasure to work with, very professional, thorough and clean. Highly recommend them and have already put them in my phone address book. Mike came over last week to replace my garbage disposal and I couldn't be happier with the service. He questioned me on my usage and future plans and then advised me on what type of dispopsal I should buy. The entire process was handled in about an hour and Mike was courteous, professional and informative the entire time. Upon completion. he checked to make sure it was properly sealed and then showed me what I should do to help maintain the disposal and keep the adjoining sink's pipes clean. Joel and his team are the best you can find. We had a sewage line bust under our new (to us) home. We got several estimates. During the current remodeling of our bathroom, the contract plumber put in new pipes and partially installed part of the shower water thermostat. Right after the contract plumber left, we lost hot water into the house. Our general contractor came by and diagnosed the problem as a failing water heater. We contacted Plumbing Solutions to install a new water heater; after the installation of the water heater, we still got no water into the house. We contacted Joel again about the no water into our house problem. Joel came by on Sunday and diagnosed the problem as a "plumbing crossover" done by our contract plumber in our partially remodeled bathroom. Joel cut the pipes, capped off the ends, and we had instant hot water back into the house again. Joel's work in installing the water heater and later his diagnosis of the plumbing crossover was first rate. I would highly recommend Plumbing Solutions for plumbing work especially if the problem is baffling or complex or if your plumbing contractor screwed up royally!!! It had been a few days of watching a puddle grow next to our garage wall before I decided to call for assistance. Having seen all the positively glowing reviews for Plumbing Solutions, I decided to give them a call. At nearly 8pm on a Thursday night, I expected to leave a voicemail but Mike answered with the most welcoming voice. I described him the situation and he said he could show up the following afternoon between 2-5pm. True to his word, Mike showed up on time and with a friendly smile. We had a toilet that didn't flush properly for years. I ordered the toilet online and called Plumbing Solutions to install it. When Joel pulled the toilet out of the box, he saw that the front of the base was broken. I was so upset - we have guests coming this week and I wanted the toilet replaced as soon as possible. Joel suggested that I call a local plumbing supply store to see if they happened to have the same toilet. They did! Joel went to pick it up (at no extra charge), installed it and took away the old toilet as well as the broken one! Wow!!!! Can't say enough good about this company. I moved into a new rental home and ended up with a few plumbing issues, my land lord said to find a company on Yelp with the most 5 Star reviews, I was shocked when I found a company that had ONLY 5 Star reviews. Immediately I knew this was the company I had to go with. When I called, I explained the two issues I was having and they told me it would most likely be a snake type of job, meaning cleaning out the pipes in the house to get rid of a clog. I asked for a price quote, and they gave me a range (depending on the complexity of the job). Scheduling the appointment was fantastic!!! They offered same day, but due to prior commitments I couldn't. I said my first availability, and they were able to give me that time. I couldn't be happier. Upon arrival, Mike and Leo were extremely polite and respectful!!!! They introduced themselves by name, and also said what company they were with. Being a female, I appreciated this very much. Before starting work we took a walk through of the house and I showed and explained the problems to them. (Side note, when they are in your house, they wear the blue bootie shoe covers over their shoes). We are in an older house and the plumbing systems are a little crazy. The job turned out to be a little harder then originally expected. They ended up trying three different methods of snaking the main line before the clog actually cleared. I was simply impressed by their work ethic and sticking to the job to complete it, when it would have been easier to just quit and say, "I don't know". I move a lot and have dealt with more utility workers, plumbers, installers of things, and let me say Mike and Leo are simply the best that I have ever dealt with. My husband and I bought our first house 3 months ago and were not prepared to deal with the sewer backing up into our showers!! They managed to get me an appointment the next day! Even though the prognosis was that a section of our main sewer line had to be replaced, I shopped around with the quote that PS gave me to do the work and found no one would even come close to matching it...plus they gave me a discount in the amount that I had paid for them to come out for the first appointment. This is the first time that I have used Yelp to find someone to work on my House. I read a lot of reveiws and decided to get estimates from 2 different companies. The first company came out on time and told me my job would take 8 hours and he could have someone come out and do it the next day. He gave me a ridiculos price and left. Mr Joel Diaz of Plumbing Solutions was the next to come. What a difference, this guy deserves 6 stars.. He told me exactly what was needed to be done, he gave me a price and then said that once he opened up the concrete if the pipe was broken inside also, what the extra cost would be. Luckily the pipe inside was not broken, so no extra charge. Mr Diaz was very honest, did exactly what he said he would do,and He was professional and did the job in about 1 and 1/2 hours. I guess I should have said in the beginning I had a cracked pipe which has been leaking for Who knows how long.
