I had the opportunity to meet Mr. Joel Diaz, the owner of the business few hours ago due to emergency situation.Mind you, it's Saturday & I called him @ 7:30 pm when I got home & he came w/ in half hour to my rescue. My bathtub faucet upstairs was leaking & the water started seeping to my family room ceiling. My husband called me on his way to work this afternoon while I was doing my errands that he shut down the main water in our house, meaning no water @ home!!! Can't take a shower, cook or to make matter worst I can't flush the toilet. GRRRR, this can't be happening while I'm busy preparing for my Twin sons College Graduation.....I was pressed on time & I thought about of YELPING whom I can call local to help me. We have 2 toilets and 2 bathes plugged twice within in two days on the Christmas Eve and the day after Christmas. It was a frustrating situation. We had a short term solution but we didn't know what the cause of the plugging was, so we found Plumbing Solutions from Yelp. They scheduled us right away withing 4 hours. Mark and Brian came. Mark listened careful to the information we provided and worked with us in a very dedicated way. He did a camera inspection and diagnosed the problem. We had a great experience with Plumbing Solutions. They responded quickly to our concern - a pipe had burst in an old house that we recently purchased and we wanted to create a diagram of the drainage/sewage system of the property to help us decide what to do. We were able to cap the leak ourselves, so Joel came out the next day (exactly at the agreed time) and did a camera study of the sewage system of the property (in retrospect we should have done this before we bought the house). He showed us through his monitor what he was seeing (he runs a snake with a micro camera on the tip through the pipes from the clean outs), told us clearly of potential problems, helped us create a map. He was very patient and clear throughout the whole visit. He didn't try to alarm us or upsell any services. He stayed with his quoted price for the camera study ($225), and even did the same service on a guest house on the property for no extra charge. An extremely professional, polite service (Joel often said "yes, sir" and "yes, ma'am" as he answered our questions), above and beyond what we had come to expect with many contractors. I called with what I thought (okay, was hoping) was just a tough clog. Mike did a thorough evaluation and determined that there were tree roots--yes, tree roots!-- in the pipes. I imagined that would be extremely expensive, but Mike did a couple other evaluations and determined he'd be able to take care of the problem for a reasonable price. A couple hours later, the problem was fixed and Mike was cleaning up with his own cleaning supplies! Great experience. Mark @ Plumbing Solutions was wonderful. We had a sever clogged tub. Another plumbing company came and tried to fix it. He couldn't figure it out and said I needed to get someone else. @ 8:00 p.m. last night I sent a note about our problem via Yelp. Within 5 mins I had a response saying they had an opening today. I took it. Mark showed up, tried to fix our problem. Found the blockage, but couldn't figure out how to get to it. He suggested we get a contractor to open up our house to see where the plumbing was. Mark was frustrated because he couldn't figure it out. We talked a bit and walked around the house trying to figure it out. When all of a sudden, he suggested we turn on the kitchen sink. This caused water to go into the bathtub. He knew then what needed to be done. He was able to clear the line thru the kitchen. The problem is now fixed and I am a happy camper. This past Friday I noticed my hot water heater was leaking. I had been through this before and wanted it taken care of quick. I called Plumbing Solutions, and about 10 minutes later Mike arrived. He was extremely nice to me, because I had already had a bad morning. He waited for my husband to come home so we could make a decision on moving forward, or another estimate. I totally agree with all the other 5 star ratings these guys have had, they are BRILLIANT - will use them for any plumbing work in the future without question! I have just moved into a new house and there was a leak disclosed that I knew I had to get fixed. I tried four times to contact the plumber who had done the estimate for the previous owners and they didn't bother to return a single one of my calls - having now seen their reviews on Yelp (terrible), I'm now glad they didn't and I was forced to look elsewhere, especially as they had lied about the extent of the work required! Mark came round to assess the situation and spent half an hour under the house figuring out what was going on. He then came back today as arranged to fix it, was super efficient and explained everything to me, even taking before and after pictures so I could see what was going on. He must have spent two hours in the crawlspace and just took it all in his stride - still smiling when he came out! These guys go above and beyond - as I've been in the house less than a week he also took me outside to make sure I knew exactly where and how to turn off the water and gas in an emergency, very thoughtful. I called out Plumbing Solutions for an inspection of my old original ceramic sewer lateral. I knew there were some offsets from when I had it inspected over a year ago, but figured it was time to see if it needs to be replaced. Joel was very accommodating and came out on Saturday morning and showed up right on time. He inspected the line and clearly laid out the options with me to have it replaced. He is honest, upfront and knowledgable, and I believe his prices to be fair. My waterline developed a leak. I gave Mr. Joel Diaz a call and he was able to come to my house within an 1 1/2 hours. He determined that there was a slow leak between the meter and the house. Because there is extensive landscaping, a brick wall and concrete patio covering the pipe, replacing the entire line would be very expensive. He gave me the name of a company that can electronically locate the exact location of the leak. He was very friendly and professional and did not charge a fee for his expertise. Had an issue where the toilet started to slide around on the floor and appeared that one of the bolts holding it down broke. Wasn't sure what to do, and looked on yelp to find a highly rated plumbing company in the concord area. Lo and behold, Plumbing Solutions comes up. Figure with all the great ratings, might as well try them. Not only did they come same day, I got to work with Mike. Mike is a great guy, great personality, and was more than willing to answer any and all questions I had (including ones I hadn't thought to ask). When you are dealing with a toilet problem and what resides underneath the toilet (the wax seal, the flange, and whatever else lurks there) it could be any number of problems to deal with and possibly replace. Mike made the best of the situation and secured the toilet without having to do expensive replacements for no reason. He explained everything as he went so that I understood what was happening and the reason for it. He even helped me out with a slow draining sink and explained why using liquid solvents are terrible for the longevity of the pipes. (nice info to have!) All in all, Mike was excellent at his job. He executed the task at hand with all the efficiency his experience empowered him with. He was personable, funny and was respectful of our home. Truly glad I was able to be helped out by Mike today! If you go through the reviews, you'll notice all of the 5 star reviews. It's true, this business really deserves it for the most part. Although mine is 5 stars too, for me, I'm giving them 4.5 stars. In almost every important way, this business is great. They answer all of their calls (and return ones that they miss), they come exactly when they say they are coming, they walk you through the process, they do good solid work, and they clean up after themselves. So what more could one want? Well, price wise, they are on the moderate to high side. Sort of a bummer. But I guess you get what you pay for. If you want to have it done right and pay a little more to make sure it is done right the first time, then this is the business for you. For me, I'll be using them again for future work. read more

I would give Mark 10 stars if I could! I have had Mark Etie come out 3 times over the last year for unrelated problems on my older house. In each case, he diagnosed the problem, showed me pictures he took under the house and gave me options on how to best fix the problem. He is very professional, thorough, and fair. He communicates extremely well and helped me understand the costs and benefits of the solutions. In the most recent case, he installed a clear-out valve which involved many hours of digging to get to the pipes. A couple weeks after, he called to tell me he had been informed that there was a potential problem with the valve he had installed. He returned and replaced the valve with a new one at no cost!! I called plumbing solutions for a couple minor household jobs. They answered the phone after a couple of rings and I never had to play phone tag, which is rare with contractors/plumbers/electricians who spend a lot of time in the field. Joel arrived early and promptly assessed what tools and parts he needed. He also was able to provide a price along with a pricing sheet. The pricing was a little different than what I am used to - by number and type of repairs rather than parts and labor, but the itemized price list at least keeps it consistent. Joel contacted me after my original review and offered to reimburse me for the money I paid and to fix the irrigation piping that was left undone by his technician. Since Joel stands by his workers work in this fashion then I would definitely recommend him if I had other work due to the fact that even if it's done improperly or poor craftsmanship he will come and fix it and do it the right way. He was thorough and very professional, and explained every step of the procedure, which "restored flow to sewer lateral", his words. I had such a great experience with this company and Mike, the technician, that they sent out. When blue water from our washing machine started backing up in our tub, I knew we were in for some trouble! It was about 6:30 in the evening, so I called a few plumbers and left messages on a bunch of machines. These guys actually had a live person who answered the phone and got me an appointment the next morning. When Mike came out, he was courteous and respectful and did such an amazing job assessing the problem and getting it fixed quickly (and affordably!)
