Came out within an hr on a Sunday , found the leak repaired it , great service , the plumber was polite and knowledgeable.

After discovering a leak pouring down the side of my 21 year old water heater at 10:30pm on a Saturday night, I first tried to turn off the gas before turning off the water, but feared I may have just turned off the flame since I could not turn the dial completely to off. The situation could not have seemed more urgent. I called a plumber I had used many years ago, and got voicemail. I called a local San Marcos plumber with good Yelp ratings, and again voicemail. Since PlumbSmart could not have been more highly rated on Yelp, I called them next even though they are physically located in New Braunfels. The CEO himself, Cody Blackmon, answered the phone. He immediately talked me through some emergency procedures as though I was the only person who mattered in the world at that point, and had me text some photos. The bleeding was stopped. Longer story short, I knew it was time for a new water heater, and by mid-day the next day, Sunday, PlumbSmart had a plumber quality (higher quality than retail as I understand it) AO Smith water heater right-sized for my home's need and installed in a first-class professional way. There are many other plumbing issues we are subsequently in the exploration stage on from longstanding needed repairs to effectively dealing with hard water. I feel extremely fortunate and grateful to have discovered Cody's PlumbSmart company. I'm just a tad delayed in writing this post but that doesn't meant I didn't get great service from PlumbSmart. My water heater decided to wait till Memorial Day weekend to leak. I called several places and PlumbSmart was the only one open AND willing to come out to help me. Adam came over within a few hours and helped me out. He was professional yet friendly. The whole deal took two days to complete bc of the holiday. I didn't know until the end of day one that Adam is the owner. He was short handed so he took the call himself. The next day he and his partner, Roger, came back with all the necessary parts and finished the total replacement. They responded quickly, and soon had an appointment set up for me the same day, sending a photo of the serviceman who would be coming. Jorge was polite, friendly, listened to what I said, and had a look at the issue. Then he told me my options, and got to work immediately. Although the work was done adequately, be ready for a pretty "hard sell." Their original onsight estimate was about $100 higher than what the tech quoted me on phone before I selected them for the work. They did not have a delta shower faucet cartridge in their truck (I find this odd) and were apparently going to charge me $100 to go get it. When I rejected their offer they made one of those calls to the boss and they then agreed to do the work for the original quote. read more

My wife spotted one of those dreaded Sunday water leaks at the side of our house two days ago. Needed some plumbing issues corrected in a home we bought 2 years ago. Called and CEO Cody called me back. Told him I needed new garbage disposal, PVC pipes under kitchen sink replaced, and 2 new comfort toilets installed and the old ones taken away. He was able to give me a price over the phone and by the way, it was $600 less than all the other quotes I got. They set an appointment for 4 days in advance and on the day of the work Ryan came over with his van and did all the work in less than four hours. I even asked Cody if he could clear the main drain from the house to the street and Cody said he would have Ryan run a camera down the drain and if there was not a problem, there would be no charge, Just shoot Ryan a tip, which I did!. Initially had them come out to get my water heater up to code and install a water softener on the house we just purchased. Once we moved in we found out the drain line from the washer was broken underground. The cost to fix one portion was only 1/3 of what the cost would be to redo the entire house's drain lines so we did it. While digging they noticed that my sewer line was broken so they replaced the entire line. Adam (one of the owners) was great with communication and keeping me aware of the progress. Overall they did a great job. I had some issues with the contractor they used to dig but Adam, and Cody went above and beyond to make things right. They have gained a customer for life. read more

I had company over the Thanksgiving holiday and of course there was a plumbing issue. Toilet backed up in both bathrooms and the next day after I called my landlord he got Geoff to come by and fix it. Which certainly made my day since my out of town company that lived in an urban location that has city sewage etc., so they never had to deal with OLD plumbing and septic tanks. Geoff went above and beyond to fix us up so the rest of the time we could just eat, drink and be merry! He's a very nice person to deal with and when a week later I had another problem, he was sent back to deal with that one, but this time it was the septic tank and once again my landlord stepped up and this time he had it pumped out, but the toilets were effected again because of the septic tank. Geoff came back and cleared it all up again and added a few new components which seemed to do the trick. It's been over a week and NO MORE PROBLEMS!!! Talk about a GREAT Morning ! Due to PlumbSmart and Roger's knowledge, expertise, business sense, and his plumber's abilities - I woke up this morning, went into my shower and there were NO LEAKS ! San Antonio is the hard water capital I believe and Roger arranged for my shower knob cartridge to be replaced to stop the leaking. His plumber came to my home, was on time, was professional, and a pleasure to deal with. He started his work, came in and explained that it was not just the handle cartridge that required replaced, but also the entire shower value unit because of hard water damage.
