We stopped here for a drink on the patio and sandwiches to go. Our food came out quick and they were very generous portions too. We got the BLT (has lots of crispy bacon) and the Turkey and Avocado sandwich. We also ordered a plate of fruit to go. Everything was delicious. Great little place on the water. Our server was attentive and kind.

Everything on the adult menu was delicious. I had a kid who ordered PBJ off the kids menu and it was soggy and not good, but if you order REAL food, it'll be good! Suggest a burger off the kids menu. Service was excellent and there is a beautiful view of the water when dining on the patio.

Service was friendly and efficient, view outside is quaint. Food was okay... nothing special.

Nice restaurant with five star views of the water. The staff was attentive. The restaurant provides both indoor and outdoor seating. We had a large group and it was tight fitting us all, but they made it work. I ordered a red sangria to drink which was tasty and the blue cheese carmelized onion burger. The burger was cooked exactly how I liked and the fries were nice and crispy. Overall it was a great lunch spot, but I definitely recommend sitting outside!

Great venue right at the waterfront park. Service was excellent by Mel. Velvet had the egg salad sandwich. OK. She said it was great. SIL said salad was just OK. Supposed to have peaches which are in season here, but alas no peaches. Jimbob had a shrimp poorboy her said just good. I had the fried shrimp. Fresh but not cleaned properly. Gritty.

Plums Restaurant, Downtown Beaufort, SC Warren's Margarita took forever my food was delivered first. Thank god for the food server (didn't catch her name she had short black hair)as she was able to get my margarita. The waitress Hailey was very friendly but not attentive at all. Service was not good it was the first I left a 10% tip. Tried to give the food server money but she wouldn't accept. Fried Shrimp was not good and the batter tasted like bisquick no seasoning at all. The blackened shrimp was better still not seasoned up to par. The salad we requested the peach buttermilk balsamic we didn't get that until the very end of our salad. Also never got the tartare sauce. The fried chicken in the Cobb salad was probably the best we had here. Overall I would say overpriced drinks, horrible service and mediocre food go to another restaurant. @plums.restaurant #beaufortsc #lowcountry #southcarolina #luvbft #lowcountrylife #sc #impossibletraveler #savannahgeorgia #savannahga #downtownbeaufort #usaroadtrip #visitusa #donjulio #tequila #downtownbeaufort #margarita #shrimp #lowcountry

Today we stopped by for a late lunch. We checked in with the hostess who was super nice. She told us that the tables outside were on a longer wait than inside but we did not mind so we put our name on the waitlist. Shortly after checking in, our table was ready and we were seated outside. Our server arrived at our table shortly after being seated to take our drink orders. All of us ordered our meals and they arrived at the table very quickly which was awesome. No complaints with the food either. The quality and quantity of the plates were perfect! All of the items we ordered were fresh and delicious. We would definitely come back!

Plums is perfectly situated with a waterfront view. The place was packed for Saturday afternoon lunch. We opted for the outdoor seating area, which required a 15-20 minute wait. I ordered the Curried Chicken Salad Plate and my husband got the Shrimp Po-Boy. I thought the Chicken Salad was very flavorful and tasty, the husband was lukewarm on his Po Boy. Our server was wonderful. She was very pleasant and friendly. Overall, Plums is a nice scenic spot for lunch or dinner in Beaufort.

Such a great spot for lunch in downtown Beaufort. We've been enough times that we've tried a good bit of the menu. We love that they have indoor and outdoor seating! My favorite app is the fried shrimp. Delicious! Favorite lunch item: the Biarritz sandwich. They also have great specials! The bar isn't huge but has everything you could want. The vibe is low key and relaxed. Our service has always been wonderful. Overall Plum's is reliable for a delicious meal. Don't forget to visit their sister restaurants: Hearth (pizza) and Saltus (upscale).

A fun, farm-fresh take on seafood. The vibe is comfortable and inviting, but the service can be a little slow at times.

It doesn't feel corporate or manufactured at all. More like you've stumbled into somebody's lovingly chaotic backyard dinner party where the food just happens to be genuinely top-tier. The mismatched charm, handwritten feel, and warm atmosphere are part of what makes it so special. There's this brilliant contrast between the laid-back hole-in-the-wall vibe and the seriously refined cooking coming out of the kitchen. We started with the fried green tomatoes which were incredibly tender, fried perfectly, and drizzled with a lovely house-made ranch. The sweet house pickles alongside were such a good touch. We also each had a cup of she crab soup which was beautifully seasoned and packed with tonnes of crab morsels. For mains, we shared the shrimp and grits and completely understood why the recipe has won awards, including being recognised as the 3rd best in the world. The recipe is rooted in traditional Lowcountry cooking but elevated with layers of flavour that somehow still feel comforting and homemade. The grits were unbelievably creamy, and the shrimp and sausage were perfectly cooked with fantastic flavour throughout. We also split the seafood purloo with blackened grouper, and it was equally impressive. Everything was cooked perfectly and tasted incredibly fresh without trying too hard to be fancy. What really made the experience though was the staff. Everyone went above and beyond. They took time to chat with us about the area, paced the courses perfectly so nothing felt rushed, and by the end we were leaving with handshakes feeling more like guests than customers. Places like this are getting harder to find. We'll absolutely be back and would recommend it to anyone looking for authentic Lowcountry food served by genuinely wonderful people.

Before our trip, one of my fraternity brothers told me that if I wanted some of the best Southern soul food in Savannah, I had to visit Mrs. Wilkes. He also warned me that there would be a long wait. Let me just say--he was absolutely right on both counts! We arrived at the restaurant and stood in line outside in the rain. We didn't get seated until 1:00 PM. Normally, I would not wait that long for a meal, but for the record, and I can't believe I'm saying this--it was worth every minute of the wait. The experience was unlike any restaurant I've ever visited. My wife and I were seated at a large table with approximately eight other people whom we had never met. Yet within minutes, it felt like we were dining with family. The atmosphere was warm, welcoming, and filled with genuine Southern hospitality. The food was simply outstanding. Every traditional Southern dish you can imagine was brought to the table and passed family-style from person to person. The home-cooked flavors reminded me of the meals many of us grew up enjoying. Everything was delicious, and the desserts were just as impressive. What made the experience even more special was the sense of community. People of different backgrounds and races were dining together, sharing food, conversation, and fellowship. The staff worked together seamlessly and went out of their way to make every guest feel welcome. While we waited in line, a gracious lady shared the history of the restaurant and the legacy of Mrs. Wilkes herself. The staff even provided umbrellas to guests who didn't have one--including me--which was a thoughtful gesture that spoke volumes about their commitment to customer service. From the food, to the hospitality, to the rich history and unique family-style dining experience, Mrs. Wilkes Dining Room exceeded every expectation. If you're visiting Savannah, this is not just a meal--it's an experience. I proudly give Mrs. Wilkes Dining Room a 5 out of 5-star rating and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Savannah.

Then they bring out the fried chicken on platters. 21 different bowls of southern dishes- okra, rutabagas, greens, beans, corn, biscuits and corn bread.... Oh my there was a lot. You will not go hungry as the staff are near each table and bringing refills of items needed. Then when you've had your fill, they bring by peach cobbler with vanilla ice cream on top and/or banana pudding! They take cash or check only. They thankfully had an ATM inside. Southern hospitality, great food, memories- it is all here. Don't miss this place when you come to Savannah!!
