Went to Poached for the first time and I found it interesting that it's a sit down restaurant but you order before you sit. And if you want to order something else, you have to get up and order again. I wasn't a fan of that. But other than that, the staff is amazing and friendly. One of them, possibly the manager I think, gave my sister a free espresso drink because he saw her yawning and said she needed it. I found it really nice and funny. The food was really good, the fruit with my Classic Waffle was fresh, but my con is it's a bit overpriced. The hashbrowns were the perfect crisp, I would definitely get hash browns from here if I was craving it. Aesthetics wise, it's a beautiful restaurant that offers nice outside seating. If they took away the order before sitting I think I would enjoy going more. A friend took me here for my birthday lunch . First time I have been here and my friend was excited that one finally opened in her area. There is indoor and outdoor seating and parking in a shopping lot area. You walk inside the counter and place your order. We were greeted by lovely employees. I ordered the vegetable omelette with a side of sour dough bread and fruit while my friend ordered the breakfast tacos. A number is given to you to put on your table. It didn't take long for our food to come out. The presentation was nice and very colorful. Both of our orders were delicious. They give quite a bit of portions for the vegetable omelette and I took half to eat later that day. The service was good and around 11:00 am, when we arrived, it wasn't busy yet. My family & I were in town and were looking for a good breakfast spot, stumbled upon Poached Kitchen and we were NOT DISAPPOINTED!! I gave a one star for service today. We are a group of moms that all ordered a meal and a drink. We waited in line and ordered everything. But then realized needed to order another drink. But the line grew to out the door and around the side of the building. I see that there was staff chatting and standing around and I asked if they can help me place a simple drink order so I didn't have to wait in the line again. They refused me. But last time when the guy manager was there he was able to do that and take my drink order on the side because he said I already waited in line. But today they refused to help me. And on top of that they are extremely rude even made us move tables because they needed to make room for other guests. So we did move but then she said she needed that table as well and made us more again ! With all the people standing around chatting they couldn't have moved table from the other empty tables ? Instead of inconveniencing us twice ! And we all paid a great tip as well when we bought our food ! Which is the wrong way to go because we didn't get the service yet and we had to tip. I'm extremely upset with this place. I really hope upper management can see my review and do something to improve your service . Live not far from here and have been meaning to try. My wife and I felt it was a good time being mid-week and it would give the restaurant the best opportunity to showcase the food at a time when it wasn't slammed. The restaurant space is nice. There is an outdoor and indoor space. Tables are well spaced from each other to allow for comfort. It is an order at register, with food brought to table. Order process and service was good and friendly. Drinks and silverware and napkins and water were brought promptly to table. Food was brought to table relatively quickly after being seated and was definitely still hot when served. I had the brunch breakfast burrito with short rib. It's served with a smoky red sauce and a green chutney. The smoky red sauce was OK, but it was served in a steel ramekin and the sauce was blazing hot in the ramekin and actually burned my thumb, so be careful . The short rib in the burrito was tender, but flavorless. Overall, the burrito was just OK. The onions were sweated within the eggs which caused a lot of moisture when placed into the burrito and eaten, kind of unpleasant and very messy. I particularly enjoy a good crunchy tasty of hash browns in my breakfast burrito. Hash browns were soft and couldn't taste them in burrito. My wife had the chicken and waffles. The waffles were airy and tasty. The chicken was well breaded and boneless, but slightly overcooked and dry and not a huge amount of flavor. Overall, it's a nice place. It's pretty expensive, iffy on whether we will return due to the cost and the bland taste of the food, but we could tell that it was fresh and prepared right away. In the end, a very good tasting food and a nice atmosphere will overcome an expensive meal in my opinion, but if the food is not great, the expense is usually not worth the visit . read more

Me and my grandkids were there on 24 December and we had a very bad experience with the manager named Tyler. She is very disrespectful and mean and I believe she is also racist I had sat me and my grandkids had a table that had four chairs and we noticed it was tight a little bit and we moved to table next to us, which is more room and fits 6 peopl so when we were about to eat, Tyler and Manager comes up to us and removes us because there's a party of six that wants to sit down and I'm trying to explain to her that we were here first and they came after us and she said you know they were here waiting. Never heard of it. I ran in and got a breakfast burrito to go and boy was that a fantastic decision. I have to say that this breakfast burrito is the best I've had in a long time. To me it has a perfect combination of everything in it. They give you a sauce with it that is quite tasty and I asked for something spicy so they gave me some of their habanero sauce. PERFECT! Taking orders at your seat is also an option but for the most part taking your order first then seating is how they r organized. The food here was just the typical brunch style menu. The first time I went I got the matcha latte which was decent and the salmon benedict which was good. I wouldn't say it stood out from any other but it was good. The 2nd time I came I had an avocado toast. Also a solid item to get, there wasn't anything different or amazing but it was good. There is mimosas that you can order I recommend getting the bottle of your trying it maximize it and minimize the cost (if u plan to have more than 1 glass) other than that nothing really stood out but it's definitely worth trying. The service was nice, when our server was busy there was another server there that came around and checked on tables. He made sure we got everything we needed for the most part which supplemented for the semi slow service and food. The first time I went was much better but since the 2nd time I came with a bigger group service was mid. The atmosphere was nice, it was just chatter in the air, and pretty well lit space since there is a good amount of natural light.
