I have not had pockets since the late 90s! I was thrilled to spot the store as I am not often in this neighborhood. I ordered half an Original Pocket with the amazing house French-adjacent sauce and all of the sweet memories came back! I'm looking forward to returning to try other things on the menu. The store was clean and well kept and very inviting. You can see all of the menu items being prepared in a very attractive kitchen setting right front of your eyes. Then, the best treat of all, Manny! We shared memories of pockets restaurants spread around the city and now only down to this one location. I absolutely love this location!!! Even before the other locations closed, I would drive from the far south suburbs to the Lincoln Ave location. I generally purchase the chef and Cobb salads...OUTSTANDING!!!! The salads are always fresh and plentiful and the ranch dressing is to die for!!! Angela, Gus, and Manny are always pleasant, efficient and very professional. They all take pride in serving their customers. The store is always clean and welcoming. Plenty of tables for dining in. Because this is the last Pocket location, I would like to ask if everyone could rally around this location because it's a nice healthy restaurant that gives back to their customers, employees and neighbors!!! read more

We live nearby, order regularly, and while we've always been able to stomach the a la carte pricing for each ingredient, paying for add-ons like cilantro to find entire unchopped stems lacking leaves in our food as we experienced with our recent order was quite unexpected and unpleasant. Other items such as chicken were also overly expectant in pricing, yet skimpy in realized provision. There used to be a Pockets in Printer's Row where I lived, and I really liked having a salad place nearby that wasn't charging a crazy amount like some other popular chains do. That location closed down a few years back, but I was happy to find this one open after moving to the area. Ironically, I don't really love the pocket bread they serve here. Their signature item is serving you a pocket stuffed with a salad inside, but if you just order the salad it comes with a pocket on the side anyway and it's the same price. I usually go with the build my own salad, then make myself a little grilled cheese with the bread pocket. Prices have gone up a bit, but the salads basically fill up an entire styrofoam container. They also have kids meals which is nice since most kids aren't fans of salads. As a tip, you can order online and get some free desserts, which kind of counteracts the whole eating healthy thing, but hey you deserve it. They also have items like pizza and calzones, but that feels like ordering a pizza from Subway - it's an option, but definitely not the ideal one. Overall Pockets is a local chain that deserves more locations. It's nice having a healthier option since I just can't go to Red Hot Ranch every single day without having severe heart issues. read more

Came in for an early lunch on a Tuesday. The staff is kind and service is fast. The space is unadorned, relatively empty but the staff chats pretty loud in Spanish when it's slow (totally fine with this, enjoy life ladies!), so not the ideal environment for a quiet meal or teleworking although they do have wifi, but I saw no password displayed. Most patrons I see are getting pick up orders. I got a kale salad and added hard boiled eggs. It was ample, fresh and very tasty. I enjoyed the warm whole wheat pita bread served alongside.
