Service was good. Ambiance good. But pizzas not that great. Sorry but I wanted to be honest. Won't return.

I've been wanting to try this place but a couple things stopped me. 1) they don't deliver 2) they don't have low carb/ cauli crust option. However I recently decided to try them for a cheat day. Called ahead on the drive to have a medium pepperoni. Interesting they have a drive thru window behind the building. Service was easy and friendly enough. Pizza smelled great. Pretty standard size. Visually no complaints. I've seen others complain about burnt crust (that's literally what a real pizza oven does lol). Anyway, it tasted good. Kind of an average experience. Not truly lacking, not phenomenal. Despite being regular gluten I didn't feel bloated/sick eating it. I would definitely consider ordering again. My issue is the price though. Most pizza spots have specials. You literally have dominos across the street selling 2 large pizzas for like $10-15. A medium pepperoni was almost $30. That seems like what a large or XL should be for a pepperoni or combo pizza. I like that it was semi convenient that they have a drive through and you can pick it up after running errands and such. But for $30 I'd rather have a pizza delivered. MODS pizza down the road would be pizza and salad combo for the same price. Idk. If they considered a weekday special or something it might make us order more often. For now I'm glad I tried it to know what is offered to support local spots. But definitely not my go-to due to cost and lacking cauli options. read more

I have a local company to ridgefield and had 12 employees I was looking to feed plus two managers. So not a huge deal maybe ten pizza's and a few appetizers and drinks for everyone. I came in about 1pm nobody around anywhere. I grabbed the paper menus up front and was looking at them, still nobody to help me. I heard some noice towards the back and said hello. Still nobody. I know it's not a huge order but I'm guessing I would have spent about $300 bucks. Finally got tired of waiting and left. Mind you the restaurant was 100% empty not one person dining there. Anyways went to another place fed my crew for $460 everyone was happy and won't try this place ever again. read more

Finally found a spot that does it right. The crust is perfectly crispy (love the cornmeal!), and they don't skimp on the toppings. If you were a fan of Pietro's back in the '80s, this pizza is for you. 10/10. read more

Papa Pete's has always been a family favorite but this most recent trip will be our last. First off, there are passive aggressive signs directed at customers ....everywhere. It's like they are mad the customer is in their restaurant and they are telling the customers that through each of their signs posted all over the restaurant. I didn't take pics of them because I got more distracted by the two I did post below. Their pizza is good but it is very expensive. Like 35.00 for a medium meat pizza expensive. Fine we know that and make it a treat. But! They now charge for the fricking box they put it in - we ordered for carry out- how else are we supposed to take it with us??? Then they charge 3 percent to pay!! I hate being nickeled and dimed. Credit cards are meant to be an easy way for your customer to pay for your service. To charge a fee is like being pissed that someone is paying for your product. The vibe in here is all wrong. There was N employee folding pizza boxes at the counter who ignored a line of customers. I simply needed to pick my pizza up yet he wouldn't stop folding boxes and ignored me until another employee finally came from the back to help. Just overall terrible customer service. The woman who answered the phone informed me that the party room isn't available for reservations on weeknights, but mentioned they could push tables together to accommodate our group. I explained that this was for a team meeting and emphasized the size of our party. She responded that she wasn't sure if they could accommodate us, but would speak with her manager on Wednesday. I offered to follow up directly and asked for the manager's name. She replied, "I'm not allowed to give her name." This lack of transparency and unwillingness to provide basic information made it challenging to plan our event. Clear communication and openness are crucial when coordinating group gatherings. Unfortunately, this experience has led me to consider other venues that are more accommodating and forthcoming with information. I had hoped to keep our business local in Ridgefield, but the interaction I had with Papa Pete's resulted in the loss of a 30-person reservation. Papa Pete's is a local Ridgefield pizza spot that has been around for a while from my understanding. Their website says to phone in to order. When I called, they told me that I needed to have an "account" with a phone number to order and I needed to go in person as a first time customer to create this account & pay in person to start my order. Incredibly bizarre customer ordering experience. They wouldn't even take credit card over the phone. Very frustrating experience. It's a bummer because the pizza is pretty good; an investment in online ordering could make this place a 3/4 star establishment. read more

Went for lunch. Ordered one pizza and drinks. Went to play games. Came back out 30 minutes later and asked the staff on the floor if our name had been called. She stated no. Waited another 30 minutes and our name was called. Was told by the girl behind the counter she tried calling our name a while ago. Was given a dried out burnt pizza that I'm assuming was under a hot lamp for at least 30 minutes. Told the girl at the counter the other girl had said our name hadn't been called. Blank stare. I come here consistently at least once a month since it's 25 minutes away. When my husband went to pick it up, he wasn't given a receipt--so we didn't realize until we got home that the pizza was missing the chicken entirely. When I called the restaurant to let them know, I was told that what's on the menu is a "bacon ranch" pizza and that the best they could do was make a note on our phone number for next time. 1st time there. we arrived at 805 so we had enough time to eat there. they told us we couldn't because they close there diner at 830. n was kinda rude about . I asked well it's not 830 , she informed they stop orders at 8. I was like it's 5 min after n you won't let us ear here. on top of that one pizza that was only cheese was only half cheese on it . the pizza was wrong toppings I said to not have on it. Tasted good and had good flavor overall, but would have been better fresh out of the oven.. full transparency, I live about 25min away so it was a little cold by the time I got home. Tried to call in an order for 4 pizzas for a total of $160. Was told if I order 4 pizza they won't make them until I pay in store. Mind you they can't take payment over the phone. It's 2025 who doesn't take payments over the phone or let you order online. So anyway I just ordered 3 pizzas so I wouldn't have to wait in the restaurant for 30 minutes for my pizza. Than my son decided he was going to order one. So I drove there asked for both of our orders. Paid for both of them. $160. Then the manager proceeds to come out and scold me for putting in two separate orders. Was told there will be restrictions put on both of our accounts that all future orders will have to be paid for before the make the pizzas. That is absolutely ridiculous to be scolded after just giving them $160 for my order. Also ordered the breadsticks. They were store bought breadsticks just like you get from Olive Garden except they had zero flavor. I like the pizza but will never set foot in the place again. I walked in on a Monday evening during a drive home to the Seattle area from Oregon and ordered a small Sweet and Spicy pizza. It took about 10-12 minutes until it was ready and was piled high with pepperoni and pineapple and I proceeded to enjoy what might have been the best pizza I have had in years. The crust!! Perfection! I am enjoying the cold leftovers today and sad that I can't just order from Papa Pete's from now on! Will definitely stop in again on our next trip down! read more

Staff was great, nice & friendly. 4 stars because the young man that saw us spill a soda, looked at us & handed us a thin towel. He didn't look over the counter to see we actually needed a few towels or a mop. I asked the nice blonde employee for a mop & said I could clean it but she insisted she cleaned it for us. She was smiling, polite, friendly & very helpful. I would give her customer service 5 stars, for going above & beyond with a smile on her face. Pizza was delicious! No beer or pitchers. I called and spoke with the manager who only offered to put a note in for a replacement topping (garnish) on next visit. After explaining how disappointed I was with the amount of money we spend at the establishment, the manager stated she could only do what she had offered.
