The restaurant has a hand hand full of tables if you'd like to dine in, and it is very clean and shiny may I add.Parking can be busy during lunch time, but there is never an issue after lunch time. The process is very simple, and the person over the counter will help walk you through it. You'll choose your base, whether it's rice, chips, or greens, then your protein(s), toppings, and extras. I personally enjoy getting mine with a bed of greens. I chose a small size which comes with 2 proteins of your choice. I chose the spicy tuna and salmon. I really wanted their octopus, but due to lack of popularity, they stopped serving octopus until further notice. It's an acquired taste, so it's understandable. Just stopped by the other day. Everything was tasty and delicious. They have many selections of fish, all of which were fresh. They also have different poke sauces which make this place unique. Overall a good deal because you get a loaded poke bowl, definitely more value than going to a sushi spot. Another positive aspect is their customer service. Debora was very courteous and friendly. She made our food in a timely manner and was super nice. This is such a welcome food addition in Kent - I'm hoping they'll bring one to Covington. The restaurant is pristine, which is exactly what you want when you're eating raw fish. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Not crowded on a Thursday around 7:30. The selection is great, and the number of options for add ons was better than other poke places I've been, especially for free. I got lettuce instead of rice, with tuna, scallops, and spicy tuna. Next time I'll skip the spicy tuna as it's shredded instead of diced like the regular tuna, and I get a spicy sauce anyway. The regular tuna and scallops were both delicious. I found this place by accident 6 month ago and I am so happy about it! I am living close to this place and I was surprised why I haven't seen that place before. Pokē is my favorite food and all ingredients here are fresh and excellent. Service is very friendly and attentive, they always remember my order. Usually I come with my child, and she is so obsessed with edamame that she always get her edamame in her separate bowl. I love atmosphere and happy hour. YASSS there's finally a poké place near my house!! This place will satisfy your poké cravings, but I wasn't amazed. The fish is SUPER fresh, so I recommend everyone to get tuna and salmon as their proteins! One negative thing I have to say is the fish isn't marinated in the sauces as they mix it up by hand, so I felt like it was lacking a little bit of flavor. Maybe since they don't marinate it, the fish is more fresh...? Who knows haha. I paid about $13 for a medium sized bowl an it didn't leave me super full :( But other places give you a lot and leave you extremely full and bloated so I guess you got to pick one or the other haha. When the guy first prepared the food i saw him put gloves but when i asked him for avocado he went to the back wearing the same gloves and opened the fridge with his right hand where his gloves on to get the avocado. Due to lack of options in the south end - Poke Bar will have to do. Price point is about the same as any other poke joints you go. They aren't traditional as nothing is really marinated in true poke fashion - more so chopped up fish and seasonings added per your request. My gripe is that you'll get a huge portion of rice and a small ice cream scoop of poke (like half a handful, maybe a 1/4 depending how big your hand is), and the tuna and salmon itself is cut up in little itty bits so you don't really taste the fish itself. The spicy tuna is spicy tuna mush. Then they load you up with tons of toppings and mix it all together so you don't really get a true poke bowl but a medley of stuff that ends up being about $14 and flavorful but not for the reasons of poke - which is why one would come here. They're kind of like the subways of poke... little protein tons of toppings - and don't bother paying for extra anything cuz you'll just a get a pinch more for a few more bucks. Again - due to lack of options I may continue to come back to curb cravings but if you want real poke and bang for your buck - head north for options galore. read more

I was underwhelmed by my first visit to Poke Bar. When I arrived shortly afternoon there was a backlog in the line because they were out of prepared salmon. I skipped it and had the spicy tuna, albacore, and scallops. The spicy ahi was more of a puréed mix rather than chunks. Not my fave. I also wasn't impressed with the spicy mayo. It didn't add any good flavor - just heat. They were also out of avocado. The only thing I really liked was the crab salad. For the price - I'd highly recommend another place. What did they do to the spicy tuna? The first thought I had when I saw it was run. But I came all the way here to grab lunch before work, and was already running late so I had no choice but to try it. I didn't take a picture of it but you can see it from other pictures already uploaded on yelp, that they pretty much made "ground tuna" and then mixed it with spices. It made me feel like they took tuna that they couldn't sell the day before and just grounded it and pass it off as something else. Like why would you grind up tuna? Especially good quality tuna often used for poke. WHY? Spicy tuna from the Poke bar will forever tarnish my viewpoint on what a poke should taste like. And I now have lower expectations when it comes to trusting Yelp reviews. One of my favorite things about Poke was the texture and the freshness of seafood. I love biting in to a piece of raw fish, and just feel the ocean. Like I said above, the spicy tuna was grounded so there is just no feel to it. They also have scallops, WITH MAYO!? Why would you do that? Scallops are delicious ASIS, RAW, why would you mix it with mayo for a poke? It kinda makes sense if you offered mayo as a sauce and someone CHOOSES mayo for their poke, but this completely ruins the pureness of what a poke should be like. (I know spicy mayo is often used to make spicy tuna, but this is not referring to that.) And the pieces of salmon and tuna were so little, they looked and tasted like the leftover pieces Uwajimaya sells after they cut all the good pieces for sashimi. The poke tasted old and the sauce was boring. NOTHING was happening in my mouth. Combined that with the high price tag for such little servings of disappointment, I am just devastated. Almost 5 stars on Yelp but it was the worse poke place I've ever had. The Fish Guys in Seattle and Uwajimaya in Renton are my FAVS. Try them for REAL POKE and an explosion of a mixture of ocean and happiness in your mouth. Service was nothing substantial. No smiles, no nothing. Maybe they saw the disappointment in my face and decided that they weren't even going to try. read more

If there was nothing else in town, sure, this would be an okay poke destination. Well, today's visit confirmed I will never be going to this place ever again. The guy who served me had no kind of welcoming service and clearly hated to be there.
