Got a regular size build your own poke bowl. Ingredients seemed fresh and a good variety of toppings. Sauces had good flavor to pull everything together. Prices are fair and on par. They have a nice little seating area right outside. Service was fine, not the friendliest worker but ya know - it's just a job for them.

It was pretty hot out this week and I was craving something cool and Poke was a no-brainer. It's a small joint, but perfect for takeout or delivery. 3-4 tables outdoors. The staff was super friendly and walked me through the options, throwing in some great recommendations when I asked. Its very similar to most Poke shop, nothing too crazy however they charge you extra for a lot of things. I got the regular (which is supposedly their "small"), it was massive! Price is on the higher end but that is Coronado beach side for you. Tons of topping choices, and the best part? You can load up on as many toppings as you want. Parking can be tough during peak hours - don't be afraid to park residential a block away and have a nice walk. Coronado is one of the safest little towns in San Diego!

This place is terrific! It is fairly priced for Coronado. And it is one of the best poke bowl I've ever had. They have a big choice of proteins, including different kinds of salmon and different kinds of ahi. They also have their own marinated ahi and salmon. They have a great choice of vegetables, including beets and a cubed Japanese vegetable. I got half of my base salad mix and the other half brown rice. This was so filling that I should just have gotten salad mix. With the medium bowl, that starts at $16, you get three different choices of proteins and then unlimited toppings. There are a few toppings that cost extra, like two dollars for a huge scoop of mash avocado. I have a big appetite, and I could not finish this bowl! Very tasty and absolutely worth visiting on Orange Avenue. They don't have the fanciest patio on the block, but you can eat something healthy and delicious outside. Very glad I came here!

On the way to beach, we stopped to grab poke bowl today and they have specials on Weekday depending on which day you come. The variety of fish were good and they have plenty of toppings. The bowl is HUGE! Our server was really nice too. They have few outdoor settings if you want but we took ours to the beach and ate there. 5/5 for kind service, quality of food, and price.

Found this place on Coronado Island because I wanted a true Sushi burrito with seaweed wrapper, not a flour tortilla wrapper like some places. It's called Norrito here. They even have Dole whip. They place is small and modern but they have outdoor seating only. The staff are helpful and friendly. They have a very good selection of proteins even grilled chicken, can you believe that? I like that they have a mixed ahi flavor. We custom made ours. They have a machine that pre-makes their seaweed rice wrapper. My son custom made his poke bowl. I also liked that they had roasted garlic as well as onions. Prices are very decent. Would definitely come back here again. [60R,2023]

was in Coronado dropping something off and was craving some poke. This place came up close by and I decided to stop by. They have a pretty big menu with lots of options. I was the only one in there when I went. I got the waves & wanted to try all 3. The worker was super sweet & helpful since it was my first time. It's a bit more on the pricey side so just know that prior to coming. The food was super good & very fresh. I got a side of the cucumber seaweed salad as well & it was delicious! I'd definitely go back to try some of the other items!

Surprised by this poke shop.. The ahi and salmon were fresh. The albacore tasted a bit fishy. They did not mix the sauce with the fish, instead the sauce was just drizzled over - I did not mind it though. The toppings are normal, edamame, seaweed salad, avocado (+$2). The jalapenos are a mix of green and red, I realllly like their jalapenos. Oh and they have mango salsa! The prices are representative of the area but I felt the serving size I got was satisfactory. The employee who helped me worked with a sense of urgency, was attentive and polite. The inside is nice and clean. There is also outside seating.

Honestly, the curtness of one of the employees really rubbed me the wrong way. Basically demanded that my wife stop leaning on the glass, that's fair. Then immediately instructed her to move down toward the register if she wasn't ordering food. Again, not terrible, but perhaps smile and make us feel like you actually care about our business. Solid place for Boba tea, but kindness and customer appreciation goes along way with me. Was not feeling that here so will not be back.

I moved away from California a couple of years ago, and so finding Poke is a treat now. I was so excited to try this place. I am not sure where there are not more recent reviews. The place was pretty popular with a constant line when we were ordering. The servers were very nice and efficient. The place was small, but we were still able to find a place to sit. I recommend this place if you are on Coronado island. Hopefully a new review will boost their popularity!

Zero consistency between employees. Guy A makes a bowl: literally picked out pieces of onions one at a time to give us no more than 6 little slices. Would scoop things then shake the scoop to make half of it fall out before adding to the bowl. Took so long to make a bowl that by the time we got to the register there was a line behind us. Guy B: scooped as normal, and caught up to Guy A at the register. Bowls should have been identical, other than sauces chosen. Bowl A was literally half the size as Bowl B. Irritating, to say the least. Guy A also made a single Cali roll for another in our party and took no less than 10 mins to do so.

Came here after beach day! Parking is only street parking but since it's located on the main street of Coronado, it's going to be hard to find a spot. they have outdoor seating that's pet friendly. I ordered build you own and got spicy tuna and octopus. I'm deducting a star for octopus and spicy tuna because it was very salty. I really needed more rice in my bowl to balance out the saltiness. However, the portion they have given me for my bowl was huge! I barley finished it all. Overall, there's a good selection of poke bowl you can make here and a lot of topping are free and portions are large.

Staff was friendly and poke was fresh. Each scoop contains about 2.5oz of meat, so this was a great option for someone who is trying to be more health conscious and track their macros. They have lots of yummy sauces and toppings to add on. I split my base between brown rice and salad, added on a scoop of plain ahi and a scoop of spicy tuna, topped with veggies, and bam - a delicious healthy dinner. It's within a 10 minute walk to the beach so we grabbed dinner and caught the sunset. What a perfect way to end a weekend.

Had a really bad experience here. When coming in, I was immediately greeted with a heavy sigh by the girl with colored hair working the night. The fish looked very unappetizing and when I was greeted with that attitude it should have been my queue to just leave. Reading and looking at the other reviews, some others had the same experience I had (who I'm assuming was with the same worker) I do not recommend this place unless you enjoy getting attitude from food service workers for absolutely no reason. read more

My first time here it is sooo yummy!! It was so fresh. I got the brown rice with tofu an shrimp and spicy mayo and the veggie add ons are wonderful! The edamame and the mango salsa!! During the stay at home orders we have done curbside pickup half dozen times at least. Today we ordered again. I was disappointed to have them not pickup the call and not respond to my knocking on the back door for pickup. When I walked around the block to enter the store I saw they were busy with long line. Happy that their business is picking up but not happy I had to maneuver into the store to get my order. Defeats the curbside pickup. read more

We spend a day walking on Coronado Island enjoying the nice weather. Around the lunch time we start looking for places to eat but can't decide what we want. We were on vacation on Coronado and picked up lunch here. Everything was very fresh and delicious and ready promptly. FYI it seems the difference between the small and the medium was the amount of protein--the bowls were the same size. read more

I've tried a LOT of Poke in a lot of cities and states including the very best on earth in Hawaii and I will say this is among tHe TOP THREE of all time. I ordered a bowl with the 123 Poke, Spicy Albacore and Spicy Tuna all on a salad mix. The toppings were fantastic. Everything was fresh and spot on. Totally impressive flavor. Very well priced and my bowl could have fed two! Will be back! read more

OK so I'm pretty new to poke' bowls but I'm going to say, WOW. I've been to this location Coronado about six times now. Serving size is excellent. Quality is excellent. Choices are excellent. If I were wanting to open a restaurant, I would want to open one exactly like this. This place has it all, whether you like fish or not. They even have an excellent vegetarian or vegan option. Do not be afraid to try this restaurant, you would be greatly missing out on something fantastic. read more

My sisters and I stopped here and ordered three of the bowls to go. We all asked for white rice as a base and a variety of fish. The fish were fresh and the flavors were great, but unfortunately each of us had hard pieces of rice in each of our bowls. We did come after eight, so possibly the rice was made earlier in the day and we got the tail end of it. It wasn't the most pleasant experience eating your food and having sudden hard pieces of rice in each bite. If there wasn't that issue, I would definitely rate this place higher. Hopefully it's just a one off experience, but I do suggest this place for poke. read more

My husband and I were in town from Washington state and read the review of this restaurant in the crown city magazine. Seeing that it was our first trip to Coronado, we were curious about the local fare. The restaurant itself has an excellent location, close to shopping and hotels. The staff is friendly and will help you assemble your first bowl. The stations themselves resemble a Subway or a MOD pizza, but Poke is much more fresh and delicious. The reason I gave this restaurant only three stars Is for lack of ambience. The environment is more like a sterile Subway, and less like a Hawaiian or a beach resort. read more

I enjoy the food here however something does need to be done about situations like what just happened. I had ordered online on 26FEB2020 for my wife to pick up on her way home from work. When my wife arrived to pick it up she was told that "someone has just picked that order up" There seems to be no oversight for orders made online and no verification of who picks up any given order. So I'm kinda a poke snob so take this for what it is. I still go here if I don't have time to go elsewhere or Uber eats. The place is fine looks wise. Typical of most poke places. I like all the choices they have and it's very clean. My issues....it's crazy expensive. And the fish is not the best. Definitely do not get the octopus. This is by far my new favorite fast and healthy food joint in Coronado. Poke' 123 has an option for everyone. Between the choices of fish, chicken and tofu with salad, rice and rice noodles... everyone will be satisfied. The staff is super sweet and helpful. For all you fellow Coronado residents... they give a discount! Try their 123 specials, they're spicy but delicious. You can even get samples if you're unsure of what you might like. The back story on the place and the owners is pretty rad as well. Highly recommend! read more

Stopped here on a whim, and was a bit skeptical at first. Went at all in and was really glad I stumbled on to this place. Food was fresh, tasty, and phenomenal. I love freshness-especially when it comes to sea food. Ceviche is still my first love but this place was a great surprise, and came a really strong second. This place was perfect! Completely customizable poke bowl. You can pick how many servings of protein (including two different styles ahi tuna, raw salmon, seasoned beef, chicken), pick your base - greens, white or brown rice, noodles (or 1/2 & 1/2), tons of toppings and about 7 different sauces. I did a salad base, 2 servings ahi tuna 123, edamame, guac/avocado (extra $), mango salsa, pickled ginger, wasabi. No sauce & I didn't need it! All fresh, fast, clean, and friendly. They have nori burritos & tacos too vs a bowl. A little pricy when you add drinks, but it's a lot of food - and you still leave feeling good! Limited seating on Orange Ave, or take your food to go! Saw lots of local military eating here. They were super psyched about this new location vs going to Imperial Beach. Wish we had a place like this back home, but will come back next time I visit!!! read more

I love Poke 123, either the Coronado or the Imperial Beach one. But one thing that is very important to me specially on a raw fish / seafood spot is cleanliness and common sense of employees with sanitary basics. I worked several years on restaurants myself... This was my last experience at Poke: I walk in and all the employees are looking like zombies on their phones in the back, a girl with glasses comes out put in her gloves and while she's still texting on her phone (with gloves) she asks me what size (looking down at her phone and typing). I said medium, she leaves her phone inside of the metal bowl on a pile (the ones that they use to mix the fish with the sauce) and proceeds to get my order. The outside trash can filled to the top to the point where no more trash could be thrown away. Tables dirty, napkins on the floor everywhere. I feel bad for the owner that might have no idea this is going on, because it is a good business with good food. The employees are more concerned about their phones and chilling in the back, super unmotivated and unsanitary, that makes me think how careful can they be with the raw fish ingredients they serve? read more

The guy that helped us was annoyed that we needed help. No greeting, nothing. He walked up and "are you guys ready to order?" That should have been the first red flag. He then just stared at us like we needed to hurry up and order. There is no menu on the wall. There is a tv that shows some of the food. So I had no idea how the order for it went. I had greens and cucumber first because again, no indication of what you can order first or how it is step by step. I asked for rice and was told that I could not have any since I had already gotten greens and cucumber. Why not ask me if I wanted to change it? Unfortunately, the service completely ruined the experience. I placed my order online four hours in advance because I have a long drive back home to Julian and just wanted to pick it up and go. The staff seemed to have tunnel vision, only focusing on what was directly in front of them while ignoring everyone else. After standing there for quite a while, I finally had to ask about my order. Instead of it being ready like it should have been, they hadn't even started making it. I ended up waiting over 30 minutes in line for something that was ordered hours earlier. What made it worse was when the mistake became obvious, no one apologized or acknowledged the inconvenience. The staff acted like it was no big deal and showed zero professionalism or accountability. I don't come into the city often, but when I do I like to try new places. Sadly, this experience was disappointing and the customer service was extremely poor. I would honestly say save your time and money and go somewhere that actually values their customers--especially in this economy. Time is money, and money is time. If a restaurant doesn't respect your time, they're definitely not going to respect your money. As for the food, it was very basic and lacked flavor. They were also very stingy with the sauce, which made the bowl even more dry and underwhelming. Overall, between the poor service, long wait despite ordering hours ahead, lack of accountability from staff, and mediocre food, this place was a big disappointment. I will not be coming back. At least all of the seating is outdoors (some shaded) so you don't have to endure those smells. I ordered the Spicy Salmon and Pearl Harbor. The salmon was solid and I thought the fish quality was good. The sauce is similar to a spicy mayo and I didn't think it had much of a kick. The Pearl Harbor is tuna with a sweet, thick sauce (hoisin maybe?). I've had this flavor before at the other location but for some reason, it tasted off here. Also, the tuna didn't have that bounce of a fresh fish. Overall, salmon was good but maybe they were having an off day for the tuna. Hopefully it's not a recurring issue because I really want them to succeed. They're my favorite poke place in San Diego!

Out of all of the Poke restaurants in San Diego, this is my favorite by far. The friendly staff, great food, and even best, vegan, gluten free options make me want to come back. Even better, the dole whip here is the real deal! I would totally recommend this to all seafood lovers, and even the non-seafood lovers that could totally enjoy their sesame chicken and tofu! read more
