After a busy morning shopping for wedding dresses for my sister, our group of 4 wanted a healthy lunch even though it was already 2:30pm. My sister, who is local, doordashes this place all the time and highly recommended it. I got half sushi rice and salad with most of the free toppings and half salmon/half tuna as well as a Gatorade. My bowl was yummy although the pineapple tasted weird and my ginger sauce barely had any taste. The fish was very good and the toppings were all fresh. For four bowls and four bottled drinks, our total came to about $65. A bit pricey for a late lunch but my sister might have found "the dress " so I guess it was worth it haha! It is also in walking distance to the hotel we stayed at, Ironworks Hotel. There's plenty of parking and plenty of seating as well. Music was not too loud and the space is kept clean. I can't speak to the poke bowls, because I didn't get one. I was on a mission to find a Japanese marble soda called Ramune, and I had heard that this Hawaiian restaurant had 'em. Holy humuhumunukunukuapua'a! Did they ever. Poke Bros had several flavors of Ramune, but I was only interested in melon, so I grabbed two. If you, too, are looking for Ramune, they are located in a self-serve refrigerator by the counter, on the bottom shelf. Some day, I will be back to try the poke bowls. Poke Bros is set up Chipotle-style, where you tell them what you want and they put it in a bowl. This isn't my favorite kind of setup, because most of the time, I don't want to think about what might taste good together. I do enough thinking all day. They have premade bowls or you can create your own. Be careful with this option as costs can add up quickly when choosing the premium toppings (masago, avocado , crab meat, etc). My go-to is the Duke bowl. It's comes with a trio of protein including: shrimp, salmon and tuna. It's delicious. Be careful as they don't keep their price board updated. So you might be slightly surprised at checkout. It's not expensive, but if it's a couple dollars more than what you think- don't be surprised. Great spot for a small group, or a casual date; as the dining room isn't very big. One of my go-to's when I'm on the north side of Indy. My friend treated me to lunch the other day, and it was amazing! When you walk in, you are able to look at the menu and decide if you want a build your own, or one of their custom made bowls... I got a custom bowl and loaded it up. If you load it up without regard for the price (guilty), you can drop a little more coin than you might expect for a counter-service meal, but in the end, it was well worth it in that moment.
