I have been going to Pokefit for years and it's hands down my fav poke place. I normally take it to go since it's always ready within 3 minutes and I'm in a rush but tonight we decided to eat inside. It's such a cute place, never too packed, and always clean. Normally I get the salmon fit without the greens, but I did a build your own bowl today. My boyfriend did the same! We tried the soft crab this time but we both weren't a fan so we will just stick with our bowls and the goyza! Pokefit definitely has two long term customers here! :)

Update May 13, 2024 Not sure why I haven't commented more on Poke Fit in the several years we've been grabbing carryout poke bowls from them. We grab dinner from there about once a month, and it's always good. We always start with the Miso Soup, which is very good... one of the best in ATX, IMHO. The poke bowls come with super fresh ingredients, almost sushi grade fish, ample portions, and good sauces that come on the side. Solid, consistent, and pretty healthy poke ... recommend you give them a try!

First time customer, ordered online which was super easy. The proteins were crab, scallops and spicy tuna. I got a small bowl with white rice and this thing I swear had to weigh over a pound! I'm so glad I ordered the small, good grief I barely made a dent in it and put the rest up for later. To me it's definitely worth the price with the generous portions. They have designated shelving for the pick up orders so you literally don't have to speak to anyone and just be on your way. They do have seating inside, smaller in size. Parking lot is kind of small but I had no trouble and it was lunch time. I will for sure be back.

Poke bowl - medium with three protein options

What you are looking at here in the provided photo is the poke bowl with 3 medium scoops of protein. I ordered the bowl with: spicy salmon, spicy tuna and regular salmon as my three protein options. The base is a mix of brown rice and spinach. The sides include: avocado, sweet corn, pineapple, jalapeños, red onions topped with green onions, fresh garlic bits and spicy garlic aioli. I like spicy foods but cannot honestly handle anything crazy spicy - I would say this bowl was on the mild side. The reason I am giving this place 3 stars is one - because two of the proteins (the spicy tuna and salmon) came as a mashed scoop instead of cut into cubes, which threw me off. I was expecting all the protein to be chopped in cubes the way I normally order my poke bowls. That said, I did order through DoorDash so I did not visually see what the raw fish looked like prior to purchase otherwise I would have opted not to get my fish in a mashed scoop. Additionally the flavor was ok. Nothing overly memorable. Would I likely order from Poke Fit again - probably not, but it was a healthy meal that filled me up at a fair price.

Let me just say that if i walk into a establishment that's a seafood place and smells FISHY. Oh IM DONE. I have been inside few Poke places that from the smell of it I have walked out. This place was very clean, it's a very typical poke spot, you know quick healthy spot to fill you tummy. The services was great, the workers were super nice and accommodating. Their bowls were decent size and all ingredients were fresh and yummy. We made our own bowl and had fun adding all kinds of ingredients. Will definitely go back.

Still enjoying this location a year later. They do seem to have several more options now, lots of sauces and toppings! The staff is always friendly. Service is fast. My favorite place for poke in the area.

Pole fit is my go to place for healthy eating. The staff is always so nice and welcoming. The tofu and the dressing really compliment eachother and makes the bowl delicious! The food is never bad no matter how many times I go. Love this place!

Online nutrition seems absurdly inaccurate as the luau pork has nearly double the protein of any chicken but that's a separate issue. Big if true though! I'd skip the mac salad. I'm not sure if I had a bad batch but I didn't get a good impression as the mac salad was firm, stale, and challenging to eat. It makes up a whole fourth of the plate but luckily you are able to substitute. More rice, vegetables, or even their pineapple skewer sound fantastic. I've had tons of different mac salads and appreciate all the variations enough where I'm not picky but this was a fail. Large Mixed Plate w/ Huli Huli Chicken and Luau Pig - chicken is juicy and tender with a nice glaze of huli-huli as a simple sugary soy sauce. Beneath the chicken rests a bed of rice marinating in sauce which is super delicious. On the other side is a pile of kalua pork which is a flavorful but slightly dry. Extra sauce is extremely helpful. Unfortunately underneath isn't a marinated pool of rice but you can do it yourself. I'll note that the foundation of rice does lead to a misleading idea that it's packed with meat, but the portions are still very hefty. Mac salad was poor as noted above.

There's a lot of room for improvement though. I'm going to admit right up front that I know very little about what might be considered authentic when it comes to Hawaiian BBQ, and I'm sure Hawaiian Bros is not where near whatever that is, but... I became obsessed with H'Bros a little while back and was perpetually whining that there wasn't one closer to where I live. So imagine my shame to discover L&L just up the street, that's been there since at least 2023, and I had never even noticed it. The storefront is tiny, so I'll give myself a little wiggle room for not having spotted it, but their external signage is very clear and the inside is clean/well maintained, so really I have no excuse. We easily put in an order online, it was ready for pick-up almost instantly, and the staff was very friendly and quick when we arrived to scoop it. Now, this is where I might lose people with my ignorance, because I just don't think this was a good as Hawaiian Bros. However, given it's decidedly closer location to my house, it certainly is a 100% viable stand in. I got the BBQ chicken with mac-salad, regular salad, and rice. The mac-salad was the best thing, but I do wish it had been colder (the temperature extremes is part of what I enjoy at H'Bros). The flavor was great though, and I wish I had gotten double mac-salad instead of the regular salad, because... Well, calling that a salad was a little generous. It was just a few too large leaves buried under a mountain of tomatoes and one oddly long, chunky cucumber? Though I did combain my lettuce with my chicken for little "salad wrap" things and that was a pretty good. The chicken was well flavored, and I'm a little picky about my meat quality, so I was very excited to find nice, tender, pieces without sinews or fatty chunks. Solid bold flavor in the sauce, that walked a good line between sweet/savory. Rice was comparable to H'Bros, no, actually it was better. People sleep on good white rice, and I don't want to do that. So their rice is quite good. My husband got the mixed BBQ plate, and said everything was really good, but he wished he had just gotten the chicken cause it was the best. I also got a spam musubi and butter mochi, both of which were pretty disappointing, but the only time I've enjoyed spam musubi is when we made it at home, so maybe I just don't know what I'm talking about there. Like, I said at the start, we'll for sure go back, and it will help kill the H'bros craving, but ultimately, if I'm comparing the two? L&L is just not as good.
