This restaurant has a pretty limited selection in proteins and veggies in comparison to other poke places I've visited. Their veggies are chopped kind of chunky and not as thin or fine. I got mine to go and had to go home and chop the shrimp, cucumbers, and onions into smaller pieces so I wasn't getting huge portions of one veggies or protein in a bite. Poke Inn is an excellent little restaurant in the Meyerland strip center. We've passed by many times to meet family and finally stopped in to try a bowl today. The place is extremely clean and well kept. You can tell the owners value their environment and want to serve you quality food. The portion sizes are great. I'm a big guy and a medium bowl was very filling. My wife is smaller and the small bowl was more than enough for her. The seafood is fresh and kept in a nice state on display. Again this speaks to the owners care in cleanliness. Some other reviews claim a limited menu. But it has a great set of combinations to fill you up. We were attended to immediately upon entering. Our table was clean and we got free WiFi. We'll be back! For every nine poke bowls you buy, the tenth is free. And we love poke and have a new place to go to with Poke Inn! read more

The bowl was satisfying, but if I was really hungry, I would've left hungry. I got the medium and it seemed like they counted out my pieces of salmon. Their toppings were similar- I got three whole pieces of pineapple. They even seemed to skimp on the brown rice, and that's the cheapest part of the bowl. The taste was good, so I'll give them that. The only thing they do well is give you a lot of avocado (for the extra $1), so please Poke Inn, don't take that away from us, too. Pretty decent and straight forward poke. Yes, it is not as "fancy" compared to the other Poke joints that have popped up on the Houston area but it will do. The fish cut are thick and chunky, which I like. Pricing is competitive and cheaper than some. They don't have a set menu like some of the other places do, so its literally all customization your way. Other places may have a suggested bowl already made for those who don't know what to order or put together. This is purely a la carte, you put what you want. You can even mix the sauces. The house sauce is pretty good and I even ask for extra. They have a frequent buyer card too so the more bowls you get, it adds up to a free one! They young lady at the counter is nice and will lead you down the available options. Since this was my first time trying poke I cant really compare to other places but will say that the rice was cooked well, generous fish portions, and toppings were fresh. I would have liked to see more sauce selections and definitely more topping selections. Let me start off by saying I am a poke snob. I have made it a point to try out the different poke restaurants around town, so I have my top picks. Poke inn is now a part of my top picks. They were very generous with the scoops of protein, the brown rice was cooked well and the options of sides were great. The premium sides, which were masago and avocado, were big portions, worth the extra dollar. It is a very mediocre Poke joint. They dont offer a variety of choices in sides and toppings. The scoops/portion sizes are very small and it is not fulfill your money's worth. I tried asking the worker for a very small scoop for better portions but she tried upcharging even though she needs to do better at making sure she knows how to scoop up a good portion. This new poke place in Meyerland was decent. Easy to park, which is a huge plus compared to the downtown poke places. I ordered the large and was full -- at other places I typically order the regular size, but here the large size was 3 scoops of protein, which is what I usually eat. Some of the toppings were a little weird -- cherry tomatoes? -- and the tuna didn't seem that fresh (very dyed pink color). They do charge extra for masago and avocado which is unfortunate, but at least they give you a lot of each one if you get them (huge scoop of masago and an entire half avocado). Also, they charge an extra dollar if you want yellowtail as a protein, which is the first time I've seen that. Would return if I was in the neighborhood but probably wouldn't go out of my way for this one. This poke restaurant opened up 2 weeks ago. The bowls are 3 different sizes (s,l,xl) and you can choose white rice, brown rice, salad or a combo of 2. I had the xl which is around 11 dollars. I was pretty hungry. The xl has a choice of 3 proteins. I chose all the fish (tuna, salmon and yellowtail). Next is the sauces and I chose spicy mayo and "naruto sauce." The "naruto sauce" is a combo of sweet and sour mayo. So it has a twist for the Naruto fans haha. I put crab meat, seaweed salad, Edamame, pineapple, wasabi, cucumber, onion, as the sides. I topped it off with notice strips, furakaki, and fried onions. The fish is fresh, rice is well cooked. The rice is not exactly sushi rice but it didn't bother me. The only thing I didn't like was the $1.00 extra charge for masago. I wanted it but didn't feel like posting the extra dollar. Avocado is a 1.00 extra too but I understand why avocado is charged extra. Overall I like the poke. The decoration remind me of souper salad with stuff like jalapeños, peas, mushrooms etc. on the wall. read more

Poke Inn is close to my house so it's convenient to grab a poke bowl and head home. The past 2 times I've been there, the employee and owner were NOT WEARING GLOVES while preparing my food. Also when you order by the scoop, you should get a full scoop and they never give you the number of scoops you are paying for. They half fill the scoop and do a hand movement that doesn't allow you to fully see what they're doing. I've pointed it out twice to them and they just ignore me. It's a rip off, there are too many good places in town who follow basic sanitary rules and don't try to cheat their customers. read more

I ordered a large poke bowl that was about $12 but when I payed it was $15 something when I said I didn't want to pay extra for the sides when I asked them how many included in the bowl. It's nice to find a poke place closer to my house. Everything there is fresh and delicious! I have no qualms with the quality. I ordered a large, 2 go, with 2 scoops of salmon, 1 scoop of spicy tuna, and all the add ins that did not have an up charge. Overall, I enjoyed my poke bowl. A few things I wish they did differently, and this is just my opinion. I wished they used real ginger instead of the pink preservatives ones, the cucumbers should be sliced thinner and I wish they had kimchi. I would definitely come again if I'm craving poke! read more
