I tried this place recently for home delivery during lunch time since it was recommended on my Uber Eats app and I was pleasantly surprised. I ordered the regular bowl with yellowtail and salmon and the fish was very fresh. I have since ordered it again and everything has been tasty. The bowl is plentiful with the ingredients and very filling. I have to admit I have high standards with food and would say I'm a foodie. I highly recommend. read more

Have ordered from here twice in the past month from DoorDash. Each time it was stated it would be a 35 min delivery time. Each time it was well over an hour or more along with more than one dash-driver having committed to picking up the order, the order not being picked up, the order being prepared again, another driving picking it up etc. they do not need to be offering their menu on a delivery service unless they are doing it themselves. read more

If you rated this less than five, your mom's a hoe. This place is amazing, particularly because it's in a freaking mall food court. This is leagues ahead of the next best option (Maki Japan? Panera?). I got tuna, salmon and shrimp (paid extra to add) with sushi rice, plus cucumber, mango, edamame, cilantro, lettuce, onion, seaweed salad and sriracha. AMAZING! I did not expect it at all. I just wanted something quick while I waited for my iPhone to be fixed. I actually even chastised myself for wanting a mall poké bowl, but this was a very pleasant surprise. Try the spinach smoothie! Great poke considering we are in D.C! I'm a proud island bebe and I now that I'm living on the mainland, I often miss the ono kine grindz of the Pacific Islands. The toppings are pretty good, especially since a lot of the poke places around here don't have the true Hawaiian flavors I love. Might I add, they also carry the Hawaiian Sun drinks that are so delicious! Unfortunately, poke on the mainland is soooo much more expensive than at home. $12 for a bowl is too much. The D.M.V. is experiencing a Poke/Poké wave and I am pleased by that. It seems like everyday I am adding a new spot to my to-do list and Poke It Up was one of them. Yes I gave a place in a mall five stars. And yes, Pentagon City is not Tysons but guess what? I'm stand by my rating. I was eyeing the menu and decided to have a meat free day (no fish neither). I know that goes against the grain, but I was the one paying. For the rice, I chose Brown and for the next step, I chose Veggies or whatever. What resulted was sad looking iceberg lettuce put on top of my rice. It wasn't wilted nor was it aging but it was plain. I had to snap out of it, take in my surroundings and commence to adding stuff. One thing I added was the House Made Soy Sauce, then I added Ginger and Sweet Red Onions. After seeing they had Tofu I asked could I get that too and there it went in my bowl! No "It'll cost a dollar more." No, "You got 'veggies' so...sorry." I added Cilantro, of course and then Mango Aoli. While they gentleman was mixing my bowl and I was paying, I mean, getting handed my change, the cashier was trying to get me to add more! I try not to be O.D. in situations like this, I know I am a paying customer and blah, blah, blah but I want what I like and not muck something up by putting Chives because they're there. No thank you. But much love to the nice lady trying to freak my bowl more--after the sale was complete. Before I started eating, I thought for a second, "She know I ain't gon like this that's why she was liberal with the add ones." I was all sorts of wrong. I think I did a wonderful job of selecting what I wanted in the bowl but the House Made Soy Sauce and the Mango Aoli were top notch! The Tofu was "flavorful,"* I mean I can't wait to return! Poke seems the be the new rage across the continental US. There many places that offer this wonderful Hawaiian delight, but not all do it well. Because Poke It Up is located in a mall food court I didn't have a huge expectation. I was mistaken! This place is awesome. They give you a nice sized scoop of fish and they have a lot of toppings to choose from. They don't skimp either. Every thing was fresh and tasty. When I am in the area I will return! read more

Without a doubt the best Poke I have ever had. I travel to DC every few weeks and make it a specific point to visit Poke It Up; sometimes driving over an hour out of my way. The food is fresh, the portions are excellent, price is more than fair for the quantity and quality of food, and the staff is always friendly and welcoming. Delicious! I was skeptical of sushi/raw fish in a mall food court, but I checked out Yelp and was pleased with what I saw. I grabbed their Signature Bowl for lunch today and added a few things to it, such as avocado and mango. They don't appear to charge you extra for avocado, only if you want extra/double avocado. I love that they don't nickel and dime you for those things - mine cost me about $12 and it was a lot of food and includes two scoops of seafood/protein; after eating, I had enough to save as leftovers for dinner. The service was great too. Prompt and courteous with friendly smiles and recommendations along the way. You can create your own bowl or choose from some pre-designed bowls. The bowl was absolutely delicious. I will certainly return the next time I am in the mall. read more

The food here is worth your money for the only decent place in the food court. I had the salmon poke with toppings of mango, tobiko, cucumbers, tofu skins, edamame, spicy imitation crab meat, and seaweed salad on a bed of white rice and spring mix. The poke bowl was also drizzled with sweet mango aioli and eel sauce. The flavors in the poke bowl was diverse, and filling as I felt that it was worth the money compared to the other offerings. My only concern was that they were not ready to replace the rice, but when the white rice came out, my resulting poke bowl had fresh boiled white rice and made it better. If I had to go back to the mall, I would have this place again. read more

I ordered the regular poke bowl with salmon and shrimp, it was super filling! The salmon tasted super fresh, and the crab and shrimp weren't as good but the aioli made everything work better. I wish they had more variety in the protein choices I could add but overall still pretty good. read more

Going with 5 Stars over 4, because it's above and beyond what one can expect from a mall kiosk. Fish takes reasonably fresh, and typically has a good amount of flavor. Able to add in an unlimited number of toppings. These aren't your typical salad bar sushi either - a good scoop of edamame is one of my favorites. Some, like avocado and masago (smelt egg) are included, while most places invariably consider them premiums. Seaweed salad and miso tofu toppings are incredibly flavorful, I usually get double of the latter. This isn't a corporate chain filled with unhappy workers, the are the owners. Staff are very friendly and vested in the success of their business. Always seem pleased when regular customers return. Price is a little up there at $10.95, but don't let that scare you off. The truth is that you're getting your money's worth every time. read more

The concept of raw fish in a mall initially made me hesitate. I was wrong. Poke It Up is really, really good. Portions are plentiful, fish tastes great and fresh, array of toppings is excellent and they're nice to newbies. I had the spicy tuna and shrimp with masago, crab, seaweed salad, ginger, cucumber, avocado with spicy mayo on sushi rice. I got home and barely got a picture before I inhaled it. I work in an office above the Pentagon City mall, and can easily say this is the best food in the food court. It's a bit pricier than all of the other restaurants though, because of their use of fresh seafood. It was about $10.95 for two scoops of seafood or $12.50 for 3 (can pick multiple types: Ahi, Yellowfin, salmon, shrimp, spicy tuna, and I think one more). It's Chipotle-esque, in that you pick a bowl or burrito, and then add up to seven toppings. The bowl bases are sushi rice, brown rice, salad or some combination. read more

It's decent, especially considering there are so few Poke places in NoVA. Over-priced, especially considering they use FAKE imitation "crab meat" when you order crab meat as a topping or proteins. It's that cheap, fake "crab meat" you can find at the grocery stores, which is just cheap Pullock fish dyed red. I consider it false advertisement to market something as "crab meat" on your menu that isn't actually CRAB. This is the only Poke place I've seen using fake/imitation crab meat instead of REAL crab meat: The whole point of Poke is for everything in it to FRESH AND REAL. They need to dump the FAKE c"crab meat" - or at least TELL customers it's FAKE on the menu - or just switch to real crab meat. Protein portions are a bit on the small side. If you can get to downtown DC, Poke Papa is much better and doesn't use an fake or "imitation" seafood ingredients and is a bit cheaper for better quality. read more

The Poke is very good great assortment of toppings. The servers were nice and the serving is quite adequate for the price.
