Decided to stop in and try this as the usual Poke shop was closed! The atmosphere was not great, the employee just seemed annoyed from the beginning. Food was underwhelming and under filled. Just was not overall satisfied at all! Seeing similar bad reviews and seeing the responses was very telling! Would not come back.

Been coming here off and on for 2 years. It's a great place for poke bowls. The workers here were so friendly and always had a smile on their faces. They have since changed workers and now they are not friendly. They talk to low under their masks. Seem to get irritated when your telling them what you want. Definitely makes us not want to come in here again and go behind their restaurant to the other poke bowl place.

Savory goodness in a bowl! Fresh greens, salmon, crab meat & seasoned veggies on a bed of rice! Made to order & friendly service!

So happy there's finally a Poke Loa location on the north shore! I like sushi, but most typical sushi rolls perpetuate the avocado plague. Poke Loa gives me the option to get exactly what I want, and to leave out what I don't want (AKA avocado). The amount of fruit/vegetables you end up getting means this probably qualifies as a healthy meal too, possibly even more so than normal sushi rolls.

New place I hadn't spotted before - Hawaiian! Convenient location right on the corner of the service road on Causeway/Hwy 22. Three stars so far for concept and cleanliness, maybe more in the near future!

Saw that this new restaurant was opening up and I waited for 2 weeks to try it. Everything was fresh and delicious! The staff was also very friendly and patient while my undecided mom tried to choose her toppings. And its so close to my home. I will definitely be back.

Tried the Magazine location first and loved it. When we heard they opened one over here we were super thrilled. Food is just the same, fresh and clean. Have been a few times and always fresh and yummy. I always get to go, haven't ate in yet.

Ask the Community - Poke Loa - Mandeville

Does Poke Loa season their rice? Like is it vinegared sushi style rice or just plain white rice?

Hi Scott. At Poke Loa, we serve a medium grain Japanese rice. It is not seasoned with anything. No salt, sugar or vinegar is added to the rice. Hope this helps!
