Really good poke spot with a lot of toppings to choose from. I went with the regular bowl for $20, and they give you a pretty good amount for the price. They also have a small for $16 if you're not super hungry. I got all spicy tuna, and honestly it wasn't too spicy. So if you're someone who usually avoids spicy food, I think you'd still be fine with it. The portions were solid, there were plenty of toppings, and everything tasted fresh. Overall, it's a good place to stop by and grab a quick bite without feeling like you didn't get enough food for what you paid. read more

I think I found my new fave poke spot!! ~$20 for a large, which is about $2 more than the regular. you got 2 scoops or protein for regular, and 3 scoops for large my brother and I got in around 730pm so it was empty. I got the large bowl with the soba noodle option (my first time getting it). This was like any other poke places, but the toppings offered were a lot more! I like that they had, mango, pineapple, radish, tomatoes, and chicharrones. And I LOVED that avocado, crab salad, and seaweed salad were already included in the price. I got the last of the soba noodles, so I was surprised that even though it was closing, she went into the back to get me more soba noodles even though it seemed like the amount she had given me was enough. they also allowed however many sauces you wanted to marinate the fish in. I chose unagi, the house sauce and ponzu. I also asked for spicy mayo drizzle at the end. my brother got the wasabi mayo but he said he barely tasted the wasabi when mixed in. total came out to be around $40 for two large bowls. I wasn't sure what I was expecting for the soba noodles, but I was pleasantly surprised and really enjoyed it. the sauces from the marinade seeped into the noodles gave it a nice light flavor. the fish was fresh and chicharrones were such a good contrast with the crunch (im a huge textures girl). I was able to eat half and and save the other half for lunch the next day. because I got soba noodles, I did not have to worry about heating up rice and separating the fish, so it was perfect. This might be a new way im gonna have to eat my poke from now on! read more

little shop in the lion market plaza, pretty small and plain inside. I got a regular bowl and it was the perfect amount of food for a quick lunch! the fish options were all quite fresh and there's a huge variety of toppings which is excellent! my bowl was quite over-sauced so i'd ask for light sauce next time but others might enjoy that. service was very friendly and professional! would def come again if i were in the area :) read more

Was craving for poke and been in this plaza multiple times but have not ordered from here before. Honestly solid poke place! Ambiance: modern and clean. Place was pretty empty on Saturday lunch noon. Parking however was difficult to find as it looked to be very active Service: worker was welcoming and friendly, was patient while I ordered. Small bowl (4/5) $16.25: 24 oz bowl with 2 scoops of protein, free sides of seaweed salad and crab salad. Fish tasted fresh to me along with the other toppings. First time seeing chicharron as a topping and more than the usual dry toppings compared to other places. This bowl stuffed me beyond. Would come here again if I'm around the area in the mood for poke. read more

Decided to give this place a try from reading all the reviews. I'm not sure what all the hype is about. I created my own bowl with regular salmon and spicy salmon. Honestly, it was okay. I did add chicharron and it was super stale. But everyone's taste buds are different, so it's worth giving it a try. read more

The fish quality is definitely good which is the most important part for poke but the portions felt a bit on the smaller side for the price. For around $20 after tax for a medium size, the bowl felt a bit small, especially when it came to the amount of fish. Flavor wise it was solid, but I left wishing it was a little more filling. If you value quality over quantity, this place is worth checking out, but hopefully they'll consider slightly larger portions in the future. read more

My first impression of this poke spot is that their bowls are loaded! It's located in the same plaza as Lion Market, so the parking can get a little crowded but people are always going in and out, so it doesn't take too long to find a spot. I was feeling hungry, so I ordered their regular bowl, and I was impressed by how much was in it! The ordering process is pretty typical where you choose your: 1. Base, 2. Proteins, 3. Sides, 4. Mix-ins, 5. Sauce, and 6. Dry Toppings. One unique base I noticed on their menu is soba noodles! I didn't try it this time, but definitely will next time. They have a good variety of mix-ins too! I also love that they include avocado, crab, and seaweed salad in their bowls, which is not common for poke places these days! Overall, I enjoyed this neighborhood poke spot! read more

Ordered take out, I got the poke bowl. I like how you can choose 3 protein toppings and there's a wide variety of other toppings to choose from. Portion size is medium (not too big, not too small). I got it with half brown rice and half greens, a which I think was generally a good combo although some grains of the rice were hard to chew. For a take out meal, I think the fulfilled the order to the tee. Decent poke! read more

Absolutely amazing. First - I couldn't decide between the small and regular bowl. I was super hungry but ended up going with the small. I'm so glad I did because I was absolutely STUFFED by the time I finished. I'm certain that the large bowl is enough for two moderate meals. Second - I wasn't sure if the spicy tuna was too spicy for me. The lady let me sample it which made my decision so much easier. Third - they did not skimp on the sides or toppings. I opted for all of them and they happily obliged. There was so much food in there that I was worried the lid wouldn't close. Somehow it did Overall, this place was an amazing value for money and they did not compromise on quality. I will happily be back again! read more

If you're looking for a poke bowl with good portions and friendly service, you're at the right place! We had a late lunch here on a Sunday and there was no wait! There was one lady working, very kind and generous. I asked for a small bowl, but it was definitely not a small amount. I got half rice, half mixed greens and loaded it with different toppings. The rice was hot and fresh and like other reviews mention, they don't charge for typical premium add-ons like masago, avocado, crab salad, and seaweed salad. Now, although I loved everything else, I wouldn't say this was my favorite poke bowl for a few reasons... none of the sauces really stood out to me (which I think makes or breaks a poke bowl), their house sauce was quite salty for my taste, the crab salad was drier than others, and some pieces of the fish weren't easy to bite through. I LOVE raw fish, but I am picky about the texture. That being said, I think making some small improvements would easily change this to 5 stars :) Total: $40 w/ tip read more

they have an interesting selection here with chicharron and they give a slice of avocado included with charge which is different. other stores you usually have to pay extra for those. the food was good, they gave a good portion but i felt like it did not have enough flavor, maybe it was because of the sauce choices i chose and it was a bit on the higher side of poke, but overall it is still a decent and good place to get poke. read more

I was craving poke and found this spot since I wanted to support a small business. It was empty when I went which was nice! I ordered a 3 protein poke bowl for $20.70 and wow I didn't realize poke bowls were now over $20! I got 2 scoops of the salmon and 1 scoop of the tuna. She gave me a decent amount of fish and I loved how the toppings and base were unique. For example, they had soba noodles as a base which I've never seen before and they had chicharron as a topping which is also new. I like how this place doesn't charge extra for crab salad or for avocado as well. The bowl was huge and was so filling (I had walked 20K steps that day and was hungry) so I demolished this bowl in less than 20 minutes haha. My fav poke bowl restaurant ever. You will see the biggest poke bowl ever when you came here. I like their house sauce, spicy house sauce and ponzu sauce mixed with tuna. Toppings are a must. They have a lot of toppings you can choose without extra charge. (10/10) The service is really good. She is sweet and she always put a lot of food on my bowl. Was super excited to try this since I saw there were a lot of reviews but lets just say I was heavily disappointed. When entering the shop, it was a little bit hot and I should've taken that as a sign to not order from here as it can be concerning for the quality of the fish. The fish did not look bad so I continued to order a medium bowl. I was excited to see that they have pork rinds as an option since its rare for me to see. Price point is typical now a days for poke but after trying it, I would probably not spend to get another meal here again. The fish was not fresh, very mushy, as if it has been sitting there for a while and the taste was not it. I don't think I will be coming back again. read more

I stopped by Poke Paradise while my car was being serviced and really enjoyed my meal! The store is small but the standard Chipotle-style experience where you make your way down the line of options. I went on a Saturday around lunchtime and there were only a couple of other people there. Everything seemed fresh and tasty! I took my order to go. There was plenty of parking since it's in a shared parking lot. Next time my car is being serviced, I'll be back! read more

I had really high hopes for this place. I liked their menu options, and that they don't charge extra for toppings! My bowl looked delicious but the fish looked and tasted like it had none of the 3 sauces I selected...however I did see the sauce on the rice. I did an online order so I didn't see if the worker mixed the sauces with the fish or not. Also, I wish they used sushi rice instead :( i had a lot of rice leftover. overall taste was 3/5, not bad but has higher hopes. Also, I saw another review about a bad avocado slice and mine was as well. Please don't add the avocado if it's brown :( read more

I have to start off by saying that I have never seen pork rinds as a topping option at a poke bowl place. Not my personal choice, but Baby Bear (but more like Goldilocks) was alll over this. He has never been so excited over poke before. What made this "his place" was when we realized that avocado was a part of the standard mix-ins. We also really liked that crab salad and seaweed salad were standard as well. Not a ton of protein options but the spicy tuna and spicy salmon were whole chunks of fish - not the pasty mix type like too many poke places have (yuck). This is definitely more of a takeout place though. There are a handful of small tables, with 1-2 of the tables taken by the employees and there's a strong smell of commercial lemon bleach cleaner. Not horrid but I prefer to just pick up and go. Would I go out of my way to come here? No. But if in the area and craving poke bowl takeout, it's a decent spot. read more

Biggest poke bowls I've ever seen! The regular bowl lets you have up to three proteins, of which I enjoyed the salmon and tamago the most. After that, the toppings are all included. I loved the fact that I could get ginger, avocado, crab salad, and seaweed salad at no additional cost. I really like the masago and tomatoes as well. I think I may need to play around with which sauce I choose next time, as the house sauce didn't have much flavor to it. Service was quick and the place was fairly quiet. Overall, I'm excited to come back here and try all the options they have. read more

My exact rating would be a 3.5/5 stars. An average poke place, very clean inside and nice workers! Pricing is fair in my opinion as they give complimentary crab salad and avocado, usually other places charge for extra or count the crab salad as a protein. They also had tamago available which I haven't seen yet! Food was good, nothing to complain about but also not much to rave either since nothing stuck out flavor wise. Unsure if I'd be back again as there are other places I'd rather go to if I'm craving a poke bowl. Worth a try though! read more

Will 100% be returning here for a poke bowl. The value for how much they fill up the bowl is great. Most poke places are close to $20 for a small these days, which is pretty pricy to me. Though the small here is close to that, it was worth it with how many things they stacked on the bowl. A major thing for me is additional costs for certain items. I was pleasantly surprised that avocado and seaweed salad had no additional charge! I was the only one there when I came, so I was helped right away. Service was quick and I was extremely satisfied with my bowl. It was piled high and the worker just smushed it all down with the lid. Inside is pretty small. Maybe 3-4 tables? I took my food to go and it was still very delicious after sitting for a bit. My favorite spot for a bowl for sure. read more

I was in the neighborhood running errands, and realized it was lunch time. I drove by Poke Paradise and was inclined to check it out. I ordered two regular poke bowls (one for me and one for my love) -- one over mixed greens and the other over white rice. For the protein, I chose Tuna and Salmon and just went in for every single topping and sauce offered on the menu. Trust me, it's better to try it all. My poke bowl was delicious. The fish was fresh and the toppings were of great quality -- I could literally taste every ingredient distinctively with every bite. I'm not on this side of town a lot but when I'm in the area again, I would not mind hitting this place up for an afternoon treat. Bonus: the staff were really friendly also. I was excited to try this place since the reviews were so high. On the plus, they offer a great assortment of toppings at no extra charge. On the downside, I found that even after 20 mins of store opening, at the fish was already fishy smelling and tasting. Make sure to ask for a sample bite before you get your bowl! The hamachi was not fresh at all so I stuck with salmon which was least fishy tasting. The employee was nice and helpful but I probably won't be returning especially with the weather warming up. read more

Returning customer because not many poke places has soba for base. The protein choices are standard, but I also like that I can choose brown sesame, black sesame and seaweed flakes for toppings. Service is good. You can join in their loyalty program too. They used to make a big box of food, but now with inflation the portion has come down. $16.50 a regular bowl and it fills me up but with no left overs. read more

Toppings (pork skin and fried garlic) were stale. Tuna was chewy and didn't taste fresh. Portion size is reasonable for the price, and the soba noodle base was unique. Service was good and it was not busy at all, got helped extremely quickly. There's some nice outdoor seating but parking can be hard to get since it's in the plaza with lion market. read more

Stopped by for a later lunch on our way to the Pumpkin Patch! Love that all the toppings and sides are included in the price! The fish options are all really good. My family and I are obsessed with this place 1000% better than All other poke places !!!!! FRESSHHHHH and come with free crab salad, seaweed salad and avocado!!! The space is clean and there's lots of parking!! The portion is sooooooo good too and they pack their bowls to the brim. I can never finish a small bowl by myself!!! usually at other poke places I feel nauseated after eating, but this place the quality is so fresh and I always come back every month for a quick tuna fix! As a quick snack or even a small meal, I always grab a few of their spam, egg, rice "musubi" and a couple unagi and salmon onigiris. These are freshly made and not refrigerated. When you enter, you snake through the aisle counter-clockwise and walk by a ton of prepared foods and meals. When busy it can feel really crowded given the narrow "one way" aisle. With the warming lights for the food, it can also feel a bit warm and stuffy in there. In the back you'll see a ton of blind boxes or viral toys like the squeezable sticks of butter or cubes. They have a large selection of Japanese Pokemon cards near the front cash register. The prices of the cards are quite expensive but can still be fun for the kids to rip open a pack or two.

Wow, the fish was incredibly fresh and nicely prepared. The fish on top was seared but didn't taste heavily of gas as many other seared fish I have had. Staff was very nice and attentive. I did enjoy being at the bar because you get to see the sushi chefs making your dinner. Very nicely designed interior. My partner's bento was good too. Chicken teriyaki was delicious. Looking forward to my next visit. It might be my favorite restaurant in the plaza.

The kinmedai sushi had a soft fish texture with some subtle sweetness. This was fine. The sushi dinner, this is one of the items I got here previously and it was okay - nothing too special, good fish variety. It also comes with a miso soup, and a side salad. The seafood yosenabe was pretty good, it had a mix of pieces of salmon, a white fish, fish cake, tofu, shrimp, napa cabbage and carrots in a dashi broth with fish flavor. This also came with a bowl of rice, miso soup and a salad. Decent portion and great for a cold day. Overall - this time the food was okay for me.

The spice and the taste were seemingly mild for my preference (however as I ate it with my spicy tonkotsu ramen broth, it became the perfect match), rice was perfect and the portion was heavier than I assumed which was a happy plus as a ricer lover. Personally love the seaweed bits. Whilst we began to eat the karaage, the waiter came and set our bowls of spicy tonkotsu ramens onto the table. We were able to take our time to eat our chicken, since as we eventually began to eat our noodles, they were still firm and the soup base was hot but not too hot to eat and enjoy right away. The egg is prepared absolutely perfect, the best I've had yet. It's the type of egg made for ramen. Broth was milky and delicious. I asked for extra woodear mushroom and menma on the side, as I do at every ramen spot I encounter, however I shouldn't have here because the topping portions were generous in-standing. However, I did still spoil myself to the extra toppings, so not a total loss since I really love menma and mushroom. I was also impressed by the spicy paste on top, actually felt a kick as someone who enjoys extremely spicy food. I overheard customers ask for "extra firm" noodles, so I might do so but the noodles were still wonderfully firm. Our order altogether came out to $89.98, not including tip. If i would to guess, it might fit 30-50 people tops or maybe less. We ordered the food and felt the food came out very quickly. We ordered both the chashu ramen and tonkotsu ramen. The portions felt small, broth isn't bad though. I enjoyed it. However, this place is very different than the tsujita annex in socal. I thought the portions were bigger at the annex. So in comparison, I prefer the tsujita annex over this location. This place overall isn't bad but not sure if I would return.

Salmon Kama bento is salmon collar over rice, fried boneless chicken, takoyaki and edamame, blistered tomatoes and shisito peppers with pickles. The salmon collar needed some salt in my opinion. For the food overall, it was a little bit under seasoned for me but for portion, price and quality are good.

They have a happy hour menu from 7 to 10 pm on Saturdays, but they differ depending on the day. They have some appetizers and drinks on the happy hour menu, so we tried the gyoza, mochi and side tempura. The mochi had a house made sauce glaze that was sweet and salty, and came with nori as a wrap. The texture of the mochi was really soft and chewy. The gyoza were really crispy with a soft interior. We ended up ordering a second round of them. The tempura was nicely fried with not too much batter. The shrimp was really succulent and I liked that they have mushroom tempura too. From their regular menu, we ordered a bunch of food. I tried the yaki-onigiri ochazuke with salmon, fried chicken skin, the eggplant and various skewers. The fried chicken skin was really nice and crispy, and came with a ponzu sauce and mayo to dip in. The yaki onigiri was nicely grilled and still had crispy bits when submerged in the soup. I was really excited that they have shishamo/smelt. It was nicely roasted and didn't have any overtly fishy flavor. Everyone at my table really enjoyed their food. We washed it all down with a bottle of chilled junmai sake. A nice touch: they bring over a basket filled with mismatched ceramic and glass sake cups so everyone can choose their own. Excellent food, comfortable atmosphere, and a welcome reminder that Japanese cuisine offers much more than sushi and ramen.

OMG I cannot express my emotions in any way other than that. Just OMG. Where do I even start? The fish was fresh, the portions were generous, and the mix-ins were unique compared to other poké places I've tried. (GET THE MANGO YOU GUYZ HELLA WORTH.) There were a number of occasions where we just flagged staff for requests. Shout out to Carlos- this young man was always upbeat, mind, and very welcoming. He made every interesting a breeze and happily obliged with customers inquiries. REGARDLESS OF HIM NOT BEING OUR ACTUAL SERVER! Once dinner was over, Carlos stopped by to see if we wanted to order dessert. We slyly asked if there could be any singing for the birthday babe and he 100% made it happen- even if he was the only staffer to sing along with our party. 5/5 stars!!! This TY and review is specifically dedicated to Carlos. Our entire party appreciates your efforts and your high quality work ethics are undeniable. Thank you for making the birthday babe feel loved- she absolutely left the restaurant with warm, fuzzy feelings.

Back again for happy hour…read more Like this place bc they're super friendly and accommodating. You do need to speak a lil Spanish bc they have Spanish speakers servers but i think it makes it fun. Food is always great. Ambiance is great too. They got a big picture tv n music is okay. Happy hour is the best deal. Both came under $20! So yey!

Lo tiraré a la basura, donde la comida se siente como en casa. I picked up the Sashimi combo: Hamachi was acceptable. Tuna was rotting. Salmon was rotting. I called them and they placed me on hold for 20+ minutes.. when I spoke to them they didn't care or pretended not to understand me. Avoid fish at this place. They don't care. I threw the food in the trash where it belonged and can feel right at home.

We were craving for Korean fried chicken wings and found this place in west San Jose…read more Their menu had crispy fried and non-fried options, and each had a few flavors to choose from. There were a few side dish choices too. We got the Yangnyeom flavor for fried combo of drumsticks and wings, as well as Tteokbokki. The wings/drumsticks were crispy on the outside and tender inside. The Yangnyeom flavor was sweet but paired well with the chicken. We got medium hot and it only had a very light hint of spiciness. The Tteokbokki portion was quite big and it had rice cake, fish cake, cabbage, and two dumplings. The sauce was slightly spicy but flavorful. Our cravings were satisfied. Definitely a nice place to have quick bites of Korean fried chicken.
