When we called to let them know we didn't receive fried rice, we were told that this was their version of fried rice and that they don't add soy sauce or hoisin sauce. Instead, we were told they simply heat white rice in the wok. What was most disappointing was the response. Rather than apologizing or offering to correct the order, we were told that we "should have known" this is how they make it. This is especially frustrating since we've ordered from them many times in the past and their fried rice was always made with sauces and had the expected flavor and color. Authentic fried rice is cooked with sauces that give it both taste and color, so this explanation didn't sit right with us. After being a near-weekly customer, this experience was enough to lose us. We won't be ordering again--especially now that a new Chinese restaurant has opened in Manchester.

Chinese & Japanese (bento boxes) Lunch Specials are offered until 3PM, priced $8.95 to $12 range. I stopped by for late evening takeout recently and picked up an order of Chicken Pad Thai ($10.95 plus tax), which was ready in 10 minutes. The portion of Pad Thai was good, which had a mix of red & green peppers, onions, sprouts, egg, ground peanuts, tender soft slices of boneless chicken, lime and soft cooked noodles, which had a slightly sweet flavor and a wet texture, but not overdone. Eddie went out of his way to make a fresh batch of rice for our order for impressive quality. All the while being extremely genuine, great to talk to and clearly knowledgeable and passionate about the restaurant.
