Usually we love coming to this one. There's one guy that has no personality, and his customer service needs training. All other workers there are warm and caring, this one guy is cold and when you say hello he pretends not to hear us. My partner and I find him dry as toast. We don't like coming here when he's here. I'm sure we are not the only ones. Everything about this place is cool. You should take this one worker and train him in customer service 101. Needs basic interpersonal skills and doesn't engage and not good for the Poke Brand. Hope there are other poke towns! read more

I'm not one to normally give a 1 star review, but it seems necessary in this case. Me and my husband came here for a late lunch yesterday. First off, the inside of the building was warm like the HVAC system doesn't work. The employee working the counter had zero customer service skills and hardly said a word to us while speaking very quietly. Their midriff also kept showing so the professionalism was very much lacking. The color of the tuna seemed very off, and we almost didn't order because of it. Reluctantly we still ordered and took our bowls home. Luckily I did not get food poisoning from it but kept getting a sour taste and had to spit out my food. I suspected it was the cucumber so I took them out and finished the bowl. This was our second visit as we weren't crazy about our first experience but wanted to give them another shot. Do NOT order from the place through grub hub or door dash. Or maybe not even this late in the evening (7:30 ordered through grub hub). I swear we got the BOTTOM of the barrel, scrapped fish that was left over for the night. I ordered a jumbo bowl with 5 proteins to share with my daughter. In comparison to other places, it was equivalent to maybe 2 scoops of protein. No bowl size difference. And mostly rice! The "toppings" were almost non-existent. I'm pretty sure this was the most horrible poke bowl I have ever received in my entire life. The second bowl I ordered with tuna and spicy tuna had two different colored fish in it: one red and one pink. Nothing about either was spicy. Most disappointing poke experience in awhile. My fault I guess for not reading the reviews first about this place, and about the crab not being crab salad, only imitation crab meat... But I ordered the spicy tuna, I got regular tuna. I don't like the big chunks of tuna, so I had to take all of that off my bowl. The sauce was almost completely on the fish so there went most of the flavor for the rest of the bowl. I paid extra for extra crab and there was barely any on there at all. At most maybe a tablespoon full. Certainly not worth the extra $1.25 I paid to not even get the full included amount of crab. I also asked for green onions, I think there were maybe 6 total. I wasted all this money for basically a bowl of rice with some seaweed and edamame beans. If everything looked, smelled and tasted fresh and delicious, I probably could have enjoyed my lunch. Finally made my way over here today. I placed an order online via poke bowls website not grubhub. It was very easy to find and it's right next door to Little Caesars. I got a text message telling me what time my bowl would be ready. I got there early and waited in my car, playing on my phone. I received another text telling me my bowl was ready earlier than expected. I walked in and I was greeted by a super friendly gentleman. I told him I placed an order, gave my name he handed my bowl to me and I was on my way. Since it's not too far from my house and so easy to place an online order. I will be visiting more often. We've been going to Poke Town in Antelope almost since they first opened. I'm not sure if there are new owners or what's going on here, but this place is nolonger what it used to be as it used to be great!! The quality of the fish always was fresh and the quantity of the items placed in my order was always in par with the price. Today we had a completely different experience. The quality of the fish was not the same, quite chewy, and the portion size of the two scoops of protein was now slightly less than what one scoop previously was. My Poke bowl base is always just lettuce, the quantity I received today was about as much as what would be put on a sandwich. In addition they no longer have crab salad as an add on, but rather just crab (imitation at that), and it had a very fishy smell to it. When my husband brought my bowl home to me and I saw what I received, I called the store. A girl answered the phone "Hello". I had to ask if i had called Poke Town, which she replied yes, but sort of flipant. The girl, Soledad, was not helpful at all as all she would answer to my questions (is this restaurant under new management? Are there new owners?) was to continually say "I don't know, I'm just an employee". When I asked if I could speak with a manager she told me there wasn't one for me to talk to. And when I asked how I could speak with a manager, she said "try going out to the website " - WHAT???!!! I then asked if she had the ability to take my contact information to have a manager call me back and she said "I guess". Not only has the quality and quantity of the food gone way down hill, so has the customer service. Save yourself the time and money and stay clear of this place. My husband and I ordered two mega bowls (5 scoops of fish)...costed $35 and tasted pretry mediocre. Their scoop is really tiny. FYI 2 scoops is $11 and 3 scoops is $13. Avocado is extra $1 and eel from China is $1.5 extra and one slice equals to one scoop...no thanks! Fish are chopped small and unsatisfying, being used to big cubes of ahi in Hawaii. On the positive note, customer service was nice and the store was clean. It is really hard to find a good poke in this area. Actually there are not too many to begin with. Came in for a quick dinner. Nestled between Little Caesars and Fire Wings on Elverta Rd in Antelope, CA. Due to state mandate, no indoor dining but I took my order to go. Love having a poke store near me now it's so good it's definitely my go to place for poke not only because it's near by also because a great portion for the price and everything you need for a poke bowl. This place was so good! Upon entering, I was greeted by a really friendly young man. He was helpful since it was my first time in this establishment. My poke bowl was delicious! Instead of rice, I went with the salad base and I am so glad I did. The mixed greens were nice and crisp, toppings were abundant, and salmon was fresh! My wife and I got in here today, after missing last weeks grand opening. The bottom line is that it's good - easily on par with, or above, the competition in the area. We had been going to Yummy Poke in Roseville, but it's a 20 minute drive and honestly the quality has gone down recently. So Poke Town opening when it did was a huge stroke of luck. Back to the actual review: We were greeted warmly when we walked through the door. The restaurant is clean and well lit. There were two groups eating when we came in. If more people came in, seating would be an issue, but it wasn't today. I got a large (3 scoops or protein) and my wife got a regular (2 scoops). Between us we were able to try the tuna, spicy tuna, and shrimp. All very tasty and good portions. Unlimited toppings, and you can ask for more if you felt they were stingy with one. Plus, no charge for crab or avocado, which is always a plus. They helped us pick delicious sauces to compliment our bowl. And the people behind the counter explained how Poke worked to a guy that came in to try it for the first time. We will definitely come back and reevaluate if anything changes. My husband and I placed an online order when he got home I realize that my order was incorrect so I just took my order back and I asked the gentleman to remake it he said absolutely not because he made it the right way and if I wanted it made a different way I would have to re-purchase another bowl online. He refused a refund refused to let me speak to a manager. I was shocked by the lack of customer service. All I wanted was for him to make my food the correct way.
