I always crave Chaodown Poki! I'm thinking I need to be here at least once a week! I was just in here the other day and thinking... I have been to other poki places and nothing compares to the freshness, the flavor... and THE PRICE! I am always satisfied with the flavor and I am so happy that after getting a large bowl (5 scoops of protein!) I have enough to make 2 meals out of it! I always go with their fresh salmon (there is tuna and scallops available as well), but let's start with the base... I have them put in some spring mix in the togo container and then cover that with some white rice. Brown rice is an option as well. Next, you pick your protein. In a separate bowl, they put your protein into it and you have your choice of success they can toss it in. I like a sweet and savory, with some spicy, so I go with sweet and spicy mayo, salty sesame shoyou, sometimes sweet unagi, and definitely add sesame and chili oil... what can I say, I am a saucy girl! Then they put that tossed fresh fish over the base. Then you pick your toppings. There is a soft boiled egg, cucumber, pineapple, crab mix, seaweed salad, kimchee, masago (they also have spicy), jalapenos, green onions, and so many more choices. To top it off, you can add the chili oil, soy sauce, furkake, and crispy wontons. For measly $22 and change your got an easy 2 meals. Please, don't forget to leave a tip! I like to sit inside and eat half here. They are always working hard with online orders and customers walking in. I like to use the chopsticks, but I also get a togo fork as well in case my daughter eats my other half (highly likely!) The biggest reason for this review is that this is the best price around. The best fresh flavor around! If you guys like poki bowls, I absolutely encourage you to come to Chaodown Poki and I promise you'll be a fan, too! My most favorite poki in Roseville! They portions are generous, the quality of food is so fresh and tasty and the service is so friendly, fast and efficient. The restaurant is clean, cozy and cute. I found this spot on Yelp and the name made me laugh! We were in the area and hungry for lunch so we came in and so glad we did. Chaodown has lots of great protein selections. I got the regular bowl that has two scoops - and they were big scoops. I went with the Chaodown mix - which is marinated tuna and salmon, plus yellowtail. The yellowtail was low so she added fresh yellow tail to mine. I did half salad mix and half brown rice. Lots of great toppings and sauces too. I went with the spicy sweet mayo and the wasabi cream - Wasabi cream was really spicy - I sneezed after my first bite -but I thought it gave it a nice kick. My husband had the XL and it was enormous. Five scoops of protein! Personally regular was plenty for me. I thought all the fish looked really fresh and loved all the topping choices. Plus the bowls were really reasonably priced compared to others we've visited. They also have lots of drinks, mochis and other desserts. My friend and I came here after a trip to the Galleria on a Saturday afternoon around 4 PM. We were craving poke and found this spot on Yelp. Since we weren't super hungry, we decided to share one poke bowl with two scoops of protein. It was around $15, and honestly, for what we got, it was so worth it. We asked for three scoops of salmon and basically all the available toppings. We ended up with a mountain of food--partly because we chose salad greens as our base, and they really don't skimp. I can't remember the exact sauce we chose, but it was a soy-yuzu mix, and it paired perfectly with everything. The staff member helping us was incredibly sweet. My friend doesn't like jalapeño or pineapple, but I do, so she put those in a separate bowl so we could split everything easily once we sat down. Which was a thoughtful touch. My coworkers and I ordered from this place one day through DoorDash. For one the pricing here is very reasonable! Compared to other poke places which are overpriced here even though it is cheaper the quality of the fish remains great. I ordered a regular bowl with salmon and spicy tuna and I loved that they give you a variety of options for sauces and veggies. Upset. I went out in the pouring rain to pick up my order and I am again disappointed with the pre-order. I placed online through grubbhub and I'm missing items that I did request as topping in my bowl. As the screenshots show I requested an egg and crab salad and found neither in my order. I'm giving h them a 1 star because I hope they can somehow compensate. Small, humble, not particularly good looking nor sparkling clean. Nice employees greet, take the order and then make the meal. But the poke is serviceable. No worse than some I've eaten on Kauai, where I vacation every year. Salad greens are crispy fresh. The spicy tuna mash tastes like the stuff I get in Hawaii. The shrimp tempura is some kinda batter that's shaped into a cylinder, breaded and fried. For the same price as a McDonalds combo burger meal you can eat something here that's much healthier, more tasty and will set in your stomach much more peacefully.
