Tried it after numerous recommendations and I was very disappointed. If you're coming expecting traditional poke (chunks of fresh fish marinated in sauce) you're going to be disappointed. The end result is chunks of very cheap fish with copious amounts of heavy, mayo based sushi sauces slathered on top. Decided against the ahi or hamachi. You can tell just by sight that the quality is not there. Ordered the salmon, which turned out to be none too fresh either. I ended up eating around most of it. The taste and texture was off in my opinion. The white rice tasted like it had been undercooked or sat out too long. The edamame and seaweed salad were ok. Service was quick and friendly, but I do not plan on returning. The fish is borderline inedible. read more

Service was not great, the one guy rolled up my burrito and most of the protein (my salmon) came out of it and he just left it like that and I was still charged full price with most of my salmon out. Also the bits of salmon that I did have were way too chewy and hard to eat and I've eaten raw salmon before just not the same quality as normal sushi should be. The owner's unethical practice by not paying his fee when he gave a verbal agreement is tarnishing his own reputation. I do not support this business because I don't approve of shady deals where the proprietor doesn't pay his dues. His words are empty and food is overpriced. What you sell is falsehood, which makes you a liar when an agent negotiated you a bargain price for your next location and you had to turned stingy. Greed is a sin and whoever referred you are ashamed that you have no honor or code of conduct. These are small towns, low character won't take you far, a negative outcome is like wildfire, it spreads. I only had Poke once before this all the way out near Oakland and I vividly remember being so disappointed that there wasn't one near my hometown. Fast forward a few months later and this little blessing opened up just 10 minutes from where I live. The staff and food is INCREDIBLE. The fish is extremely fresh despite being so far from the sea and the portion sizing is extremely filling for the price. I have come back 4 times and each time was just as amazing as the last. The tuna chunks were far from fresh but that was to be expected being this far from the ocean, it has to be frozen. I have Celiac disease and cannot eat gluten, so poke places are usually a great option for me as the main ingredients are naturally gluten free. I told them immediately that I was gluten free and would just need information about the sauces. They said no problem and would help me. They made my bowl and then once we got to the sauces they refused to tell me what was in them, saying they don't give out that information and that the only sauce I could have was some jalapeño sauce, but again they wouldn't tell me what was in it. I asked to speak to the manager or owner and they refused that as well. I've never had an experience like that at a restaurant. Simply from their lack of professionalism and rude customer service, I do not recommend them establishment whatsoever. read more

The main guy there is so nice, he went out of his way to make our experience a great one offering a free rice bowl for my toddler and even gave us some extra spicy salmon just because. I've tried to give this place a few tries before I made up my mind. And over all I am not happy. The workers always seem annoyed to have to take our order and provide us with food. The hot protein and rice are often cold. But the final straw is their customer service. We paid $5 for a mango smoothie that tasted awful. We had only taken one sip. We asked if replacing it for a different flavor would be okay. And where rejected. Working in food I understand it's annoying, but the customer satisfaction should come first. So far the only Poki place that I know of in Visalia until they open another Poki place up in North Visalia area. Since opening, the food is great. The bowls are the bomb and the poki burrito are great too. They added bulgogi as a protein and have a kids bowl now. One of my favorite drinks that I haven't seen elsewhere is the watermelon Brisk drink. It may look busy with the cars in front but they are fast to making the food. When good places go bad. The first time I came here it was so incredible that I had to tell everyone about it but since then each experience has been worse. The first time I came the staff was friendly and clean but every time I come back the staff looks dirtier and less willing to do their job. Portions we're good now they try to fill you up on rice which is now coming out burned, while everything else gets significantly smaller. At first they would tell me how other than protein everything was as much as you can get, now you swear you would get from their personal stash.Asked for avocado and they gave me 3 slices in a plastic container and charged me 1.50 for it. They got the order wrong last time as well and charged me more for it again which is hard to understand because we're ordering it right in front of them. The food still taste good but the service is seriously slipping. Literally having staff cough in front of the food and wipe it on their sleeve. Super friendly service here. Food is solid. I've had lots of poke bowls from Orange County and several in Fresno...this place is good. Prices are on par with the other establishments I've eaten at. Solely judging from only being open for a few days, I'd come back. I think the size of protein scoops is a little on the small size compared to other places. I got a "Keto" friendly bowl: Cabbage and cucumber as a base. 2 scoops shrimp and 2 scoops tuna. Avocado. Yum yum sauce (mayo based) and spicy Mayo. Cilantro, green onion, white onion, togarashi and sesame seed. Yes, it was expensive at like $12 with the added protein and avocado, but it kept me full for nearly 6 hours. I took the bowl to go. Flavor was good, but when I got home I added a few dashes of Tamari (similar to soy sauce) and sesame oil. That's exactly what the bowl needed...a little soy sauce and sesame oil flavor. Met the owner as well, he was very friendly and thanked me for coming in. Restaurant of course was very clean and enough 2 and 4 tops for about 30 people.
