We were a party of four, seated quickly and our server came up after 5 minutes or so, asked about drinks. We ordered he brought them and then disappeared...didn't ask if we wanted appetizers. We stopped him on his next lap passing by and asked for edamame, he brought one order and left. Had to stop him again and asked for another order as he didn't wait long enough for us to say two orders the first time...he dropped it off and gone againWe were ready to order so we had to flag him down again. Finally ordered and he brings one order...then 5 minutes later another order...and then 5 minutes for the next order and then closer to 10 minutes for the last order. No apparent thought given to bringing everything at the same time so we can all eat together? Sitting at the bar ended up being a great choice! The restaurant has a really fun, welcoming vibe, and everyone on the staff was friendly and attentive. The food was absolutely delicious. I ordered the trio with the Johnny Burger, sweet potato fries, and the Cobb salad, and everything was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. I honestly wanted to try several other items on the menu because everything sounded so good, but I was completely full by the end of my meal. If you're visiting downtown Paso Robles, I definitely recommend stopping here. Great atmosphere, excellent service, and fantastic food. I'll definitely be back the next time I'm in town!

The service is great, always welcoming and friendly. Very attentive as well. Not to mention there sizes and plates are worth the prices. It is located on an upstairs area right by the towns movie theater, so you have a nice view from outside and inside sitting area as well. Super enjoyable view and area. Very relaxing place as well if you want to go on a family dinner or dinner with your significant other. They are also pet friendly, they allow pets on their porch area. Which is pretty space full as well. Have some tables as well a bar sitting outside. If you're ever in town or looking for a new place to try definitely come check out Umi :))

The cowboy roll - it was good. If I ever went again, this is what I would order. Red hot chili roll - least favorite roll (very rice heavy, very little protein). Pass. Very spacious restaurant with a large menu with lots of potential, which is why we were excited, But we should've checked the reviews prior. Staff is very friendly, very welcoming and knowledgeable about their items. Definitely a good spot to come to eat as a big group. Bathrooms are clean and so are tables and chairs. Both locations have a bar sitting , as well sitting outside or inside. Both are in the center of their towns super close to everything and parks. Come check them out and give them a try !! The steak was cooked nicely and had a great crust on the outside, very flavorful with just the right amount of saltiness. The Brussels were some of the best I've had even though they were so simple. I ate every last one! The slaw was ok but not a ton of flavor, it was pretty light on the sauce. We also got an order of bacon wrapped jalapeños with cilantro ranch. They were so good! We destroyed them in seconds while burning our tongues on the lava-like cheese. Worth it!
