The food here is good, but their customer service is some of the worst I have experienced in this area. I am not sure if it is the rules of the owners, or how they train their employees, but you typically will be met with poor attitudes and very limited abilities to customize your poki bowls. For example, I purchase 2 regular size poki bowls, which each comes with 3 scoops of fish each. I try to ask for my bowl to only have 2 scoops instead of 3 (because I don't like too much fish) and I ask for the 3rd scoop to please be added to my other bowl. They absolutely do not allow this.. and state that if you only want 2 scoops, you still have to pay for 3 and are NOT ALLOWED to add the 3rd scoop that you're ALREADY PAYING FOR to be added to your other bowl. Either way you put it, 3 scoops + 3 scoops = 6 scoops that you pay for.. 2 scoops + 4 scoops = the same 6 scoops you pay for. You are not allowed to do this, and they are always so rude when you ask. I wish I had more options for poki places in my area. They also got rid of their mango option and replaced it with canned pineapple. Not sure if I want to keep giving them my business.. read more

My boyfriend and I came here on a Friday night around 630pm. The interior of this place is really nice and new. It has a lot of sitting area if you want to eat there. I opted for the regular (3 scoops of fish, $9.95) and my boyfriend got the large (4 scoops of fish, $11.95). The two girls helping us were very nice. One girl knew what she was doing, and the other had to admit to me it was her first day on the job, which I didn't mind. For toppings they have: corn, pico, cucumber, edamame, seaweed salad, jalapeño, spicy crab, regular crab, spicy tuna, green onions, red onions, sesame seeds, fried onions, and furikake. Their sauces are about the same as everywhere else. The girls were nice enough to let us try to sauces before putting them onto our fish. I opted for the ginger sauce with the sesame oil and mustard. Our bowls overall were decent, but the sauce wasn't noticeable when all mixed together. This place was nice and the food was decent, but I definitely prefer Poke Dot in Claremont better. read more

Wow, 5 stars all the way. Tried for the first time today. The fish tasted like it was caught this morning. I got a poke bowl with tuna, spicy tuna, and spicy salmon. All were amazing along with a healthy portion of delicious avocado. This place is the best poke out side of a high end restaurant I have had. I love that they do so much more than just poke bowls. I also got a spicy tuna roll as well. The cut roll was great, and I enjoyed taking a few things out of the poke bowl and adding the to a piece of the tuna roll. The only critique would be the cut tuna roll did not come with wasabi, Or ginger. I definitely would want and expect that with a cut roll. I ordered delivery through door dash. 20 dollars for a 3 protein bowl and each scoop was not even a spoon full. I love poke for the the protein not for the rice and toppings. Being stingy with the protein defeats the purpose of poke. I ask the server why there was so little and she said "he makes us top it off" but proceeded to scoop the protein not to the top. I even asked her to look at the other server serving the man behind me because he was giving pretty healthy scoops. Then to top it off she totally drowns my bowl with eel sauce and spicy mayo hoping to make up for the little scoops of protein. Poki & Maki is by far the best & freshest poke place I have been to in the Inland Empire. Their selections are varied for any customer's liking, not to mention, they all taste delightful. Truly yummy & tender. I recommend this place to anyone who has an affinity for poke because it is insanely good. The only thing I would change about this business are the prices. While I love and constantly grab the regular sized poke bowl, I always end up paying around $17.50 for it. That's a lot in my opinion. The quality of fish was just okay, and the shrimp looks to be frozen thawed shrimp... (as it was in a container with water, I know many different poke locations don't mix the shrimp with water... kinda gross in my opinion). The fact that every item is extremely overpriced for like meh poke/sushi throws me off a lot. Everything is very fresh. You can always catch them bringing out fresh poke to the table. I have been here 2 times and love it both times. I have to say with all these new poke places showing up its hard to find a great spot that is fresh. This is definitely one of my favs. The spicy salmon is my favorite. I also love that the spicy tuna is not counted as a protein. I cant have shellfish so some places dont give me a lot of options for toppings/ proteins. This is a big plus at having right by my work.
