I like Poki Bowl! It's nice to be able to customize your bowl exactly how you like it. I always get half greens and half rice. I prefer the tuna over the other protein choices. Sometimes the portion sizes vary depending on who's working, but overall it's still a good value. There are lots of toppings to choose from, and the service is usually nice and quick. The restaurant is clean inside, which I appreciate. Always a solid choice when I'm craving poke! read more

I love love Poki bowls. I crave poki! I have been known to only eat poki for a week. So, I was thrilled to learn that we do, in fact, have a Poki spot here in Gilroy. Is it the best Poki bowl I've ever had? Absolutely not. However, there are no other Poki Bowl options around... this fact is what solidifies Poki Bowl with four stars. It is essentially a 'build your own' poki which is great. You pick how many sauces, raw fish, toppings, etc. you want. Or just be like me and say 'Everything'. The folks behind the counter are always super friendly to me. I go here constantly and will be back consistently. read more

Honestly, this place really put a big smile on my face! I came yesterday after a long day at work and it really was the highlight of my day haha. I've been to other Poki Bowl locations before and safe to say... they don't even compare to this new Gilroy location! The prices are a bit high (but what ISN'T nowadays, especially in the Bay Area). Nonetheless, I feel like it was worth it! - Good quality food! The fish was fresh and they had a variety of ingredients. - You DON'T have to pay extra for avocado. Need I say more?? - Nice and clean atmosphere - Amazing service from start to finish. I was greeted with a friendly face right when I opened the door and overall just had a great time here. Big brownie points for great customer service. So glad to see that Gilroy finally has a poke place - I've been waiting for this! Poke is on my list of top 5 favorite foods and this place felt a little short. Don't get me wrong the place was clean, had excellent service and the food was fine but it just lacked a bit of flavor. The fish tasted fresh enough but could have been a little fresher. The toppings were fine but a staple of a Poke place for me is that in needs to have masago and eel sauce and it lacked both of those. Not a bad place to grab a quick poke lunch in Gilroy and I can see coming back and giving it another shot but it wasn't my favorite. read more

Came in for dinner as it was just too warm to make dinner and because the poki craving was real! I have been here many times and everytime the restaurant is clean and neat. This Poki Bowl is in a nice location with plenty of parking. Upon walking in , I noticed the high ceilings and how clean the inside. I was also greeted right away and the temperature inside was cool. There are plenty of tables with lots of eating space and the max amount of people permitted is 46. What did I pick ? I got a large bowl consisting of brown rice, salmon, shrimp, ahi tuna, yellow tail, cucumbers, onions, mild sauce, avocado, seaweed, ginger, seaweed mix, and topped off with miso sauce. The portion sizes were perfect And evenly balanced. Every bite was satisfying and tasty and I could not put down the fork. The food was fresh, the ginger was so flavorful, and I kept thinking "Wow, I've never had a bowl this delicious as this one" I devoured the entire bowl, not a spec of food remaining. My wife and I tried this place out as we were craving sushi/fresh fish. The prices here are a bit high but the ingredients were good and the bowl was filling. Everything tasted fresh. Their poki sauce is delicious. It's great you get to pick 4 proteins, including yellow tail, and salmon and shrimp , my favorites. Brown rice or sushi rice so my wife split a large bowl with me half brown rice, half sushi rice, and it was under $20 for lunch , 10 each. Great Deal ! We will be back . read more

I only eat here if I'm feeling mad desperate. I love tuna poke but options are severely limited around here. The taste of everything is just so subpar. The ingredients are usually not fresh including the fish itself. And I swear every employee I have ever come across here seems so unhappy with their job here and it translates to how they treat their customers. Side note: if they aren't getting that many customers, the fish most likely won't be as fresh. Just what I've learned with poke shops read more

This is the only poke place in Gilroy that i'm aware of but they know what they're doing! The customer service never disappoints and they're generous with the amount of toppings they put in so it makes the price worth it. I order a regular size bowl w/ sushi rice, mild spice, tofu, cucumber, edamame, green onions, masago, avocado, imitation crab, furakake, sesame seeds, crunchy onions and spicy mayo. They pack on so much and I usually have enough to eat for later. I go here on dates with my boyfriend or hangout with my friends when we get the chance to. So happy to finally have a poke place in town! This place is delicious, fast and fresh. Was very happy to see this place here and that its a nice clean location for poke. Quick friendly staff and plenty of seating indoor. I ordered my bowl with sushi rice, spicy tuna, ahi tuna and shrimp with a medium sauce and avocado and a bunch of other things. So delicious! The parking lot at this location is the worst.....not sure what the city was thinking when they built two drive thrus in a tiny parking lot. Good luck trying to get into the parking lot with the long Starbucks car line hogging up the exit and entrance. read more

Reasonable priced (good value) and a nice variety of ingredients but limited on sauces. Super nice surprise that they don't charge extra for avocado. We usually get the salad and sushi rice combo. Salmon is our favorite protein; would pass on the octopus. Recommend going there and ordering instead of ordering online. 2 of our party of 4 discovered they were missing items in their bowl when we got home; even though the print out listed all the items correctly. I've been coming here for dinner, at least once a week, for months. That's how much I like this place! Ambience: modern, bright, very clean, and welcoming! Service: Superb! All of the employees there are very professional, friendly, welcoming, warm, accommodating, and efficient. They make each visit a very positive experience! Food: Excellent! Everything looks very clean and fresh, including the fish. I've tried everything except the octopus and it all tastes very good. They are also generous with the amount of fish they give you. I'm glad they are here in Gilroy, we just don't have any decent Sushi or poke place around here. Tried them for the first time today via doordash. Please consider participate in the dash-pass program, I honestly would order from you a lot more frequently. The Good : Good portions on the raw fish. Decent freshness The Not So good : The rice was terrible. It didn't taste like sushi rice to me, plus when I received it, it was still warm and mushy. Just got a bowl with two scoops of crab, the crab had gone bad. Super disgusting almost rancid. I called and the guy who answers the phone just said okay when I told him, I suggested he through out the crab and he said we already changed it out. Pause. Solid poke place! Wouldn't be out of place in a larger/more metropolitan location even, so especially for Gilroy this exceeded our expectations. Good portions and fish was fresh. Only criticism is the sauce - I picked mild and it really didn't taste like anything besides sesame oil. Luckily I added the miso dressing on top which helped with the flavor. Hubby got the spicy sauce and said it wasn't really spicy, kind of looked like sriracha. All the workers were super nice and helpful. Overall 4.5 stars, rounded up to 5. read more

The dim sum sampler was mostly average. The only piece we could not eat because we found it disgusting was the chicken mochi. My partner said the chow mein was something he would come back for. If that was the only thing he ate it would be 5 stars. I ate the Shanghai Noodle Three delight. It was not a delight. It advertised having items like noodles, bean sprouts, onions, chicken, egg, shrimp, and calamari. After ordering I found it is supposed to come with 3 pieces of shrimp and 3 pieces of calamari. My plate only had two pieces of calamari. At first I was disappointed there wasn't more calamari, but then I tasted it. The calamari tasted rubbery, tough, and no good flavor. When I brought the problem of only having 2 pieces of calamari and they only said it usually tastes like that and I should have gotten three pieces. (So no solution.) My advice to the restaurant, if you know the majority of your customers think the calamari is disappointing, don't serve calamari. The dish would have been much better if you put more shrimp and deleted the calamari. (Without up charging customers.) The servers were kind and friendly. It did seem weird how busy they were when there were only two tables eating at the place. We barely saw them but they did fill up our drinks before we thought to ask.

The only truly edible things are the dim sum ... which I'm pretty sure are not made on site but…read moreheated up on site from frozen. And it is very pricy. The fried rice is mushy and overcooked, the hot and sour soup is not hot nor sour ... in fact it didn't even have salt. The sweet and sour pork was overcooked and hard. The shrimp and chicken were mostly cooked properly if utterly unflavored. The squid was so hard you could not even cut Into it with a knife... i had to discard all pieces with squid or calamari. The vegetables have little to no flavor at all. Egg rolls were under cooked so the insides of the egg rolls were chilly and mushy. The sauces they send with the dim sum are non existent or so minuscule that one person may could dip two pieces (that's being generous). I think this last food order will be my last... i kept going back after some time thinking it would be better ... but after eating food from here seven times in past five years. The cost of eating out is just too dear these days to keep hoping for something better from a place that has a proven record of only becoming worse.
