I like this place more than PokiNometry in a few ways. First off, the bowl that is used. At PokiNometry it's in a higher bowl vs a wider bowl at monster. I find poki monster bowl is so much more easier to eat. Secondly, poki monster have more topping option and sauce :D The quality and size of the fishes are the same. Thirdly, this place feel cozy to me. Unlike Pokinometry, I actually want to dine in poki monster. Prices are the same. I like the service here also, I actually had a conversation with one of the worker. I would pick this over pokinometry any day. read more

The only reason this place is getting one star is because yelp doesn't allow you to put 0 stars. But oh man, the older Asian lady that works there has probably one of the worst attitudes I've ever encountered, and I've experienced it on at least 3 occasions. I get people have bad days and have personal stuff going on in their life but she always has a scowl on her face and is rude and likes to argue with the customers every single time i go here. This past time i went was the WORST customer service I've seen. I asked for spicy salmon as my protein and she said "we have none" and pointed to the empty pan, and i said "well i know you make it so could you please make some more" and she said "well it'll take lots of time" and i said I'm in no rush. She was very irritated and rolled her eyes and she was so upset that she made the spicy salmon WAY too spicy and inedible, all because i asked her to do her job, not to mention it took less than 2 minutes for her to make it, so i know the time excuse was bs, she's just lazy. My husband and I couldn't even finish our bowls cause it was too spicy to eat. Also I've read other reviews and I know I'm not the only one that has experienced her terrible attitude. read more

Disappointed. This place is overrated. I'm giving 2 stars because it was clean.... I was excited to accidentally find this place when I drove into this plaza to get a snack at 7-11. I walked in and the place was super empty and dead....which is probably why it was so damn clean. I looked up at their menu and set-up and realized it was identical to Pokinometry's format...that alone worried me because I wasn't a fan of that place. I gave it a shot anyway. I ordered regular [3 scoops] nachos....tuna, spicy tuna, and spicy salmon. I watched the dude do his magic with the sauces and mix it up. He mixed it with such flare...gave me hope that this was gonna taste great. Magic failed....there was zero flavor even with the avocado, sesame seeds, furikake, and ponzu sauce I added. My spicy items weren't even spicy...it was all very bland. Worst part? My chips were so stale. I should've known they'd be bad since they were just sitting out in a tray, but lil ol' me always gives the benefit of the doubt. I probably took about 5 bites before I just trashed it. Damn...9 bucks wasted and I'm still hungry. Who knows...maybe it was just a bad day, but come on...stale chips that probably just came from a bag they bought at Smart & Final?! No bueno. I'll stick with North Shore or Poke District...they're more authentic and actually have flavor. read more

I chose to eat at this location because I was craving Poke and Poki Monster was the closest location to where I live. When I watched the servers scoop little scoops of fish into the poke bowl, I was a little dismayed because I thought that the portions would be a little larger. At least from what I remember, Pokinometry servings were a bit larger...but that could be false memory. In any case, I did get a good amount of avocado which was no extra charge for the first serving (other places would charge for the avocado). I thought that based on serving size, I would still be starving after I ate... but low and behold, I'm satiated and my craving has been settled. Would i come back again? Yes another poke bowl review. It's my thang right now. Poki monster has your typical poke fanfare with the exception of extremely generous portions of avocado. While some places include it at no cost and others charge extra just for a small slice, poki monster adds a monster sized portion! They are conveniently located but parking isnt the greatest. I tried Poki monster for the first time today. Store was clean staff was friendly. I ordered my fully customizable bowl and they used the smallest scoopers for the fish I got like 5 super small pieces of fish for each scoop. The fish was fresh and the flavors were good but it just wasn't a good value. After eating it was all rice at the bottom fish was gone. Pokinometry in Anaheim is a much better value and is a less money. No wonder there wasn't anybody there. Don't think this place will last, what a shame cause it's close to me. read more
