    Avocado smoothie

It's our second time here in just a week. The food is so good and refreshing. Also the regular bowl is loaded and more than enough food. Today we tried the taro and avocado smoothie. They def take pride in the food and service too! The girls that work there are so sweet!

The portions here are huge!! At first I was surprised with the price for a regular, but they give so much. The fish tastes pretty fresh too. Overall I would come back again if I were in the area!

I've come in a few times for lunch and it's pretty good each time! There's a small parking lot in front and the restaurant itself is clean. The staff are also friendly. If you're in Brea and looking for a decent poke spot for lunch, come here! I think it's a decent price for what you get. (: (It's still not as good as my favorite poke place, but pretty decent!)

Half salad, half white rice. Great meal and not too heavy

We arrived at approximately 9:10pm and were told that they would close at 10:00. We ordered in under 5 minutes. Food came out promptly. We were ready to respectfully be out by 10:00pm. But instead the servers kept coming to clear plates and take our napkins. It was approximately 9:40 and 3/4 members of our party were done. The server came again started further removing dishes and even placed a dish on top of something that was still being eaten even while we told them that we were not done yet. We would've have been out by 9:50 if they let us finish eating in peace. Instead we paid a good amount of money to eat rushed and excessively interrupted just to get us out 5 minutes sooner. Bad service. We were out by 9:46 and walked out disappointed.

We waited almost 40 minutes for our food, which was frustrating enough. I ordered several pieces of salmon and yellowtail nigiri, and every single one had wasabi hidden underneath the fish. There was no indication on the menu, and our server never mentioned it. My mouth was on fire, but what upset me most was that my son also took a bite and had the same experience. Plenty of kids eat sushi, and customers should be told if wasabi is already included under the fish. When I brought it up, our server apologized and initially said it wasn't supposed to come that way. Then the owner said it was intentional. Another owner tried to tell me it was "traditional" and "common," even though it wasn't disclosed anywhere. Instead of acknowledging that customers should be informed, I felt like they were trying to convince me the problem was mine. They also brought us our roll 45 mins later that was mostly avocado with very little fish and missing cucumber which only added to the disappointment. To their credit, they did remove our bill, and I appreciate that. However, by that point the experience had already been soured by the lack of communication and the way our concerns were handled. A simple warning that the nigiri is served with wasabi under the fish would have prevented the entire situation.

Fifteen courses that are surprises because even tho there's a "template" of types of dishes, each one is ultimately the chef's choice. As each course was brought out, our waiter did an excellent job of describing what each item was and it's place of origin. Fifteen courses is alot to try to remember each specific dish so I decided to stay in the moment (after I snapped a pic) and enjoyed each one as we had them and talked about the flavor profiles and what we liked best about it. When my son had made the reservation he must have told them we were celebrating my birthday because in addition to the regular dessert course, our server brought me a birthday dessert which included green tea ice cream and a slice of matcha cheesecake. The full omakase experience was delicious and so fun! I told my son that it was like an advent calendar ~ each course we "opened" had us saying "ooo, how yummy" and left us with almost giddy anticipation of what we'd discover next. If you're looking for something fun and unique for a special occasion, I highly recommend the full omakase experience at Akashiro!

So we found this place and it was in the same vicinity and yay, they took reservations. Made reservations same day for a 18:30 seating. Service is impeccable. We were welcomed with hot towels, and this impressed me: when our server asked if we wanted cold or hot water. Love it! We opted for hot, better for digestion :) Our libation: Kubota sake - semi dry, rich, clean Our dishes: Assorted sashimi (16 pcs) - omakase. No soy sauce needed. Chef prepared with delicious flavors in mind. Tiger scallops - served in a what appears to resemble petrified wood, carved into a long boatlike dish. Hokkaido shrimp, cilantro oil, chilaquita (Peruvian onion relish), sweet potato crisp, smoke aji Amarillo (Peruvian yellow chili) Leche de tigre (rich emulsion of limes, Peruvian spices and chilis) - A complexity of flavors that comes together so completely. Eat with spoon. The delicate potato crisp finishes the bite with a little crunch. Udon picante - bell peppers, quinoa and 2 jumbo shrimp. Love the heat level. Comfort food at its best. Salmon parmesan - Nikkei sushi - seared salmon, parmesan bitter, eel sauce , arare, lime. Amazing. O toro sushi - the fattiest cut of tuna. Eat as is. Again chef prepared. No added seasoning required. Parri maki - fried shrimp, cream cheese, seared tuna topped with chimichurri, aji amarillo, chalaquita, ponzu. Food experience was enhanced by their impeccable taste in music. Super chill, soft beats stream the restaurant. With its perfect lighting too sets all the good moods for us. Don't wait for this fine dining experience of Japanese and Peruvian fusion. Note: when they ask if you want soy sauce, say No, thank you. It would be a shame to kill the taste of a beautiful dish with any added sauce. Kampai! Salud!

I noticed that they had good reviews on Yelp and they were nearby so why not? We walked in close to the end of their lunchtime. They have some parking right at the front but I know that plaza can get very busy specially for breakfast time so not a problem for sushi. They have a few offers on the signs outside for lunch menu and a different Omakase. My boyfriend really wanted to try the luxury Omakase since it included a lot of courses and we were hungry. The staff were really friendly and we got sat on the bar. They have some table tables and then they have the large bar area. They have a very modern clean feel and it is family friendly. They do offer some alcohol. I noticed the refrigerator with look like sake and other alcohol. We decided to order draft beer and the luxury omakase. We were warned that they were a lot of dishes, but we were up for a challenge. I will say that the pricetag of $105 is definitely worth it. This is now my number one sushi spot in the area no doubt about it. Every single piece was delicious. The chef will prepare the piece and put them on the top of the bar for us to grab. My absolute favourite one was the sear black cod it would melt on your mouth. We will definitely be back for the omakase and we are also curious of trying the regular menu. They mentioned that what was included in their omakase would change day by day so every time would be a different experience. I would highly recommend this sushi restaurant.

Although it seems like they rush you a bit, they are always careful to ask if you're done. As omakases are known to clean up quickly to present the next dish/plate, I thought it was actually great that they were courteous while being efficient. The chefs were also very attentive, as they kept looking over if we were finished and ready for the next item in their lineup. I finish my sushi pieces a bit quicker than my partner, so the chef matched that by placing my pieces first and hers second, which I thought was a nice touch. As for the food, it was everything an omakase needs: flavor, consistency, and freshness. Each piece had its own story and it was expressed the only way each respective fish could be expressed. I always go in thinking I'm going to stay hungry by the end, but I am always proven wrong. For the price, I think this experience was well worth it. Everything was just clean: ambience, presentation, and taste. I would definitely do it again. It's within a small plaza, so there should be plenty of parking. A++!

First, the BOGO deal is awesome. There are happy hour deals, but we rarely get there in time to take advantage. It's just a bit of a drive for us to get there early enough. Second, the Chefs!!! Go to any sushi joint you want... you've got ONE chef slinging fish, totally backed up, trying his best to keep pace, and all the while losing attention to detail and presentation. CRnS always has 3 sometimes 4 Chef's behind the line. The result is faster service.... Of course.... But presentations that are almost too pretty to eat... but, it's sushi, so we eat them anyway. And third, the servers.... They are pretty consistent....There are not new servers every other week like some lesser joints. You get familiar with them and they get familiar you. Which leads me to James! James is awesome, polite, helpful, attentive, and just does a great job. I could never do it.... I'd be like "Bruh, I was just here 2 minutes ago, why didn't you ask more Wasabi and Ginger then?" Not James, always glad to bring us more Wasabi and Ginger....
