This has become my go-to place for poke in Fremont (along with Sunfish Poke). There's usually no line when I go. The staff member is helpful and efficient, and makes suggestions when you're deciding which proteins to get. In addition to the standard proteins (salmon, tuna, spicy tuna, etc.), they have octopus, hamachi, albacore I think, among others. They also have wild black rice as a base option, which I haven't seen at other poke places. Seaweed and crab salad are included at no additional cost. I'm extremely disappointed with the service here. Every time I come in, the prices somehow keep going up while we receive less food each visit. The first time, I paid around $40 for two bowls. The second time, it jumped to about $60, and the third time it was nearly $70 even though we got even less than before. None of it makes sense, and I have receipts and bank statements to prove the inconsistent pricing. What's even more frustrating is the complete lack of communication and customer service. Nobody wants to explain the charges, listen to concerns, or even have a respectful conversation about it. Instead, each visit feels more uncomfortable because the staff become increasingly rude and dismissive. Customers deserve consistency, transparency, and respect. Came here with my friend for lunch this afternoon. While it was really clean, the vibe felt off? Like it was really clinical. I noticed that it was also pretty empty when other restaurants in the same plaza were busy. I ordered the medium poke bowl for $16. Honestly what a rip-off. The employee wasn't friendly at all and she skimped out on the fish and all the other toppings. I counted like 6 pieces of fish, which were really tough. Everything also tasted bland and there was very little variety and flavors of toppings and sauces. Plus the employee who assisted my friend and I was such a stickler about choosing the toppings in the correct order! The bowl was like 50% full where other poke places fill it up to the top for the same price. Never again - unfriendly service, poor ingredients, terrible portion size, and an overall awful value for the money, especially in this economy! Happened to be in the area today and noticed a poke spot that I haven't tried. The inside is clean, plenty of seating, and had cute decor. The great part is that it wasn't too busy, but at the same time I'm wondering why? The lady working didn't come off as friendly at all, and I felt pretty awkward choosing my food items. The poke is tasty, the add ins are fresh, but the bowl is smaller than some places and she was pretty stingy with the raw fish proteins. I came here for raw fish, not rice and salad! The reason why this got 3/5 stars was due to service. I came here two times within the month, both around lunch time and I had the same older lady. First time, I came when they opened and second time it was around 1pm. There was no one else the first time around, yet somehow I felt so rushed to get through the line. The portions were also so small. The second time, there was only 1 person behind me. I ordered 2 bowls and no time was given to tell her what is going in which bowl. She was also looking behind me the entire time and not really paying attention to what I was trying to say. I again felt rushed like I needed to get out of there FAST. I love this poke spot solely because i grew up around this place. Probably the pole spot i haven't gotten stomach flu from. They're always overflowing my bowls. I believe this is a family establishment but both the older woman and younger gentleman working are always so nice. I used to go to Poki Run in Milpitas, and it was my favorite spot for years. After moving to Fremont, I decided to give the Fremont location a try, even though the reviews weren't great. The first time, I noticed the difference -- even with the same ingredients, the flavor was off. I thought maybe it was just a bad day, so I gave it another chance. Unfortunately, it was a huge disappointment. The bowl had no flavor, missing ingredients, and even extra items I didn't order. Worst of all, instead of the ahi tuna portion I ordered, they gave me tofu -- which I really don't like. As the name suggests, I'd say run from Poki Run Fremont. Hands down the best Poki I've ever had! Okay, so I'm not a Poki enthusiast but I know what good food tastes like and if something is fresh or not. Poki Run's bowls are made with extremely fresh ingredients with zero smells or the old fishiness flavor. I ordered a large bowl with half rice, half mixed greens, crab, hamachi and tuna. You get 5 scoops with the large bowl. For sauce, I had the spicy mayo. I ordered over the phone and the gentleman helping me was extremely helpful and patient with me. When I arrived, the bowls were bagged and ready for me. The service is really good and they are friendly. The restaurant is very clean, well lit and welcoming. I love the simplicity of the overall white theme, easy to read menu and ordering. For two large bowls with avocado, the total was about $46. Although that's a bit pricey, what isn't these days? I think Poki Run Fremont should be rated higher than 3 stars. My constructive criticism would be to make the portions slightly larger without increasing the costs. It seems to be the main issue most people are having. Nobody likes to eat out and still be hungry when their meal is done. I will definitely be back in the future when I'm craving Poki. read more

This is our go to poke place. It's convenient for us, the owner is very nice and we've always received great service. Usually for us, the portion size has always been the right amount for us. We went yesterday and the portions were smaller than usual, but I don't know if that's because we went late and they were running out. I love that they always ask if we want utensils and napkins too because I don't like when it's so wasteful. It's perfect because we are able to just say no since we have everything at home. And if you love protein, I'd suggest you to go with Large because the portion could be small (compared to chipotle). Has great selection of topping that you can choose from and sauce was great. Personally I am not big fan of large amount of sauces so the amount I got was perfect. Service was very quick and friendly. .5 star away because I could not find the trash bin inside the restaurant and instead I used the trash bin is outside of the restaurant. I love Poki Run! The fish here is always fresh and somehow tastes so much better than other poki places. They have a variety of different proteins including snapper, hamachi, spicy salmon and tuna. Service is always quick and friendly. I ordered the roll combo that comes with three scoops of poki and California roll made to order. Prices are fair - regular bowl is $16 and the combo with the Cali roll is $20. Makes me sad that those who gave poki run a poor review because of small portions for the price don't understand that these are different times and supply chain prices are up everywhere. I got to the register and i was shocked that the tiny bowl came to about $20. I would never in my life pay $20 for a poki bowl. Especially as small as that. Nice little spot in central Fremont at The Gateway Plaza that has been here for a few years. They have great Poki bowls with fresh proteins which is the primary reason I like them. They are located in the busy plaza in downtown Fremont, at the north corner of Paseo Padre Pkwy. & Mowry Ave; near Walgreens, Chipotle & Peet's Coffee. Parking is plentiful here, but it can get busy during the lunch hour. This Poki place is pretty similar to other locations in their style & food item selections. The interior is pretty small, so they're not designed to have too many people to dine-in, but they are perfect to take your Poki bowl to-go. They are a little more expensive for their smallest bowl, which was $13.06 out the door; but it does come with a 3rd protein item and avocado is a free side item. Their portions are decent and they are delicious. I will definitely return here for my lunch breaks, but just occasionally; whereas $13+ for their smallest Poki bowl is pretty pricey. read more

Bad customer service and super stingy with their portions, as previous reviews have mentioned. They use small plastic spoons for the toppings instead of the normal scoops that other poke places use, and will charge you if you ask for extra anything. Paid $17 for a large bowl that wasn't even filled up all the way and I was still hungry after (for reference I am a 5 ft girl with not that big of an appetite). I can honestly say that I get a bigger bowl with more food when paying for a regular at other poke places. More like a 3.5 rating, but rounded up. Came here for the first time for lunch. I'm actually still eating it right now! I read some of the reviews and was prepared for small portions, but I was optimistic as a few said portions were generous. First impression is this place is very clean and the menu is well designed. This older woman helped me and she was very nice but also very careful in the amount of protein she gave me. She gave me one scoop per protein and each of these scoops, the protein did not go over the top of the line. At other places, I'm given a scoop and a half or one generous scoop. I didn't think this was a big deal though as avocado and imitation crab is free. They're also a little stingy in toppings as well. Also I got the cauliflower shrimp which is pretty tasty but you do get less shrimp with this option. One thing I think this place rocks at is apple strips as a topping. It's so yummy refreshing and sweet! The only negative is that they're not generous BUT they make up for it in price and toppings. I'd come back. read more

Very underwhelming poki spot in my opinion -- I only find myself coming back here from time to time because it is the closest poki restaurant to me whenever I'm craving it. They do NOT fill up your bowl like most poki spots do and their toppings aren't a "WOW" factor for me. I feel like they never fill my order up with the goods. If you take a look at the picture I attached to this review, you'll see there is a lot of space. Guys, their bowls are not cheap and you're paying good money to enjoy their food as much as you can. The owners need to be less stingy with their items if they want total customer satisfaction. Going off that note, customer service is whack! One of the ladies working got annoyed/upset at my boyfriend for not following the line of ingredients... like whaaa? They also don't take phone orders. Tough call between 3 and 4 stars. I finally tried Poki Run after all these years of it being open! A nice senior citizen lady helped me, which seemed a bit in contrast to the glowing 'I like it RAW" neon sign they have lol but hey I'm not ageist. Today they had shrimp, salmon, tuna , Hamachi, and notably. Cauliflower plant bases shrimp. Cool for the veggie friends. I had a problem with how fast and rushed the employee lady was going down the line of food. I was the only customer! There were 2 order errors to correct in her rush. Also the poke bowl was bagged up with plastic lid, plastic bag, plastic utensils and napkisn as I said I'll eat there? Ok... Fish was fresh and good. Let me just describe a bite from my regular sized poke bowl~ perfect blend of crunch, softness from the crab meat, chewiness from my ahi tuna, hamachi and salmon, mixed in with house sauce and seasame oil with a dressing of spicy mayo. Great poke bowl! Lots of different options, from the types of rice, fish, sides, and sauce! I got a regular bowl (almost $12 including tax) which comes with 3 scoops of fish. I got it with mixed grain rice and salad, 2 scoops salmon 1 scoop yellowtail, and everything. Avocado is part of the free options, yes! The worker did a really nice job adding a generous portion of each side item and still managing to make the bowl pretty and presentable, which was impressive. I asked for sauce on the side: spicy mayo and mango. The spicy mayo is the best, and the mango hardly tastes like it.
