I remember coming back here over 7 years ago and not loving it, but decided to come back again and it's honestly pretty good! My favorite was the tuna tower which was a delicious combination of fish, rice, sauce, and the avocado was the cherry on top! Yay trying a new sushi restaurant in the area because we can't just go to Mioki all the time right? lol Got to try the local spots when we can. O' Sushi has been here for years. The oldest review here is 2014. Why I haven't tried it growing up in the area? I don't know. The restaurant is in the same plaza as Safeway and its close to MandRo Teahouse. It's a busy plaza but they have plenty of parking. It is also conveniently located by a freeway. We walk in and are immediately greeted by staff. I was having a bad day when I went but that changed quick. The staff is so friendly. They let me have my drink from outside (because I came here right after Truewin) and I appreciate it. We ordered the oyakodon and sushi bento. I got used to seeing oyakodon as chicken and egg over rice that this confused me a bit but I knew the name translates to "Mother and child" so it made sense. I honestly liked it. Great amount of food for me who wasn't insanely hungry after boba and a souffle cake (I know, dessert before dinner how dare I). The sushi bento was also good. Great amount of food for the price. Overall I liked this place. I think it stood out more because the staff are so kind. I've been a patron of O'Sushi for years, and I'm thrilled to report that their food quality has not wavered at all over the last decade that I've been going. The sushi rolls are fresh, delicious, and innovative, and the servers are extremely attentive. Sushi rolls are on par for the area in terms of price; $16 for more specialty rolls, $8-9 for classics (California, Philly, etc.). I love that they still have hand sanitizer pumps at each table (a pandemic practice that I wish they still instituted in restaurants across the Bay Area), and I observed the staff's dedication to cleanliness when they wiped down each table using an antibacterial solution. O' Sushi is located right off the freeway on the street view of a semi-busy plaza. Parking is hit or miss here because it gets pretty busy here on weeknights and weekends (especially with MandRo next door), but if you park further away in the main area of the plaza, then there is plenty of parking on that side. Service is so poor here, as they do not acknowledge / welcome you at all - you could be standing by the front for a good 5 minutes and all the employees will just breeze past you like you are not there. My last few visits here, I ordered to go and I would call ahead of time, as they take pretty long here (they always say 10 - 15 minutes, but it is always 25+ minutes, even when they are not busy). I usually order their Kani Nigiri, Sake Maki, and Salmon Nigiri. Their sushi is usually decently fresh, but lately, their salmon has not been that fresh and I would get a stomachache after. Their Kani Nigiri has changed, it is not the crab mix anymore, but it is the crab sticks, which I do not prefer, as it tasted a bit sour. read more

The server brought out a bowl of salad and miso soup that came with the order. About ten minutes later, the donburi came out and it looked great. There was a good amount of salmon sashimi which tasted fresh and went well with the white sushi rice underneath the fish. There's a lot of rice with the donburi so it can be a quite filling but I was able to finish a majority of it. At the end, the server offered complimentary green tea ice cream and I declined since I was too full to eat anymore. Overall, it was a nice experience. The restaurant itself had a decent amount of seats. Parking outside can be tricky in the evening as there are other shops in the plaza. The California roll was a little dry. The salad dressing and salad were decent. The rice was fine. The lion king role was OK too.
