this place is tucked away in the little corner of the plaza. I'm glad I was in the area and got to try this place out. if you love spicy food, their extra spicy sauce IS SO SO SO GOOD. I got the large poki bowl which comes with 5 scoops of protein over your base. I went with with the veggie base, spicy tuna, spicy salmon, salmon, and double tuna. I was pleasantly surprised with the freshness of the fish, and the flavor of their spicy sauce. The thing I think could be better is when I walked in I only saw water on the left hand side. When I paid they didn't offer me a drink, and i also didn't see any drink selections on the front menu. So I assumed they only had water. They DO, have a drink fridge all the way in the back corner. After I paid and sat I realized there WAS actually drinks but there was several people in line so I decided to just stick with the water. I've spent countless summers in Hawaii and have had my fair share of bomb poke spots.. Poki Run definitely hits the spot! Fresh fish, love their tuna and salmon here. All their ingredients taste fresh and they are generous with their portions. Plus, their avocado and seaweed salad is free! Poki Run is my new favorite go-to poke spot! They have the freshest fish and I love that you can order sushi rolls with your poke. The cute and neat packaging is a plus as well. Although the portions look small, it's actually really filling especially if you have the side rolls. I usually can never finish a poke bowl by myself at other poke places, but this poke + sushi is the perfect portion for me and everything tastes so fresh. My usual order is the salad with spicy crab, ahi tuna, and salmon and a spicy tuna roll. And I love all of their toppings and how you don't have to pay extra for avocado or crab. I am from downtown sj and decided to try Poki Run after I was at the doctor. I don't know if it's because I had to fast for my appointment, but this was the best poki i've ever had!!! it was EXTREMELY FRESH!!! after not eating for 16 hours, I wanted to cry tears of joy while I had my poke. I got the Combo A- 3 scoops of protein and choice of either avocado roll or california roll or inari. I started off my bowl with half sushi rice and half salad. I added one scoop each of spicy tuna, regular tuna, and salmon. Next, I got the house sauce and sesame oil. Then, he added edamame and green onion before putting the final touch of masago, furikake, sesame seeds, and spicy mayo. I am pretty sure that's everything I added. It was spectacular. I usually order the same thing at every poke place, so I definitely notice the amazing quality at Poki Run. I will note the scoops are small, but the regular bowl is only about $13 for 3 scoops. I opted to add the avocado roll to my combo and was more than satisfied. I could only finish a little over half my food before j was full. i'll save the rest for later. I will be back!!!! read more

I've been wanting to try this place for the past few weeks and I finally got time to visit them this weekend! We came in around 3:30pm on a Saturday and it was empty. There were two male employees who greeted us right when we walked through the door and I made my way to the counter to place my order. I decided to try their Roll Combo which came with 3 scoops of fish and an option of avocado roll or california roll for $13.50. with tax-- $14.68. For my Roll Combo I got.. Sushi rice base 1 scoop salmon 1 scoop hamachi 1 scoop spicy tuna (not much flavor..) Extra spicy sauce (mixed with the salmon + hamachi) Sliced cucumbers/white onions 1 scoop avocado (didn't have a creamy taste/consistency) Seaweed salad (had a nice fresh bite!) Crab meat (slightly bland) Masago/Green onions/Sesame seeds Topped off with spicy mayo sauce + Avocado Roll ..the combo is served in a meal prep container. Even though their scoopers are pretty small (just like all the other Poké spots) they over scoop each portion so it's like getting a double scoop! There were a good variety of different proteins to pick from as well; salmon, ahi tuna, spicy tuna, spicy crab, hamachi, albacore, tai or shrimp. All the toppings I added were free, which was awesome. Everything tasted fresh and I liked how their extra spicy sauce was actually spicy! Their seaweed salad had a great flavor too. The only downfall was the sushi rice base and the rice for my avocado roll. Both had hard bits which means that the rice was definitely undercooked. BOO. FOOD Good! Thank goodness they do combo meals with a roll (either cucumber, California, or avocado roll) and 3 scoops of protein because for whatever reason I don't like raw fish. Something about the texture. So I was able to get the combo and eat the roll and veggies and let the boyfriend eat the 3 scoops of raw fish. It's not a huge bowl when you get the combo deal, but I like it because it has the roll and it was yummy. Not a perfect roll like you'd expect to see at a sushi restaurant where each piece is perfect, but still good. I like how they have select choices and not an overwhelming amount of options because that can make your head spin and takes people longer to decide. Brown rice option for your base too for those who prefer brown rice. Taste of everything was good to me. Nothing was too strong of a taste. Take a look at menu photos people posted if you want an idea of what options they have. I liked that they had apple slices and avocado, real avocados and not fake processed guacamole. Drinks are self serve in fridges off to the side. They have the marble soda drinks here! And carbonated milk drinks haha. That's something I haven't tried yet. Nice they have the payment system electronic so when you pay with credit card they turn be screen around for you to sign on the touchpad. The regular bowl seemed small at first but it turned out to be just right for this small fry. I wish I had some soy sauce handy while eating in my car! Oh boy my bowl was creamyyy. It might have been the crab meat, or because I chose both the house sauce and spicy mayo, which was not spicy AT ALL. I forgot it was even added. The rice didn't have that sticky-ish Japanese rice texture. Not a complaint, just an observation! No complaints on my 3 scoops of raw fish either. This wasn't a "bomb first bite" kind of impression but it still made for a great lunch break. I prefer sushi rolls to poke bowls (hehe I rhymed) but this hit the spot for any cravings. I would come back, especially since it's conveniently located right by my dentist (how did I miss that??) and parking is a piece of cake. A mini bonus for no avocado fee. Or driving is fine, since there are plenty of parking spaces shared with the big home improvement Orchard store. Ordering is simple, not too stressful. $10.95 for 3 scoops of various fishes along with other customs fillings. Ingredients taste fresh to me; all the flavors blend together very well. My only complaint is in the difficulty to mix all the the parts thoroughly with a fully packed bowl. Solution is to take it to-go then transfer into a larger bowl for mixing and eating. I would give this place more than 5 starts if I could! This is quite the place for good Poké! I love that the Poké is flavorful and made for you on the spot. Start with your favorite rice base and fish protein and add toppings- all the toppings are free for the first scoop, including avocado and crab (non spicy). The house sauce is great and I also enjoy the tangy taste of the mango mayo. Portion sizes are quite small. It's enough to be filling, but not enough to be full. For the flavor trade off, it's worth it! The interior reminds me of my favorite coffee shop and everything is so cute. This place is perfect for a casual dinner with friends or a casual dinner date. New place hidden by Orchard supply store, they're doing construction at the moment so it's covered by scaffolds and black tarp. Still open though! Came on a Monday, pretty slow, but good service. Seems to be owned by a friendly Korean family. Ambience was very quiet, I don't remember if there was music playing or not Bowls are slightly pricier than the typical ~9.50 for a regular, theirs is ~10.50. BUT! There's no charge for avocado or seaweed salad, only if you want extra of it. Portion is on the smaller side but still filling. Their fish was good but again, tiny scoops. Only got about 3 cubes of the Tai fish I tried. I like that they have that as an option, better than the Hamachi other places have. Got the very spicy sauce and it was indeed HOT. I had to chug a lot of water but it was the good kind of spicy, so maybe get the medium spice if your tolerance isn't high. Also added crab mix, sesame seeds, green and white onions. It would help if they had labels on the toppings, I couldn't tell if one thing was apple slivers or some sort of daikon. Also, the lids are pretty tall so your food isn't getting squished when you take it to go. The cashier was kind enough to wrap our bowls in a bag for us and put utensils and napkins inside even though it was self serve They have the largest seating space of all the poké places I've been to, maybe 4-6? tables and a small high bar area. With that, I think they should put a TV somewhere cause otherwise it's very quiet since it's not too busy yet. Would come here again! My absolute favorite poke restaurant in the South Bay! I've been visiting Poki Run for the past few years and it is my poke place of choice due their top-notch ingredient selection, the free avocado, their Spotify playlist (it's called pokirun, in case you were wondering). Their regular bowl comes with 3 scoops of protein and a choice of rice (sushi, Korean black, or brown rice) or mixed green base. I normally get a mix of Korean black rice and mixed greens for the base, and a scoop each of tuna, izumitai, and yellowtail. As I stated before, one of the best things about this place is that they offer avocado as a topping FOR FREE. Sometimes I splurge and spend a bit extra on the tamago topping too. The fish never tastes frozen, and even when ordering takeout the bowls are always sealed tightly so the food is fresh when it's time to eat. Portion is VERY VERY and VERY small. If I rate this restaurant due to food portion, it is 2 stars. Never get full if I order regular size. I have to get large size and it is still smaller than a regular size of other "Poke" restaurants nearby. Despite the portion, I do like the flavor, I like their black rice, and apple is a good contrast taste. Very yummy. Every time, the server is very careful in making sure that only small portion of each ingredient is put in the bowl. If it is a little more than, they take it out. That annoys me a lot. I would NOT come back on a regular basis because of the price and the portion. I usually go to other Poke restaurants. I only come back here when I really want to get something different. read more

Probably one of the best poke place in Milpitas and San Jose. I frequent here at least once a week. The price is def good for what you get. The regular is 3 scoops for under $15.
