I just started working in the Sylmar area a couple weeks ago and was looking for a new lunch place to try, loving Poké and Mexican food this seemed like the right spot. I was right! The place was clean and bright lots of light as you walk in which is great and they have this super cute neon sign in the seating area. I immediately noticed the very high glass and sneeze guard which being a short person made it hard to see on top of the intense glare but I understand it is there for protection. I ordered the burrito with all salmon protein in a soy paper wrap. It was plentiful and delicious. The options were vast for protein, mix-ins and sauces which actually made me feel a little overwhelmed wondering if I had mixed the right flavors together but the quality of the salmon made it absolutely work. I loved the mango with the salmon together and the cilantro jalapeño sauce. I got the blueberry lemonade and was informed I had free refills which was nice! Overall would def comeback if I'm craving some Poké in the future. read more

They also didn't have to bring us water or check in (since it's not really a sit down and be served type of place), but they did which was so sweet. I was super excited for a poke place in San Fernando since that would be the closest one to my house. I figure it would be busy for opening day but it was pretty empty when I went that night. Servers seemed friendly but the double glass barrier between us made it very difficult for them to hear me talk and I felt like I was screaming even though the place was practically empty. I've been to over a dozen poke places and none had had double barriers like this or so high. Didn't seem to have that many options and were very limited on how many toppings you can have and some toppings were considered "sides" and they charged extra for masago after I already got my side of crabmeat and two toppings of edamame and cucumber. I understand charging extra when someone goes crazy on toppings but I only had a couple selections so I don't think that was reasonable. I stuck with my usual tuna, spicy mayo, and eel sauce. I always get extra as well poured on the top and that spicy mayo was SPICY. It was a little heavy handed in my opinion but still edible. Overall I wasn't too impressed with my food and it was fine but nothing to rave about and I'd rather drive further to get better poke. read more

This was my family's go to place for sushi great prices and fresh delicious sushi. For the last few months it kind of fell off. Something is off with the rice used to make the sushi. It seems to always be to dry now. Like it's over cooked or something or maybe too old. I'm not sure since I've never made sushi myself . First time eating poke here and it was amazing! It is spacious and inviting. The only thing I would personally recommend is signage like "order here" and "pick up here." I was really excited to try this place out. The pictures on the internet made me jump in the car and drive to this location. As soon as I opened the door I smelled a sewer drain. That should of been my clue to walk out and leave. But I really wanted it to give it a try. We ended up ordering the sushi burrito. It took them a very very long time to finish our order. So we decided to take it home because the smell of that place was really really bad. All I can say is as soon as I got home I immediately regretted not walking out. The rice was way over cooked. Amazing poke bowl and such a nice addition to Sylmar! So excited to have this place close to where I live. What really makes it stand out from other places was the very friendly staff, cleanliness, and aguachile sauce. Now I know the place is new, but I have a feeling it is also well maintained and will continue to look as neat and tidy as it currently does in years to come. The decor is super cute--beautiful tile work, upholstery, and neon signage. Salmon poke was fresh and perfectly salmon colored (no hints of grey like I've seen at other places). The add-ins, sauces, sides, and toppings were all fresh and delicious too. No matter where I go I pretty much order my poke bowl the same way, however their aguachile sauce caught my eye so I got a small container of it on the side to try. Wow was it good! I loved dipping my leftover sushi rice in it as I got to the bottom of my bowl. A couple suggestions for management to consider... -blinds/shades especially for the windows that are directly in front of food counter...I went around lunch time and the sun was so strong I could hardly see what was in the food case and even though the food is refrigerated I don't love the idea of the sun beating down on the food -the music situation was kind of strange, it sounded like there were three songs playing at once, couldn't tell if the kitchen was bumping their own stuff or what was going on but yeah...needs a better playlist -ginger appears on the menu as both an add-in and a side, which is kind of confusing since add-ins are unlimited but sides were not, hoping they keep it as an add-in and take it off as a side option read more

I will start straight off the bat why I gave them 2 stars only. First, we placed our order 45 minutes prior to us picking up, hence they told us that food would be ready in 30 minutes. I ordered 10 bowls and when I arrive they only had 4 bowls. We asked for the rest of the bowls and one of the employees told us their printer wasn't working all day, well a genius decided to check if there was paper and sure enough, it was missing printing paper. The girl that attended us upon arrival was rude, inattentive and not professional. We asked her questions and she would walk away while answering making it difficult to understand her and it showed she just didn't care. After talking with the manager he prepared our missing bowls immediately, but still made our waiting time inside the restaurant to 25 minutes. He tried to make it up to us by giving us free drinks, but I could care less about the free drinks. I rather hear him say "I will talk to the team and ensure this doesn't happen again." I don't know if I will give this restaurant a second try, but definitely won't be going back in the near future. They check your temperature upon arrival and you will have to sign your name on a paper to be attended. The place is clean and the food is really fresh. My boyfriend and I have a questionable habit of stopping to get poke for dinner on road trips and always use Yelp as our guide to find trusted poke. There's enough for another meal. The staff was friendly and working hard on Easter night so shoutout to them. I couldn't believe there was a Poke place in SF. I was pleasantly surprised to say the very least. Now that there is no gym in the plaza, parking is a breeze. I was so happy to see all the preventative steps they are taking to prevent covid spreading. They have hand sanitizer at the entrance, they have a sign in sheet in case a concern comes up and they distance people. The staff is friendly and though its Poke this is a little bit different from a regular Poke location. Some of the flavors are different and not all the things are offered. I chose my toppings and I was lucky enough to see a weekend special they had of buy any bow and get a small drink and roll for $5 more. I got tons of food for less than $23. Flavors were good but wished they had octopus as one of the proteins. I really hope they consider placing it on their menu. I would definitely come more often as I frequently crave the Octopus flavor and texture it has. Also, I would suggest they have flavor combination suggestions for the sauces placed on the food. I was super stoked to try this poke spot out because I've been following them on IG for quite some time and all the photos they post look amazing (and I was especially eyeing their cucumber wrapped roll). Well, I'm disappointed to admit that, this place did NOT blow my taste buds out of the water. I got a medium sized bowl with 2 scoops of salmon and 1 scoop of scallops. Then I added edamame, cucumber (that tasted weirdly bitter and sour), seaweed salad and ginger. I didn't add avocado (I wish I did) because I also ordered the cucumber wrapped roll, which includes avocado, but without the crab meat. Well... I guess the chef in the back only "knows" how to make a cucumber wrapped roll with some "sticky fish in the middle because he used the spicy tuna mix as opposed to the regular tuna (that's listed on the menu). This bummed me out because 1. I hate spicy and 2. I can't eat spicy tuna mix because of food intolerances.... So... I had to pick out the pieces of salmon (and the TINY pieces of avocado) and my husband ate the spicy tuna. My poke bowl was okay but as I said, the cucumber kinda ruined it... And well, it definitely needed avocado. My husband however really actually liked his food, and for him to like something out of his norm, is saying something!! He got spicy tuna and spicy salmon in a poke bowl but also ordered the spicy tuna crunch roll without the crispy onions, cucumber and scallop. He licked his plates clean and was a happy camper (this is why I rated this spot 3 stars as opposed to 2). I can admit that I'm glad I curved my curiosity about this place, because I always wondered. This place was awesome! The staff was so friendly and they got a big menu with all kinds of things. I got the medium poke bowl with avocado and sushi rice. They have many MANY proteins to choose from and you can get all the mix ins you want! You could tell the food was super fresh and the fish was not fishy at all. Lastly their sauces are TOP-NOTCH. I recommend the aguachile sauce mixed with their garlic ponzu. Plus their slushees are so bomb, I got the pina colada one and that was so good especially on a hot day. Love this place! The first time i went, Jenny helped us and she was super helpful and understanding when explaining things to me since i was new to poke before. A new young man helped me just yesterday and he was very nice as well which makes me love this place even more! My friend Cana and I came here to try their poke. It seems to be a family-owned business. The workers were very friendly and they had good portions. The sashimi was fresh. They have Hispanic fusion in their poke, which is really creative. The atmosphere and decor of the place was also really refreshing. They're fairly new and located in a small lot.
