Check engine light came on and they gladly took it in to their shop and replaced the mass air flow sensor, only to have the light come on again before I left. Their lead mechanic let me go with him to drive it with their computer hooked up to the truck and was very helpful, kind, and knowledgeable. At that point, he recommended a new fuel pump, which they ordered that day. They installed the new fuel Pump and also found one of the spark plug wires was bad and grounding out as well. They replaced ALL of my plug wires as a courtesy! Not gonna lie, I was Leary about purchasing a vehicle here at first, but we are thoroughly pleased with the OUTSTANDING CUSTOMER SERVICE from their service center!!! I was in and out in about an hour and a half and it was pretty painless honestly. The service center told us they were upset we didn't have an appointment. The vehicle stayed with them for nearly 90 days. When we asked for updates, we were told to stop asking and to let them do their job. After receiving our vehicle back, we had issue after issue after issue. We eventually took the vehicle to Jim Fischer where they confirmed the computer was faulty. They replaced our computer within two weeks of the warranty expiring. Herzog should have never sold us the car in that condition to begin with, and they should have resolved it when it was returned back to their service center rather than treating us like a nuisance.

He called the next day and notified me the oil pressure sensor was bad and they replaced the part. inquired about a loan for the vehicle and they wouldn't due to price of the vehicle. Ultimately, I didn't feel very important, despite wanting to take a slow selling, expensive truck off their hands at the end of the month. I was denied talking with anyone... and that the gal out front who said she was the owners wife was the one who gave quotes, even though I saw no ASE Mechanic Certifications for her. So... I jump through their hoops anyway and started filing out their form. They wanted a phone number to text, but I don't have one for that, but she was fine with an email address to do the same, and said it would work. She said they would contact me for diagnosis (or something?) but she was already annoyed. She refused to let me finish filing out ALL the info on their form, snapped up her clip board from me, walked to the back, and that was that, never saw her again, and I've NEVER received an email quote either. Apparently business is so good they can treat customers poorly and throw money away. That's - THAT.

The noise over the years got progressively worse and with the car being under warranty I would routinely take the car over to Wilsonville Mercedes and my experience there was not awesome. Over three years I had the truck in the shop for months trying to fix or even claim to replicate the issue. Eventually the warranty runs out and the noise keeps getting worse. Well, at that point I start throwing parts at it. Changed the upper CA's, the right wheel bearing/hub, all the inner/outer tie rods, the air struts and despite everything I had done I could not resolve the issue. I made an appointment with Star Motors and took the truck in for a diagnosis. Spent a good amount of time going over what I'd done and what was happening. I dropped the truck off hoping for the best but recognizing that this was not fixed by many people. Welp, three hours later I get the call that they think they figured it out and fixed it. I biked over to get the truck and sure enough, it's fixed!!! My truck drives like a brand new truck again!! No clunks, no noises and with all the stuff I swapped it's like better than when I got it. I found my people. No reason to take a Mercedes anywhere else. I'm one happy human.
