First thing the next morning, Cindy called me personally to discuss the discrepancy and approved me on the spot for a CC with a $10,000 limit, based on my credit score. For more than a decade, I had two business corporate accounts one in Portland and the other in Vancouver. When the Portland business closed, I decided to make our joint personal checking account a Unitus account. Then in order to increase our options, ,my wife and I opened a Home Equity Line of Credit on our fully paid up house. The processes for everything was easy and without any hassles. While most financial institutions claim that you are a person, they treat you as a number with little regard for who you are or what you want or need. Unitus, in my experience, is just the opposite. I can call any time and resolve a problem or find an answer within minutes. They will even call back without keeping me on hold. Their promises are kept. Their staff is a pleasure to work with for all things. My business partners, my wife and I highly recommend this for almost all financial needs.

My response was that the account manager literally took an imprint of my drivers license before doing the data entry work for the account when I opened my account via video call. Didn't matter. I still needed to come in to fill out the paperwork in order to clean up someone else's mess. I immediately closed the account. What a waste of time and energy.

However, she (naturally) isn't able to handle my account at all, so my review is strictly of the application process with Austin. I haven't used online banking at all yet so I can't really review it. This branch, the HQ, is a bit hard to reach because of a lot of annoying construction blocking off the main access, but you can't really fault CCCU for that happening in their area (and there are a couple other locations, including another one like a mile away on Sandy). The cozy little lobby has a coffee machine and hot water for tea if you're in the mood, and the people are warm and welcoming. The application process was quick and painless, and I got a member welcome packet a couple days later that had some helpful stuff like a voided check to change my direct deposit. One complaint though: the welcome packet was so huge it wouldn't fit in my mailbox so the mailman ended up just dropping it on my doorstep. Given that it did contain the voided check that could've violated the security of my account. All in all, seems good so far. EDIT: I said I might edit this review once I'd tried online banking. I did so and it seems good: has all the normal stuff like bill pay and should suit my needs perfectly.
