I'm ready to throw down the gauntlet: this is the best pedicure in Columbus. Pedicures are my weakness; I get one about every month or so. I had Polish! bookmarked for a few weeks, and a Saturday trip to the north side was the perfect excuse to try it out. IMO, nail salons usually go one of two ways: *They're really frous-frous, but the actual pedi is just kinda meh. *They're a bit divey but do an awesome job on my feet. Polish (I'm going to stop putting the exclamation point from this point on) somehow manages to check all the boxes. It's really pretty, new, and clean, and the pedi was perfect. If you're OCD about cleanliness, this is the nail salon for you. Here's what I'm talking about: *Each basin gets wrapped before your pedi. It's like a condom for your pedicure! *The jet is magnetic, so they can easily be removed and sanitized before each service. *Every piece used in the pedicure was sterilized and packaged. For example, the callous scrubber comes packaged with an adhesive backing, and it's changed for every client. Then there's the actual experience... man, it was perfect. You know how sometimes the extras in a pedicure can feel like a throwaway? Like, the foot scrub lasts for 10.2 seconds and the technician literally doesn't give AF? Not at Polish. They really focus on all the details. Some things I noticed: *Jennifer, my technician, was super careful with cutting my nails. She expertly and carefully trimmed, filed, and event buffed them. I'm not really a foot person, but my toes are so pretty right now! *That foot scrub was legit. It was just the right amount of pressure, and it felt amazing. *You get your feet and legs wrapped in hot towels! I don't know what this does, but it felt fantastic and was a nice touch. Sawmill Road is a bit of a haul for me, but I can guarantee I will find excuses to periodically head up there to get more pedicures from Polish. It is so worth the drive. Pro tips: *The space is huge! You could most definitely have an event here. It also feels a bit loungey, so there's certainly room to just hang out. *You can book online! *They can do walk-ins or appointments. read more

I took my daughter here the other day as a birthday present and she loved it! She tends to be shy around people she does not know but the nail tech was super friendly and understanding and continued to make conversation with my shy toddler. Tried this place in August after my son bought me a gift certificate for my birthday. I loved it. Tony the owner knows how to pull things together! Vicki gave me an amazing pedicure/manicure. The salon is clean, fresh and very relaxing. Wonderful massage chairs and a glass of wine make all the daily stress fade away. A little disappointed. I have gone in once before and had a good experience. I went in last Monday to get a gel mani and a regular pedi. It has been a week and already the gel is started to peel and get caught on my hair. The edge of the gel near my cuticles is coming up and it's very frustrating. I am going to go in and hopefully get them fixed, but only if I am able to find the time to do th UPDATE: I now have an ingrown toenail from the pedicure. I am honestly so upset about this. I have not once has any issues with ingrown nails, or receiving pedicures. It is so painful and I have attempted to alleviate the pain by digging the nail out and putting some cotton between the skin and nail. My experience with Jennifer was great. She was so sweet and personable. The salon is modern and very clean and well kept. I emailed to schedule an appointment off yelp and received an immediate response. My manicure turned out great and there were a ton of gel colors to choose from! After the service was completed, Jennifer told me to come back if any of my nails didn't uphold, which was much appreciated. The punch card they give you is also a nice perk--$5 off 5th visit and $10 off your 10th. Definitely recommend! read more

Oh, Polish! This is the best place and the only place where I'll get my nails done in Columbus! This salon is clean, bright, and fun! The environment at the salon seems very loving. Every staff member is so friendly and welcoming. I got a pedicure by Andrew, who is awesome by the way (Whoo, Go Dayton!). I loved being able to connect and chat with him during the pedicure. My friend had her pedicure done by Amanda, who is super great as well. The four of us really enjoyed our time together--the environment at Polish! is so lively. Naturally, it just feels like catching up with old friends! The pedicure was special because each basin is lined with a plastic covering, so you know they care about cleanliness here. Most of the items they use during your session are disposable. Sure, it's not the most sustainable, but it is the most sanitary, which I appreciate. Also, I loved having the choice of green tea, orange, and tropical citrus scrubs! I chose the orange, but I'm sure you can't go wrong with any of the options. This was my first visit - I wanted to try out the dip. I normally do my own nails but wanted to treat myself. I naturally have long strong nails which they were when I entered, unfortunately not when i left. I have long fingers so short nails don't look right on my hands imo. So I'm taking this time to give some positive feed back. The nail tech was very sweet and I believe she did a good job but listening to clients when you ask them their preference is important. I did not want my nails shorter nor did I ask for the shape she finished them in. I literally left and went to my car to re-shape them. should not of had to do that after spending $50. When I visited this salon, it was clean and the receptionist was nice. One thing that bothers me with all nail salons is how they display the colors on the wall. Seeing nail polish that is separated grosses me out. Also I was not all that impressed by the nail colors that they had. The tech I had was nice but I thought she was trying too hard to up sell me to get gel nails (which I dislike). It was kind of a meh experience. I may or may not return. read more

I have had my nails done here before and always liked it. This last time however was not the case. Last time I was there ping did a gel manicure and they looked really nice but I just prefer the dip. Elaine did my nails this time and i just don't like it. My cuticles are red and swollen after being hit with the drill a couple of times and the sides of my fingers are stuck to my nails. Also they aren't shiny anymore and I got them done yesterday. The place is adorable though I just wish they came out better because they have a great selection of powder colors. read more

TL;DR -- It was awesome. Go. I've had one manicure in my life - on my wedding day, a gift from my best woman. It was lovely and I've been wanting to do it again ever since. That was 9 years ago, so I'm apparently a little behind on my to-do list. I read Bryant M.'s review of this place a little bit ago and decided to go for the whole bit with my entire family. Yesterday I took my wife and daughter to Polish! and it was amazing. Like I said, I am not a nail salon/spa expert, but I got that manicure and it was very good. I also got a pedicure for the first time. Being a pedicure virgin, I was a little unsettled. I mean, feet are gross...and boy feet are especially gross. Ping made me feel very welcome and her easy smile really helped me to eventually relax and enjoy everything so much. Honestly, I was as relaxed as I have been in a very long time upon leaving this place. It was so worth it. I could see this becoming a dangerous semi-regular habit. I believe my wife had Andrew, and unfortunately I did not catch the gentleman's name who worked with my daughter, but they were both very good as well. My little kid could not stop smiling the whole time she was there -- she had such a blast, and they catered to her so well. My wife's nails look so great and it was just a wonderful experience for us all. This place really exudes excellence and everyone was so accommodating and went out of their way to make sure the entire experience was as good as it could be. So, basically, I drove from Gahanna from this, passing probably a dozen other nail salons on the way, and I don't regret it one bit. Will definitely be back, and highly recommend to others. Had an awesome pedicure here and loved the convenience of making an appointment online. The salon was busy but I was soaking in no time and got a few minutes to relax. They did an awesome job exfoliating my abused feet but knew not to remove calluses built up from running. This time I went for plain old, reliable Cajun Shrimp polish. It was applied to perfection and has lasted over 4 weeks without chipping! Planning to take my son back to get his tootsies pampered before his soccer season starts! This is officially my "place." I came here first when i promised my four year old i would take her to get her nails done as a special treat. They have a "kids" appointment option which is what drew me to this place. The technician who did my daughters nails was very kind, gentle, and did a great job with tiny hands. I came back a couple weeks later after i was impressed with that visit with my daughter. The place is beautiful, spacious, clean, organized, you name it. It was just a very pleasing atmosphere. Usually when i go to get my nails done there's a lot of, "i do what? i sit where? i need to what?" Not here. Any-who, i came back to get my acrylics fixed after a visit elsewhere that left my nails looking bulky and unattractive, far from natural looking at all. When i came the girl who did my nails did a GORGEOUS job. Of course, she told me she wasn't a permanent employee and that she was just helping out for the day otherwise i would see her every time. My hopes is that every experience here goes the same way, and i look forward to having someone else in the salon fix me up until i find my go to! This is by far one of the sloppiest manicures I've ever gotten. Let's start from the beginning, I schedule an appointment for 2:30. They gave me a call that I missed but didn't leave a voicemail so I called back and asked if there was something they needed? They said we have earlier openings if I'm interested and I said the earliest I could do was 2 and they said how about 3. Not sure how I ended up getting a later appointment. Once I got there I had a girl that was doing my nails and taking her time and doing a good job. Another guy at the salon said she had to go do a pedicure now....so she just stopped doing my nails and went to help someone else, which was strange. Then the guy comes over to finish up my gel manicure. He seemed frustrated and completely rushed through this. My manicure is so sloppy, it's not even on the ends or sides, there's parts where the clear doesn't even go over the entire nail, one has a piece of dust or something in it, and my thumb hurts from the way he cut my cuticles. I have a feeling this manicure isn't going to last very long at all since the clear gel isn't even over the entire nail. Overall, it's just really bad and I will not be going back. read more

I have been going to this location since it opened last year. I've gotten my nails done at many salons, and by far I love this the best. The salon is clean, welcoming and they have a huge choice of colors to pick from. The size of the salon is perfect to book ahead for a girls day, plenty of pedicure chairs to accommodate everyone. I went in for the first time for a dip powder service. The place looks nice and smells clean. The staff was very friendly. I had made an appointment and they were running behind so i had to wait for a half hour. I chose my colors and continues to wait. I finally sat to be serviced and was excited. Unfortunately not what i expected. It was rushed and applied quite sloppy. For 45$ i expected to get a typical nail cleaning and cuticles cut but that wasn't the case. She buffed my nails, filed them and went straight to the powder service, no cuticle service at all and very little hand rub. Very disappointing for the cost of this service. I definitely will not be going back. There are too many nail salons that do powder dip to settle and not be fully serviced. read more
