    Full chicken meal $27

Best Mexican food in all of the Grand Junction area! More of a carry out place, but the chicken is killer. If only they had a patio and margaritas haha. This is some of the best food in GJ, unfortunately most is either chains or mediocre.

Wow!! We are in town for a music festival and wanted some good Mexican food on our way out of town. We found this place online and could not have been more impressed. We've been to many Mexican restaurants and this is definitely our favorite. My partner got the 1/4 chicken meal and it was easily the most flavorful and well cooked chicken I've ever had. I got the carne asada and pork tacos which were both perfectly cooked and delicious. The rice and beans were also amazing. The service was polite, helpful, and fast. We chose to eat inside on a hot day and it was cool with some good music. If we didn't live four hours away we would be back weekly, definitely give this place a try!!

This is a no frills chicken place. Also delicious. Look for the giant chicken on the corner. You can't miss it. Get extra salsa. Enjoy!

It really is that good! I was skeptical when we read the reviews, but we decided to stop by on our way through town. We were five adults and we got the four person meal, it's a full chicken plus rice, beans and tortilla. Everything had so much flavor, we loved the different sauces, although the super hot one nobody ate. We all even loved the skin, even the two of us who rarely eat the skin. It was plenty of food for all of us. Good service. We ate at a table with chairs inside.

We've been eating here for a couple of years and love this place. They are consistent, quick, and friendly, and the food is so tasty. We usually get the quarter chicken meal, which includes rice and beans, tortillas, a jalapeño, and a green onion. The fruit juices are also great--flavorful and fresh.

Flavor, flavor, flavor!! This reminds me of the Pollo Loco chain in California, but this is much better! What a treat on a drive through of GJ!

This place is an easy 5 out of 5. Great local food, great price and the owner is one of the most genuine individual you could meet.

Decided to go with a 2 item combo plate with a chicharron pupusa, a chicken "enchilada," rice and beans, and added a side of fried plantains. All of the food was hot, fresh, and tasty. The pupusa and plantains were both cooked to perfection. The enchilada was not the traditional Spanish style you typically picture, but a crispy Central American style. I wasn't entirely sure how to eat it as the shell was super crispy and there was some liquid oozing out, but the flavor and texture combo was still enjoyable. Overall nice portions and more than left me with a happy, full belly. Will definitely come back whenever I am stopping through Rifle and hope I get the same server!

The parking lot was empty but I was people on the patio to the side of the restaurant. Turns out there is parking in the back. The hostess who ended up being our waitress was wonderful. She was great with the girls and was informative when it came to suggestions. My wife and I both had the combo. I got a corn tamale, Loroco and cheese pupusa and the chicken pastelito. I actually took a bite of the rice to kick off my dish and I was blown away. Normally rice is an after thought and when I tried this I couldn't wait to try the main dishes. All of it was wonderful. I couldn't have been happier. My favorite was the pupusa while my wife loved the pastelito most. The tamale was made differently than the ones I usually get which are Mexican. This one was so good but I'm a fan of cornbread and it tasted very much like that. I'd be tempted to go back again soon when I'm passing through town. Such a warm place with excellent food.

Of course I had to add salsa, because... obviously Patti went with the Huevos Rancheros and really liked it Tyler tried the Chile Relleno and said it was the best one he's had in forever -- bold statement, but he's sticking to it. I've had the Chile Relleno too, and I get it. Fresh poblano, Oaxacan cheese, refried black beans, sour cream, pickled onion, cilantro, cotija... just yummy. I also tried the Oaxacan taco and carne asada taco, and both were absolutely on point -- juicy, flavor-packed, and straight-up And yes, Dad's jalapeño sauces are a must. The green and red both add that perfect little kick And a big win--they've got a great selection of gluten-free options (clearly marked), so it's easy to navigate if that matters to you And since it's a Mexican restaurant, I had to partake in a margarita I went with the Pinky -- Dulce Vida Grapefruit Tequila, Naranja, fresh lime juice, and fresh grapefruit juice. Very tasty. Big shoutout to Sasha at the bar super knowledgeable, great vibes, and clearly a fellow GJ foodie with great recommendations. Service has been great all around both times. Solid food, great date night spot, and worth the drive. Just my opinion... don't come at me

Her daughter, Emilina, works by her side and takes your order at the window of the cutest little eatery with outdoor patio seating. I ordered the breakfast burrito with fish as my protein (not on the menu, but later found out is a traditional choice in Belize where these two lovelies are from). My dad had the omelette with chorizo and bacon, full of vegetables and opted no cheese due to his diet. Both were delicious, especially accompanied by her homemade habanero sauce and chili sauce (chipotle like). I'm definitely happy we stumbled upon this place and met these two. I will be returning!
