a plate of fried chicken with a side of corn

We got a family set delivery from Pollo Campero via their website with time assignment and it was on time. The total price is $40 (+tax and tip), which includes a promotional family set ($30)of 16 pieces of fried chicken (only dark meat), 2 sides (we had plantain and corn salad) and an extra order dessert Caramel Flan. The food was decent especially the fried chicken with thin crispy layer and corn salad. The fried chicken was braised before fried so it was flavorful and juicy. The corn salad is made with cheese, pumpkin seeds and pepper, which was my favorite. It's really delicious and special. Overall, Pollo Campero is a solid place for fried chicken and we will plan to visit when quarantine is done.

Pollo Camperooo's chicken is sooo tasty, I love getting the chicken from them!! I am half Guatemalan as well and Pollo Campero is one of their staple fast foods out there, so I am def familiar with this spot. The prices aren't bad and the side choices are all tasty. The chicken is the perfect crisp and taste that isn't like the others. Yummmyyyyyy

This is my second time since I work nearby. It's very clean, the staff can use an attitude adjustment but the food is good. I didn't see much variety in food. It's fried chicken or roasted chicken with boring sides (I'm glad the sides are tasty). They offer a tortilla with your meal. Why. Idk.They have salads too but it's really expensive given that they give you a couple of leaves and few slices of roasted chicken. Juices are very diluted . I'd say the brewed ice tea is tastier. Ice cream was really bad it was like a vanilla slushy instead of vanilla ice cream. Weird. If you eat-in they serve you on a plate and hand you actual utensils. Nice. There's Latin hot sauces on every table. I enjoyed my meal of Camperitos with a side of rice and a self-served ice tea.

Fried goodness...It's no KFC (I'm a crispy skin girl), but this place can hold it's own! I so agree with the guys on this. It's not your ordinary fried chicken. It has this distinct flavor that makes it in it's own category. I like the chicken here because it's not dry, heavily breaded or fall apart like some places. I taste the skin! The sides are a draw too! The main thing that drives me there is the cole slaw! They also have beans, rice w/veggie, fried plantains (sweet-yum or reg), fries, & mashed potatoes (not too thrilled w/this one). They have a salsa area by the soda fountain area. 4 different flavors to pick from. Part of the meal, they will ask you if you prefer a roll or 2 soft taco shells. For me, I like to peel the meat off my chicken, add some salsa and to top off the grossness, I add a little of the slaw. It's yum. Hey don't judge, it's all going to be in the stomach anyway?! The only problem is the place is a little annoying because you have these ladies who come in with their pirated dvds and try to get you to buy from them. You think one is not bad, but try 3-5 of them walking around or sitting there staring ready to pounce you. I'll give it to them because after the first time of my evil leering (uhm...trying to eat here & enjoy my 2nd love of my life: fried chicken), the 2nd time they didn't bother us at all. But, just be prepared to deal with them. You may say no to one, but you will find yourself repeating it a few times.

The famous Guatemalan fried chicken chain has landed in New York City in two accessible locations. Both serve the same menu, and both are true to their home country's delicious restaurant. There are many things that set this fast food chain above its American counterparts. Firstly, they treat you well, are friendly, and do not seem inconvenienced when you place an order. It's also nice to eat off of real plates and create less waste. Fries are not the obligatory choice of any combo meal, the list of choices is at least 10, and includes tostones, sweet plantains, Campero's special beans, and many more. All for the price of a combo meal at McDonald's or Burger King. I added sweet plantains ($0.30 extra) to my three-piece meal ($6.59) this time, which includes tortillas and one of many drink options not just limited to soda. The jamaica and tamarindo are both delicious, the horchata here less so. And the chicken, in all its greasy glory is some of the finest fried chicken available. It is thoroughly soaked in the hot grease, inside and out, but that is the beauty of it. Their spices make the skin and meat both explode with great flavor.

Brand new space. Clean, modern and good service.

Pollo Campero delivers consistently delicious chicken fried to perfection. If you think all fried chicken is the same, then you have another thing coming. This chicken is seasoned with Latin spices that adds a different dimension to the humble yard bird. I'm so glad this location opened. I usually go to the Hempstead branch and have even visited the Los Angeles one. It's that good! I can't speak to the other dishes they serve as I usually only indulge in the fried chicken, but I've heard good things. Get a three piece with fries and a dinner roll and you're in for a carb-loaded fried chicken extravaganza. The JH location is very new and clean with nice people. Parking is a nightmare so I usually take a partner in crime to run in and pick up the order. Please enjoy.

I happened to be searching nearby for Peruvian food and came across Bravazo. While i thought it was…read morea new spot, this pkace hs been opened for a while. We decided to order a 1/2 of rotisserie Peruvian chicken- chicken only ($10). Ceviche clasico ($20) and a side order of plantains ($6) and a bottle of my favorite Peruvian beer cusqueña ($6). We sat down about 6:30pm, the restaurant was relatively empty, seems like ther take out business was moving. We kept noticing people just coming from the outside to use the restroom. Food service was very quick, we noticed the rotisserie chicken breast was a bit dry, the leg and tight seem moist. The tostones were perfectly fried, the ceviches was fine nothing special. The typical green sauce was set in the table and it paired well with the chicken, tostones and ceviche. Overall the menu seems difficult to understand prices. Menu has family meals, and meals that are protein only such as the chicken i ordered. But in my opinion this is confusing, maybe family meals work when you have 4 or more people but for 2, its too much food. Psrking was difficult, when the bill came, the tip is automatically added onto the bill, while i dont have a problem tipping, they should tell you that from the beginning and not just add it to the bill automatically. When the server gave me the bill, they had also made a mistake to charge me for tap water. I went to the counter and i asked why there was a$2 charge for water and they told me it was a mistakebut neither the server or the person ringing the bill caught it, until i told them. I definitely had better Peruvian food but as a last minute decision we ate here because we were visiting my family nearby. I normally goto to Long Island, Ocenaside to eat at Ananau, now this joint the service, ambiance and the food is definitely 5 star. Bravazo did not feel like s restaurant ambiance, felt like a take spot. Dont get me wrong, the server was very nice but i wouldn't come back. While my wife was washing her hands in the restroom, some guy off the street who was not a customer came in loud, and started to bang on the door of the restroom. Nobody in management or even the servers said anything to him, weird situation and what was more disturbing was that he was hanging out at the pizza place next door. During our dinner, i notice people from the pizza place where coming in to use the restrooms in the restaurant.-totally weird.
