First time here and did not know what to expect, but happy to report I enjoyed it! The food is good for fast casual Mexican food. Of course you may get more authentic from a Mom and Pop shop or a sit down, but pretty good I would say overall. What I really liked here was the bar where you could get your own salsa, marinated onions, jalapeños, cooked beans, onions, cilantro, limes and lemons. They had like packets to go of their salsa and onions/cilantro as well. Love these kinds of things, it is the simple things that make me happy. The people working there were friendly, took our order and the food came out quickly. The prices here are reasonable as well. Being in Hollywood, sometimes things can be over priced, but they keep things grounds and just do good food at a good price with some extra little bonuses. I liked both their green and red salsas, as well as they have Jamaica, horchata and other drinks as well, yum! If in the area or near a Taco Galician, give it a try, you will like it. I really love this place. One of my favorite things is the free beans and the generous condiment bar--it's fully stocked and even includes cooked onions, which makes it feel like you can really customize your meal exactly how you want it. The staff are always friendly, and the food consistently hits the spot. There is a bit of inconsistency at times, but overall the experience is still very solid and enjoyable every time I go. The prices are a little on the higher side, but the portion sizes are large enough that you definitely get full pretty quickly, so it balances out in the end. One of my LA go-to's for tacos & mulitas - especially on Taco Tuesday! Located right on the corner of Sunset & La Brea, there's plenty of parking and it's pretty easy to get in and out of there - something nice to have in the middle of LA! My favorite items are the Carne Asada Mulita (soooo cheesy!) and the Al Pastor Tacos! The tacos are on the small side - kind of like street tacos, but they stuff them FULL of the meat and then you can add whatever toppings/salsas yourself. I came here at around 2-3 am right after my long shift from work. I had ordered my food the cashier had told me my total and I handed her a 20$ bill . She took my money and put it in the register. She proceeded to tell me my total again and I told her I had handed her the money already and she kept going on about how I didn't. The manager came over and I demanded they check the cameras because I know I handed her the 20$ . The manager showed me only 1 angle and you can clearly see me handing her something and he kept telling me no that it was the receipt paper. Why tf would I hand over receipt paper. I demanded again he show me another angle and he did and you can clearly see me handing over the money. Not once did I get an apology they tried making me seem out to be a crazy person. The lady did not apologize and all I got out of this situation as an apology was a damn drink . I ordered a a Torta Cubana a hearty flavorful sandwich made of cheese, a beef cutlet, ham, sausage, refried beans, avocado on a roll that is toasted in a sandwich press. Also I ordered a taco, I chose beef tongue from the choice of meats, the meat was tender, moist and flavorful. I added sautéed onion and chili from the condiments bar and salsa verde which brought the flavor levels to a high point. Their is a large selection of beverages at the drink station, however no alcohol beverages are served. The staff are friendly and the restaurant is clean with ample tables to dine on. Safety is my primary concern. This review will focus on this particular location. For those who are not from the area, this corner is swamped by homeless encampments. The management seems to be ok with homeless people soliciting in the restaurant. One day this homeless guy started a fight with me because I wasn't replying to his inquiries.
