    Harvest chicken salad
    Timm R.

Always tasty and fresh. The staff are nice and welcoming. The harvest chicken salad is delicious. You can watch your salad being made and eat in a nice, open dining area.

Inedible mac & cheese. So hard and dried out
    Jessica Z.

I'm not sure if the Hollywood location is just severely lacking or if the whole Tender Greens chain is going downhill, but this was a huge disappointment. I ordered the steak plate with beans and salad and the whole thing was so average and completely lacking in flavor. The beans were egregiously hot while the steak was barely warm, which made no sense. My boyfriend got the Cali Bowl with chicken and then sides of salmon and mac & cheese. The chicken was full of fat and weird bits, and the mac & cheese was dried out and hard -- honestly inedible. If we weren't on a time crunch, I would've had them remake the Mac & cheese. Service was also just... strange. Despite the food arriving lukewarm, it took about 25 minutes to get our order, and the server was awkward and off-putting. There were six employees standing around and barely anyone in the restaurant, so I really don't understand the delay or lack of care. Please skip this location. I've always liked Tender Greens and the variety they offer, but this spot missed the mark in every possible way. I'm hoping other locations haven't fallen this far.

Harvest Chicken Salad - SO good and fresh!

My boyfriend and I had a wonderful time stopping by Tender Greens in Hollywood. The staff was so kind and went above and beyond for us. Isabelle patiently took our order and regretfully informed me that they had run out of the salad that I wanted to try (Beet and Burrata), but immediately offered me to pick any salad from their menu. I got the Harvest Chicken Salad and they added in beets for me! It was sooo delicious and you could tell how fresh all the ingredients were. The staff was very accommodating and we felt very welcome there. Alex came over to check on us and offered to grab us a beverage, which was so thoughtful! Thanks to Isabelle, Alex, and Elisabeth for making our visit to Tender Greens so memorable! We will definitely be back to try the Beets and Burrata salad

I really enjoyed visiting Tender Greens in hollywood. The restaurant itself is very large with a ton of seating. I felt it was very clean besides some plates from customers but it was also very busy so I don't hold that against the workers. The entire staff was working really hard and were all really friendly. I ordered the chipotle chicken sandwich and a hibiscus tea. Personally the hibiscus tea was too sugary, I prefer just a tea based drink but my friends enjoyed theirs. The sandwich was absolutely delicious and I will definitely be coming back for another one.

I wanted to try something new so I got the Chicken Pesto sandwich and the woman who took my order reassured me on the deliciousness of the sandwich. She was right, and so kind!! We talked about her birthday coming up on the 25th. The staff here was so kind, both the woman who took my order and the man who brought me my meal and checked in. The hot sauce and ranch here is superb Also, shout out to whoever was on aux because they were playing great hits. Clean eating space and great natural light.

The outdoor space was absolutely beautiful and the perfect setting to celebrate with my closest friends and family. We did a family-style brunch, and let me tell you, they did not miss. For the main dishes, we shared the French toast, chilaquiles, and shrimp and grits, along with house-made bacon and butterball potatoes. The French toast and bacon were my favorites by far. My goodness. I am still thinking about them. The shrimp and grits were also perfectly seasoned and packed with flavor. What made me laugh was that our group is usually very chatty. There was so much talking, catching up, and laughing. Then the food arrived and suddenly all you heard were forks and spoons hitting plates followed by a bunch of "mmm," "oh wow," and "girl! you've got to try this." California offered an immediate rush of light, space, and possibility. My memory is that when I turned my phone back on at LAX, my friend messaged to say he'd gotten us the hookup at Bestia. That dinner belongs to a chapter in which I spent considerable time in California and felt energized by the contrast with New York. My friend is highly discerning, with impeccable taste in food, design, and culture. He notices details most people miss, so when a place impresses him, I pay attention. From the moment I saw his message, I knew the reservation meant something. Even before we entered, Bestia's character was evident. Faded lettering crossed the corrugated metal facade, while brick walls and old loading doors preserved the warehouse's industrial history. Inside, enormous windows and garage doors brought light into a room shaped by glass, exposed ductwork, and warm amber pendants. When I fantasize about living in a loft, many of the attributes I picture are here, especially the incredible windows and connection to the street. Inside the restaurant, the dining room achieved a combination I rarely encounter. It had the table density and collective buzz of a great New York restaurant, but within a large, design-forward space closer in scale to something found in Chicago. New York creates energy through tight rooms, while Chicago excels at ambitious spaces with strong architectural identities. Bestia captured both advantages and made its considerable footprint feel alive and unified. We sat shoulder to shoulder at a pale stone counter facing the open kitchen. Golden era hip hop was playing, and A Tribe Called Quest still rings a very specific bell. I ordered the squid ink pasta, and it was exquisite, with enough depth and precision to command attention amid everything happening around us. We also spotted an unmistakably A-list celebrity, whom I will leave unnamed, making the night feel quintessentially Los Angeles. During that period, I often stayed at the Ace Hotel downtown, and the Arts District felt vibrant, raw, and full of possibility. The proximity to Skid Row could be deeply jarring, with severe hardship existing beside ambitious development and expensive restaurants. That contrast kept the neighborhood from feeling like a neat story of urban renewal, even as Bestia seemed to anchor its evolution. The warehouses and loading docks gave the area a character that no new development could convincingly recreate. Nearby, I also remember the American Apparel complex during its demise and the rise of impossibly cool Los Angeles designer John Elliott. His Escobar sweatpants and Villain hoodie helped define the kit of that moment; loyalists will understand. Los Angeles is a fickle city, drawn toward whatever is new and shiny, which makes Bestia's longevity especially impressive. Scene without substance is plastic, and Bestia earned its electricity through exceptional cooking, assured service, and a remarkable space; if I lived in Los Angeles, this would be one of the places I'd rely on whenever I wanted to impress someone. This is absolutely one of my favorite restaurants in the world.

With tempered expectations. The meal was largely a success .. a couple of misses that coulda brought me down.. but the highs were so high.. they made up for the missteps. Service. Hostess was super friendly and welcoming. Somethings they can be not so much.. but she was just lovely The actual service was friendly. But like some other reviewers said.. maybe they were a bit over whelmed. I'd label the service and friendly functional. The waiter said we ordered the perfect amount of food. I'd say we ordered 1 too many items. Scallop crudo: a lovely starter. It came really quick after ordering. We were sitting at the cold bar so could see these getting prepped. Drizzled with ground pistachio and a citrus oil. Simple. But delicious. Over priced a bit at $23. Maybe. It was delicious. Who cares Peaches and farmers cheese. Wow o wow did this dish sing. It was just light and lovely. Just the way I love to eat THE cornbread. Could it live up to the HYPE?!? Yes. Oh yes. It borders on being under baked.. ours actually prolly was a bit. But it just makes it that much moist The outside is crispy. Inside moist. It was the single best bite I have had in years. I am in love All is good in the world with this cornbread Tomato Caesar. Our meal took a dip here after three unbelievably fantastic dishes. Were they fine. Yes. The toppings were so strong. I really couldn't taste tomato. While these look great, I'd say skip this dish. Order the green salad instead Next the steak : at $149. I was hoping for greatness. It mostly was. I took a the middle slice and it was great. Our bone marrow was a bit stingy. Only had enough for two slices. But it definitely enhances the steak! As we ate from the middle out. (Animals I know). It bacame apparent that everything but the middle slice was over cooked (ordered medium rare). This steak was cooked medium. So much so the outer 1/3s are dry. A bit disappointing for $150 steak. The server never solicited feedback on the food as it was served, even when we asked to box up half the steak. As they cleared plates.. we did get a "how was it,". Bit not a real check in as to how our food was The mashed potatoes were perfection. I did add some salt that was served with the steak to them as they were slightly....just slightly under seasoned. But still. These are pretty perfect mashed potatoes. We topped it off with cobbler (peach blackberry). It was great. And a small scoop of $9 ice cream .. cookies and cream. I'd skip this favor. Too much cookie. Not enough cream. Al in all. A really wonderful meal. The steak, even though it wasn't cooked perfectly . Was still delicious. That cornbread does live up to the hype. It is my best bite of the year for sure We have reservations again next week. I'm already looking forward to it!

It made it a little difficult to relax and have a conversation. Service: 3/5 The staff was friendly, but they seemed overwhelmed. The restaurant was packed, and it felt like they accepted more guests than they could comfortably handle. It took quite a while for someone to take our drink order, and the food also took a long time to arrive. Noise Level: Very loud Food: 4/5 The kitchen clearly knows what it's doing, and the food quality is there. That said, it feels like Dunsmoor has reached "hipster hype" status, where the buzz may be a little bigger than the overall experience. I'd definitely go back, though, because there are still several appetizers I'd like to try. What We Ordered: - Chicken Liver - 5/5: Absolutely delicious. The rich chicken liver paired perfectly with their incredible sourdough bread. - Green Chile Stew - 5/5: Outstanding. It was packed with large, tender chunks of pork, and the fresh flour tortillas were amazing. - Trout - 3/5: The biggest disappointment of the meal. While the fish was meaty and cooked well, it lacked flavor and felt very basic. - Famous Cornbread - 4/5: Good, but it didn't quite live up to the hype for me. Final Thoughts: Dunsmoor serves some excellent food, especially the chicken liver and green chile stew, but the overall experience was held back by the long waits and noisy dining room. I can see why it's so popular, but I think some of the excitement is driven by hype. Even so, I'd come back to explore more of the menu.
