EWWWW!! seriously i waited 15-20 mins just to get my chicken bloody !! disgusting its not even fully cooked im disappointed bc i was craving pollo campero

This chicken is so ahh. Idk how a place can mess up so bad. Everyone was hyping this place up but it is priced wayyyyy above than what it is. KFC and Poppeyes mogs this place all day everyday. How can they burn the outside of thing but leave the inside raw. The empanada has the basket marks on them and one side is burnt and other side is white. They were also missing part of my order as well. 3 boxes but only gave me 2. Learn how to count morons. The box says always fresh how about always FXxed. Dogshet chicken trash ahh chicken. Do yourself a favor and get chicken from anywhere else but here.

Salad review only. Price: $13.11 IMO the salad they offer does not have any value when compared to other places. It's $3 overpriced. you get a ton more add ons and portions at chipotle. They have fried chicken and grilled. But only have fried chicken for the salad and bowl. I've tried the bowl and it definitely beats the salad. Would I recommend the salad? No. Do I want to try the chicken meal? Yes.

    The Yuca is great!

Such a good spot for fried chicken/fast food! I got the three piece meal with yuca fries and plantains. Everything tasted great! The chicken was lightly crispy and less bready than other fast food fried chicken places. It had a slight kick of savoriness as well. The best part was the chicken pieces were larger than the ones at KFC, so you can actually get full off of this meal. The yuca fries were starchier than fries and felt a bit heavier. And then the plantains are soft and sweet. For $11, I was pleased with the meal.

Was going to KFC but the street was closed so my co-worker mentioned Pollo Campero. First time here. Food: The chicken was cooked good. Crispy skin with flavor. I liked that it wasnt over powered by breading or skin. The mash potatoes were ok. The gravy was missing something. The rice was better. The star of the meal were the beans. This place is missing a slasa bar like Pollo Loco. I think a salsa would enhance the flavor of the chicken. Anyway, dont know if i'd return but im glad i got try it.

First time trying the fried chicken. Food was brought to our table freshly made. Chicken was very good and crispy,it had a distinct flavor. French fries super crispy and the rice was good too. The service was good, workers were friendly. Watch out KFC and Popeyes, there's a new sheriff in town!

Very expensive and small portioned. What costs $18 for a 4 piece Leg & Thigh meal here costs about $14 at El pollo Loco

The moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm smiles and incredible hospitality. Monique was an absolute angel, keeping me company while I waited for my order. It's so rare to find a team that genuinely cares about making customers feel welcomed and happy. As for the food: we ordered the fried green tomatoes, fried okra, and the two-piece chicken plate with mac & cheese and collard greens. LET ME TELL YOU, WE WERE BLOWN AWAY! Every single bite was perfection. If you're looking for authentic, amazing food paired with unforgettable vibes, this is the spot. Exceptional--Possibly the Best Fried Chicken in Orange County…read more I was surprised to see a few negative reviews because our experience with Gus's Fried Chicken in Santa Ana was exceptional. This is some of the best fried chicken I've ever had. It has a true Southern-style flavor: perfectly seasoned, crispy on the outside, juicy inside, and just enough of a spicy kick without overpowering the chicken. The Louisiana hot sauce packets are nothing fancy, but the simple vinegary heat pairs perfectly with the chicken. The fried green tomatoes were excellent, and the barbecue baked beans were seriously good as well. My only regret is that we didn't order the collard greens and mac and cheese--I'll definitely be trying both next time. We ordered delivery, and everything arrived hot, neatly packaged, and in great condition. The customer service was also excellent. Even the leftovers reheated beautifully in the air fryer. For my taste, Gus's beats the Korean fried chicken spots, the other Southern-style chicken restaurants, Crack Shack, Raising Cane's, and the other popular fried chicken places around Orange County. The flavor and seasoning put it in a different category. Absolutely superb. Five out of five, and easily one of the best fried chicken experiences in Orange County.

Doors wide open so I knew there wouldn't be a/c running during this painful heat wave and I was right. It was hot in there. No one at the counter, so we awkwardly wait for about 4 or 5 minutes that felt a lot longer. Someone pops out, no greeting, like we interrupted them (maybe we did) and we order. I got a grilled cheese and my friend got the burger. He got the combo. When the dude asked if I wanted a drink, I said just a cup for water. He hesitated, then the look on his face looked like he was mad about it. We pay, my friend doesn't leave a tip on the screen because I wanted to tip in cash. And it took forever to get the receipt to the point of my friend saying "it's cool, don't need it". This dude seemed so annoyed by us. He didn't give us our cups so we sat down. He starts making the food. I was like, he's waiting to give us our cups so we get less refills since we only got one soda (just me overthinking, who really knows). When the food was ready, he brings it out to us, which was nice. My friend said, oh our drinks! And stands up. The guy points to the cups next to the register so apparently we were supposed to grab our own cups. The water from the soda fountain was good, didn't have that tap taste. That's a plus. We didn't share the soda, which I felt we were silently being accused of doing. The fries are hot and fresh and were really good. The grilled cheese was nothing special, smashed kinda flat so not super cheesy and pretty much like one your babysitter makes you at home. But that's a good thing so no complaint. My friend said the burger was really good, and the thousand island style sauce was superb- he said it tasted homemade and had a nice kick and took the burger to a higher level. Anyway, it was just an annoying experience that would have been a lot better if the guy showed any sense of friendliness and if he simply said "go ahead and grab your cups". Will I come back? No idea. Maybe not during a heat wave. I'd like to try the burger myself.

I will not be returning to this establishment…read more For the burger joint being called gourmet burger, the burgers were far from gourmet. I placed a to-go order and ordered a patty melt, spicy burger, sweet potato fries, regular fries, and fried zucchini. The spicy burger was slightly dry, lacked a unifying ingredient and didn't have much flavor (way different looking than photos) The saving grace were the jalepenos for spice. The sweet potato fries were good (just as any sweet potato fries would be) and the regular fries were well cooked and seasoned. The patty melt was a huge disappointment. A sesame sour dour bread was used (odd..) and the bread and meat were so dry it made it almost inedible. The bread was so dry and the sesame didn't taste good, we had to remove the bread entirely from the burger to eat it. We didn't even finish it, it was so bad. The fried zucchini, was decent but came extremely oily and the size of the zucchini was tiny. If you order, expect to eat mainly the fried breading. Another gripe I had was that even though I ordered through a mobile app, the food was not ready (and no one was in the restaurant) . I had to go to the register and tell them I had a to-go order, then (and only then) did the staff look for it and begin making it. I had to sit at the restaurant for another 15 minutes due to this. I will not be returning.
