Another TikTok find , but not really !!! Again one of my favorite TikTokers bragged highly about a place similar to this one, only where she was in Lubbock Texas , we don't have that same restaurant here in the DFW, so I googled similar places and this place popped up more times then plenty with some great reviews. Being from California, I am familiar with El Pollo Loco, so I wanted to try somewhere different. Pulling into the parking lot my daughter immediately was like I want some , it smells real good . Pollo Regio , was great . Although it wasn't the same establishment as the one my TikToker raved significantly about , I ordered and asked to have my food prepared exactly as she described. Pollo Regio NAILED IT!!! I ordered the half chicken with the whole grilled onions (x2) and added some grilled whole jalapeños . Restaurant slightly small , but was clean and had consistent foot traffic. The Salad /condiment bar was missing some popular items such as the pickled purple onions , which i truly looked forward to adding to my meal , but they were unfortunately all out . They also offered complementary chips , which my daughter wasted no time in getting some . My meal came with some rice , beans and tortillas. I'm not really big on rice , having braces has made it difficult and uncomfortable to eat rice only this rice was really delicious, nicely cooked and well seasoned. Best way to describe the taste is it tasted liked some perfectly made Rice-A-Roni. And if you know about some perfectly made Rice-A-Roni , then you know exactly what I'm talking about. It was Probably some of the best rice I've ever had . I don't really eat beans and depending on the kind and how they are cooked I can't even come close to them because of allergies. These beans smelled amazing, that I was even tempted to try them , but I instead took no chance and just gave them to my puppies and they seemed to really like them . I got home and prepared my meal to how I seen it done on TikTok and oh boy, I am HOOKED . The tortillas aren't needed for me for I'm not too big on bread and rather get straight to the point lol, I grabbed the onion piece and wrapped it around the perfectly grilled chicken, dipped it in one of the many different sauces and ate it each time taking a bite of the grilled jalapeños , it was HEAVEN !!! Ordered fajitas plate, I got some crispy chicken rolls wrapped tighter than a pencil and about the size of a pencil ! With a couple of scraps of bland dry chicken in them ! With a nice helping of sour cream, guacamole, and all the fixings you would put it a fajita and when I ask a worker how you do this chicken crispy crunch wrap you couldn't unroll to add a drop of hot sauce let alone garnishments to , he said you put it over the top of the pencil of chicken!!! I'd love to give this place 5 stars because the food is quite tasty, but the customer service is less than satisfactory. The drive-through lines during peak hours can be ridiculous, but walking in during those times can often be much quicker. This leads to the question of why they haven't developed a better system of handling the drive-through. If someone orders something that won't be ready for some time, it would make sense to have an area they could pull into to wait for their food & have someone run it to them when it's ready. That way they can work on the orders for other cars which might not need to wait. My main complaint during this visit though was customer service, which I can't entirely blame the the cashier for, because she did just look overwhelmed, but still...it's nice to have someone seem like they care. We ordered fries to go, which are $2.99, & she brought them to us in a small cup. It was literally just a handful of fries. Pic attached. At the same time, she was bringing out fries for a table that was eating in, & that tray had at least 3 times the amount of fries as were in our tiny cup. As she walked back, I asked if that was all that came in the order, & she quickly said yes & kept moving without any concern. I'm just disappointed with that response. I have been here since 6:20 placed my go order however, they got my order together and then proceeded to tell me oh well we're waiting on your rice then she comes and brings me a bag a small bag of fries so there's no rice here some fries first of all that's not what I order second of all they're making two huge boxes of to go maybe somebody catered and I get it. It's an expensive order but I'm pretty sure they have rice in one of those bags they could've easily given me one of those rice out of those to go or catering boxes to get me out of the restaurant and then waited and then fulfill the order because it's not done yet and they're preparing it and having me sit here another 30 additional 40 minutes this is really bad service. I should have known better. I walked in at around 11:30 on a weekday and there was one customer in the place. Got a half chicken lunch special for like $15. When I opened it up it was old shriveled chicken in the wrapper. These jokers are selling old food. I could tell, the meat was gray. I ate a piece and some beans. An hour later it was stomach cramps and mad dashes to the bathroom. This continued all night and over 24 hours later my stomach is still messed up. No wonder there was no line. read more

Love this place! Great service and the food is delicious. I usually get the potato with either pastor or barbacoa. It comes with a grilled jalapeño and a spicy green sauce (basically like a verde sauce) that is amazing. I would also recommend trying the chicken, it's moist and the seasoning is great. We all love Regio's but NOT THIS ONE! We stopped in for a quick bite to eat to go after a long ride back home with babies. Not sure why but everyone else was getting their food. Everyone that came in after us got their food are and left...we were still waiting. I finally bring it up to the lady and she said it should not be much longer, so we wait more. 10 minutes later, I ask the same lady to let me speak to the manager for a refund she says ok and goes to the back to grab her I assume. No apologies or offers for consolation. About another ten minutes, the manager comes out and gives us a refund, again no apologies or offers if consolation. Wasted almost an hour at the place and still walked out with no food. Babies and all of us still hungry and tired. WORST REGIOS EVER! read more

I'm am writing this as I digest my food baby. Holy Moly. This places serves a mean roast chicken. Their chicken is wonderfully seasoned and is cooked with a pleasant char. It honestly tastes like summer. I know where to go now when I'm missing sunshine in the dead of winter.They serve their chicken with corn tortillas, rice and beans. Their beans are pretty damn delicious. They're tender and buttery with bits of bacon simmered into the sauce. DROOLS. Their condiment bar is well stocked too.
