Wow!!! Honestly I am impressed how simple, but so delicious food is here. This place definitely deserves a higher rating. Cashier took order and was so kind and patient with us. To be honest, I usually always have a problem with my order at any location I go to. But I love the food so I keep coming back... My sister and I placed mobile orders and my pick up time was 5 mins before hers. When we got there, we were a little early so waited a bit. After about 10-15 minutes of waiting, at this point it was past my sister's pick up time so she asked an employee if our food would be on the shelf as soon as it's ready or if we needed to let them know we were there. She let us know that they try to time it so that it's hot and ready when people arrive. Employee checked and my sister's food was already done, even though she ordered after me? She ordered a churrasco steak platter but was missing sauce that it comes with. We waited an additional 5 minutes for my order to be finished and it was missing beans. Add to the good food that Pollo Tropical has, a bright inviting atmosphere and friendly staff and you have a winning combination. I would definitely recommend getting the chicken here. For fast food, it is pretty good and I think that it is worth mentioning that it is a bit more healthy than what the fast food burger places are offering. Pollo Tropical is definitely a great option if you are looking more of a fast food experience, but still want to have a good meal and something more substantial than a greasy burger and some french fries. This restaurant in Oviedo is one of the nicer ones. Stopped for a quick lunch on a Sunday and luckily beat the rush. We ordered a few tropichop bowls, one with their vegan beyond meat picadillo, which a nice alternative for people not eating meat. They have a slew of plant-based toppings as well with their onions, peppers, corn, and tomatoes. On this visit, being sanitary was a priority, so the sauce bar was closed, but you could ask for whatever you needed. Also, they provided the cutlery, straws, and lids for your drinks. I did try and get a lid for my drink on the way out, but they were busy and I was unable to accomplish that task. Oh, they have chicken too! And other meats. If you have a mix of people that are herbivore/carnivore types, then this is a great stop. read more

This is a fantastic Pollo Tropical location. The food is yummy and cheap. This restaurant is clean, and staff are friendly. Many times you can get a free quarter chicken with rice and black beans for your next visit on the back of your receipt (just have to do a quick survey). The two of us end up eating for less than $10 each time. I would recommend the grilled chicken and fried yuca for sure. This location has brown rice, which I enjoy because it is a bit healthier. Give their different sauces a try. They even serve sangria and beer. I visit this location quite often because I do like the food and it's convenient. However, once again, they have failed. I don't know what the problem is with her management. The place appeared to be fully staffed. Staff were crawling over one another and no one else was in the drive-through. I asked for the grill master special with red beans and white rice. Very specifically asked for red beans because I can't stand black beans. When I drove up to the window to pay, I knew there would be problems. The worker had that deadeye blank look on her face. I specifically asked her if she put my condiments that I had requested in the bag she looked at me and said yes, even though she had not put the chimichurri sauce in the bag. Once I got home and unpacked my dinner, it was immediately evident that I got black beans instead of red beans which I had requested specifically twice to have red beans. This is not a one off. This particular location cannot for the life of them get an order, correct and in the bag. Either they put the wrong sides in the order or they forget things. Or like in this case, the wrong kind of beans and left out one of the sauces I requested. I could understand this happening once in a while, but the restaurant was not busy. They were plenty of staff, they just can't get it right. I would suggest they take a look at management because obviously they aren't capable of training their crew. I go right back to the restaurant where the manager KEISHLA calls the general manager comes back and tells me they didnt see any glass in the back. I was immediately upset. I didn't ask for a refund at that point ( I did later on) and I didn't ask for any coupons. I went there to let them know that I had a bit down on a piece of glass. I went to the counter, and there were only two cars in a drive-through, however, it took about four minutes before the cooks yelling at somebody, by the name of Maria to come to the front, I finally got somebody to take my order. She asked me if it was for her to go and I said it's gonna be for here. I looked on the menu. It said, it was one price for rice and beans, and one side and another price for rice and beans and two sides... So I said I'm gonna have rice and beans and my two sides are going to be... I said so another words with the menu says it's not with the prices... She says yeah that's the IT people do that... I said oh well... She said, are you paying with cash or card? I said why? She said our machines down... We only taking cash right now...
