Who says a quick meal on a road trip can't be healthy? Found this little cute little Pollo Tropical in Palm Bay just 1/2 mile west of I-95. We normally don't stop for fast food because it's not healthy and we didn't really want to lose time at a full service restaurant so we settled on PT. So glad we did! It's a cute little place with tables, booths, and even some cute little corner booths, (pictured.). They had a "Saucing Island" full of various sauces, seasonings, and toppings. They also had super cute decor....classic paintings with the subjects all turned into chickens! I wanted to get a picture of my favorite...Chicken Mona Lisa, but there were people sitting in front of it & I didn't want to disturb them. They also had a chicken version of American Gothic, an Andy Warhol style chicken painting & a few more. As for the food; I was trying to stick to my diet so I had a Caribbean grilled chicken breast, and sides of corn and mashed potatoes. Everything was tasty.....some of the other options looked even better but I was trying to be good! Service was pleasant. The worst Pollo Tropical in Florida! They allow their young employees to mistreat their customers. No wonder the reviews here are so bad for this place. They do not know how to treat customers correctly, they allow their employees to give attitude and talk back to customers. You are just supposed to be silent and accept their poor service and not having any salsas, cocktail sauce, butter, nothing, this place is the worst. The young guy working here is so nasty to the customers, how do they expect to get people to come back here? They never have any salsas for the chicken you buy, when you speak up or say anything, they complain about how they have to work so hard and are not paid well and we are just supposed to remain quiet and accept their low quality service and no amenities. I have been here twice, both bad experiences, we will never go back here again. I cannot believe they can keep this place opened, who would want to deal with the bad attitude and service here? They are always out of salsas and only give you one per person. It is the worst Pollo in FL, I now understand why the reviews here are so bad and why it is so empty in the parking lot and no one in their dinning room. Who would want to spend so much money here and then they do not have salsas and then for their rude and uneducated employees to give so much attitude and talking back to customers. We ordered at 733pm and sat down it's after 8 and our food is not anywhere to be seen. What did I order? A bowl of soup and a kids meal smh We were told it was backed up because of large orders coming in. And we were told "and we also have to take care of the drive through too" No, you take the orders in the order they come in, big or small. The drive thru does not get priority because they are outside or having cars wrapped around makes your store look bad. Normally I go to this location and the chicken is either dry or the fries are overcooked, but I have to admit the food was amazing! I got the 1/2 fire chicken platter with 2 sides, side salad and Mac and Cheese and that was probably the best meal I've ever had. I wish I could remember the ladies name but she was very kind at the drive thru, as well. This place definitely changed my views on how I used to think of this location. So I attended this pollo tropical today at about 11:30 am . I'm visiting I'm from Miami. The service first started off ok and then suddenly once you start asking questions it's a problem. My chicken had bloody sections which is disgusting , the rice was sticky rice as if I was at a sushi restaurant. I asked for another piece of chicken and their still was blood on it. Went here on September 15, 2022 with my family. This place needs to be shut down immediately, the customer service is ok but the cooks in the back look lazy and like they don't want to do their work. The food wasn't really good it looked like it was reheated, and if it was reheated it wasn't even hot enough to enjoy it was more cool than hot. I will never go to this place again. They also messed up the orders and had to wait an extra 10-15 minutes after I got some of the food, I feel like I could've wasted my $60 onto something better. It a kind of ridiculous how rude the employees are here. I've been here three separate occasions and every time I am treated with disrespect from their employees. My drink was forgotten in the drive through so I went in and told a woman at the front. She looks at me with a rude look and says "okay?" and walks balk into the assembly and starts making food again. Also, I asked for cilantro lime sauce in the drive thru and was told they don't have that today and when I walked in there was buckets full of it in the sauces area, so obviously someone didn't want to do their job. the food is good, i'll give you that. We need more Pollo Tropicals around here. This location is great. It's right off the interstate and easily accessible. Be prepared to see a few cents extra on your receipt because of the location. Something weird. No smoothies here but they give you a handy flashy vibrating device that lets you know when your food is ready so you can load up on sauces with the little paper bag they give you while your order is being processed. In fact, they have a fairly limited menu compared to the other locations I've been to. They are normally very quick and fresh - like all Pollo Tropicals should be. The outside dining area looks nice. One day I'll use it. For a fast food restaurant they keep it extremely clean. My only complaint is the staff seems to have an attitude with the Spanish speaking customers. They need to hire a Spanish speaking cashier I think. read more

Next, even when they were first open and super busy the food was great and so was the service. Now that it has calmed down, nothing has changed! Two weeks later and it's the same great stuff! The guy at the register cannot hear well. I speak loud and clear I'm told. The woman who brought our food held the tray to her chin and spoke over it "who gets the half chicken"...that's nasty! Sit the tray down and then get the plates. The moist towelettes were dry. I'm still trying to figure that one out. I asked for a quarter chicken dark meat and I was given white. The booths are very narrow; we kept accidentally stepping on each others toes. Finally one of us sat sideways to keep that from continuing. Furthermore two employees behind the counter were playfully throwing things at one another across the line. I guess they like each other. The bathroom was clean and the uniforms of the employees. Stopped here on our drive down 95. We were 2nd in line and waited 20mins in line and never got to order. No one behind the counter. A few employees in the back hanging out. Another 2-3 employees blocking the open area inside while talking and hanging out with some friends who came to visit. One friend opened the employees only door, so they may have worked there. Definitely won't add this location to my stops since we travel often down 95. read more

Although I have had poor experience with their fries in the past, about a month ago I ordered fries and they were absolutely wonderful. Well, it was a one off! I never leave bad reviews unless I feel it to be absolutely necessary. I had high hopes for this place but was greatly disappointed soon after walking in. The customer service is terrible, everyone we came in contact with was so rude. We came in at around 2:30 on a Sunday so may have been a little busier than on a weekday but there was definitely not a crazy amount of people there.
