Amazing chicken wow I'm so impressed. The flavor is definitely there and their salsas are just so delicious. Best chicken in town

Love the chicken, fries, and rice. Very good! They're quick and fast to make our food. Service is friendly and excellent. Ambiance is pretty good as well.

Rotisserie chicken is probably a weekly staple in my life so I'm always checking out some chicken place. This one was on my radar and finally went. I spent $60 cuz I wanted to try the family meal with every side (rice, beans, salad, fries) with the Miraflores in the end. Pretty darn good. Establishment very low key but know how to make chicken! My grandparents, sister and kiddo enjoyed it very much. Will be on my rotating chicken list lol.

Not as juicy as I assumed it would be from the recent video review online, I've had much much better chicken and I didn't have to go into a sketchy place that was 500° inside, but I'm not taking points off for the heat inside and interior/exterior/neighborhood. (Definitely don't take your girl here for a nice time together) The saving grace is the good outside flavoring on the chicken but again I've had way better so I would give this a 2/5 considering ONLY the chicken sides and sauces, if I were to rate the establishment as a whole, you don't wanna know. The guys in the kitchen were nice though, they let me wash my hands in the kitchen since someone was using the bathroom for an eternity.

My set up- salad was something I added!

Picked up my order and this place did not disappoint (no parking though, street parking is hard too). Got the family meal: whole chicken with rice and beans for $35. The chicken was super moist and flavorful, the rice wasn't all that but the beans were super delicious!! I can eat that with tortilla chips and I would be freaking happy! Would definitely come back here. Fast and friendly service.

    Full chicken and rice

Great food, and fairly priced. Very clean restaurant. I got the full chicken and rice, the rice was very good, i think they marinated the rice with spices. The chicken was perfect, breast was juicy and not dry. Great overall

Best Arroz Chaufa in Los Angeles hands down. This restaurant is a hidden treasure near downtown that specializes is Peruvian cuisine. The best thing about eating in or waiting for your food is you can see the staff at work. My usual is the Arroz Chaufa de Pollo which is basically fried rice with chicken and green onion. They serve it with a homemade verde sauce that gives the dish a gigantic splash of spicy flavor. They also serve a delicious rotisserie style chicken that's a must have as well. Please go enjoy this restaurant you will not be disappointed.

I've been coming to this restaurant for years. Food is delicious and people are attentive. The restaurant is always clean and airy. I've had all the menu at some point and I could eat here every day. Portions are good and price is reasonable. 10/10

Fresh cut fries! First timer beware these are just PLAIN CUT POTATO FRIES (not crispy, not salty) but they work

**Postmates order during covid** Initial note for honesty: We were craving Pollo a la brasa but they don't deliver thru any apps and this place did and looked very simlair so we gave it a shot. This is my review mostly IN COMPARISON TO POLLO A LA BRASA (abbreviated PALB below): Order: * Half chicken with double fries (4/5) * 2x chicken soup (aguadito) (4/5) Chicken is the same fire rotisserie style and great flavor. The one we got was a tad dry but I realize had I been next in line maybe I would have got a less dry chicken (it's a toss up). Most of our previous orders from PALB are consistently "not dry." Both places are good. Fries are IDENTICAL. Real potato, not super crispy or salty but still good. The main two difference between this place and PALB imo is the GREEN SAUCE and the SOUP. Personally I prefer the green sauce at PALB but that could be because it was the first I had and am just "used to it." The bass is the same but I think this sauce is a little less flavorful and flavor isn't as deep as PALB. Still good, just not as good to me. Second is the soup. This place gives you what seems like a full 1/4 chicken INSIDE the soup which is awesome!!! PALB on the other hand gives you the leftover chicken "pieces" which I so elegantly call "ugly chicken" and you may get random bones/hard bits in your soup. Defintely less (and lower quality) chicken in the PALB soup. However, I think the FLAVOR of the PALB soup is better. It taste more like the Peruvian aromatics and less like straight up chicken broth. Pollo el Brasero's soup is good but defintely tatses more like "American chicken noodle soup" (bc the brothy is just so "chickeny"). Lastly (this is totally personal preference) I like the PALB soup bc the veggies are cut smaller where Pollo el Braso has the bigger chunky veggies. If you like bigger veggies and a more chicken flavored broth then the Pollo el braso is totally up your alley!

Maracuya! Great peruvian juice that's worth trying out! Super good! (Passion fruit)

Happies is located in Arts District and I came here on a Sunday dinner and didn't have any problems with parking. But, I can see how it might be hard to find if you come during peak hours. The restaurant was pretty empty. First thing I noticed was that there were tons of employees but no one really said anything. Since there was no one ordering, they were all standing around. You can just order at the kiosk but I wanted to ask a few questions but was kind of left to fend for myself. I ended up ordering the chicken tenders and chicken tenders with salad. I thought the restaurant ambience was nice. And after waiting for about 10 minutes, my order came out. They gave me extra sauce but again no explanation on why the extra sauce was provided. As for the food, I thought the chicken was kind of bland. I expected some Sichuan style but hardly any spice on the chicken. Once of the sauces was a Sichuan chili crisp, which gave the chicken more taste. Maybe the chicken was bland because I was supposed to dip it in the sauces? Aside from that, the other sauces were average (ranch and sweet/sour sauce). The salad was definitely a huge miss. They didn't dress the salad properly and only put dressing on top, so I just got a bunch of romaine lettuce at the end. The best part of my meal was the fries, which was crispy and fresh. Also, the fries were pretty generous. I think that the food was just average. Probably will not come back here but glad I came to check out what the hype was about.

Was my first time here Friday brunch-ish. I had the fried chicken with two "fixins"…read more The fried chicken was delicious (just a delicate hint of 'hot' spice) and fried to juicy perfection. The coleslaw was tasty and crisp and the cornbread, soft and warm with a hint of spicy sweet flavor-- served with a whipped, slightly spicy-sweet flavored butter. The potato salad was ordinary. But 3 outta four exceptionally delicious ain't bad. I always feel I'm being particular but I always ask for one cup of Diet Coke with ice, one cup of water with ice, and one cup with just ice. My request was met with a smile. and our waitress monitored my classes for a quick refill when I was ready for it. Very friendly and professional service!

I had previously tried Fixins Soul Kitchen as part of a company luncheon and enjoyed it so much…read morethat I convinced my family to come with me because I wanted them to experience how great it was. Unfortunately, after our experience on the holiday evening, it may be a while before I give it another chance. First, I want to say that every staff member we encountered was genuinely pleasant. Our server was kind, apologetic, and clearly doing her best. The problem wasn't the attitude of the staff, it was that the restaurant was completely overwhelmed and simply not prepared for the holiday rush. Not ready at all. We were seated at 9:04 PM and didn't place our order until around 9:20 PM because it took that long just to get drink orders taken. Wanting to avoid any further delays, we ordered everything at once. Our meals arrived around 9:42 PM, which seemed reasonable, except my daughter's meal never came out. We informed our server and were repeatedly told it was "on the way." Fifteen minutes later, still nothing. We began sharing our food with our daughter so she could eat with us. We asked again and again, receiving apologies each time, but no meal. By 10:25 PM--more than an hour after ordering--my daughter's plate finally arrived. By then everyone else had already finished eating and were simply waiting while she rushed to eat alone. Thinking we were finally nearing the end, I requested our bill and ordered two slices of red velvet cake to go. Surely that wouldn't take long. Wrong again. While waiting, another large table from the East Coast asked to speak with a manager and described their own frustrating experience with delayed orders and lack of assistance. When the manager returned, I simply asked if we could please get our two slices of cake so we could leave. He apologized and went to retrieve them. It took 25 minutes to get 2 slices of cake and possibly longer if I had not stopped the manager. We finally walked out more than two hours after being seated, having spent most of that time waiting rather than enjoying our meal. To make matters worse, going a few minutes beyond the two-hour mark triggered another hour of parking charges, making an already expensive evening even more frustrating. I feel bad because I had built this place up so much to my family, and their first experience was disappointing. I know holiday crowds can be difficult, and I truly appreciate the staff members who remained courteous throughout the night, but management seriously underestimated the demand and the customer experience suffered because of it. I hope Fixins can address these issues because I'd like to remember the restaurant for its food and hospitality and not for spending two hours mostly waiting to be served. I had to take pics of my daughter with her head down on the table waiting on her food. Happy to share them privately.
