Hubby and I are familiar with Polly's Pies because of work. Which means that we see and hear about food allllll day, everyday, and even during our off-days, because that's our work. Trust me, it's not as awesome as it sounds. :( Anyways, at some point in time, we decided to start ordering stuff from Polly's Pies. Probably because of pies. I've noticed that while on diets, I tend to crave more sweets. Which is horribly stupid because of how many calories desserts have and, yet, it kind of makes sense because my body wants more calories on a diet. Booo.... Anyways, we've eaten here before, and we've done a lot of take out. Based on how the service has been, I'd rather do take out. I know people try and pull race card sometimes, but, man, I have no idea why the servers just ignore us. Is it the table? Is it cause we blend in with the walls? Ehh... so, yea, service hasn't been great when we're eating in. But, while their actual service isn't awesome, the actual servers have always been polite and professional. When we take our orders to go, it has been a bit "ehhhh" as well. Mainly because we still have to wait to pick up our order. Oh, and if you plan to pick up one of those Thanksgiving or Christmas banquet meals, please be aware that the food is cold, and you'll need to heat it up when you get home. In our situation, it wasn't ideal, but we got by. I wish there was some kind of fine print about it :( Food-wise, though, this is where Polly's shines a bit. We've had salads, sandwiches, dinner entrees, drinks, desserts, pastries. All of it has that wholesome feel that makes it very "Polly's". Like, you know it came from Polly's. The strawberry lemonade is a MUST have to get here, especially if you like strawberry lemonade. The salad, sandwiches and entrees are done very well where you feel very satisfied after eating it, and yet you don't feel gross. The desserts, well, their namesake shows their pride in that: pies are pretty good. Hubby really likes the custard and sunnylicious pies, while I tend to venture to anything. They also have this crazy pie shake where they will put an entire pie slice into your shake. Geezus... very tempted to try it, but it'll take up my entire count for a week. :x Haven't had their cinnamon rolls, but their biscuits are very good. Prices are okay. Reasonable, for the most part, based on the food. Based on the wait, meh. Parking is very easy, though the construction along the streets make it a little difficult to come here from the south end. So, overall, will be back, but only for certain things. read more

I never review, but this is just ludicrous. I just ordered the $16 fish and chips for delivery from Door Dash and this is what they sent. The fish pieces are ridiculously small. When I called Polly's to ask if they made a mistake, I was told no that's the pre-portioned size. I understand restaurants are short staffed and prices have risen, but Seriously?!?! read more

This is a family restaurant so, some times if can be loud. Others times it's very peaceful. I found the food is served hot and most of the time it come out fast. I've enjoyed every meal I've had here and the pies are great. They do have great cinnamon rolls. read more

We came for breakfast and they were fairly busy. We were seated quickly. I wish I could remember the name of the server because she was awesome. The food came out fast and it was delicious. I've never had their pies, but want to try some. The shopping center is kinda run down but it looks like they are starting to remodel a bit. I never knew the place was here. NEVER AGAIN. I work very close to Polly's pies so it's very convenient for all of us to get lunch, but in the last six months they've screwed up my order every time! Today they didn't even take the order correctly and I had to go in to fix it. I called before I went over so they could make the correct sandwich. Which they never did! I had to explain things to the manager twice before writing on the receipt what the actual problem was and what I needed and what I should be refunded. After waiting a long time to get my sandwich, because the girl on the phone never put my order in, I find that they gave me the wrong one and had to run back in. I have bread today. And it was ok. The hash browns tasted like they were cooked in burned oil. They weren't that good. But the reason I'm giving a review is because a waiter was serving another table and he drop a cup of fruit on the floor. Quantity: 3 pieces of turkey breast. Quality: Beautiful white, moist, and tender meat. Plus, has the Foster Farms stamp of approval--no hormones & steroids used. Flavor: Good lean turkey flavor. Add some gravy and you enhances the flavor of the turkey--making it heartier. Or add some of the cranberry sauce and you sweeten the turkey. It is a bit less than creamy which made it perfect for me. Flavor: Choo Choo ... welcome to Flavor Town, Yelpers! This is the best creamed spinach I have ever tasted--you have melted cheese, BACON, and spinach. Polly's Homestyle Stuffing - Excellent - Quantity: Approximately 2 cups (16 oz). Quality: Nice golden brown color with spongy texture. Flavor: The stuffing was savory--seasoned very well. You will notice the crisped green sage that is spread throughout the stuffing. Burp!! I am very satisfied. Now I just have to wait to see who invites me to Thanksgiving dinner next week. Darn, Inbox still empty. Polly's pies is always delicious, you can never go wrong with there hamburger slice of pie combo! (W/ sweet Maui onion :) there bakery items are heavenly and their back burner soup is a classic. My family has been coming to this Polly's location forever, my Grandpa was a regular at the counter sipping his coffee and my Grandma would have a pie from no where else. They recently redesigned this location w/ a clean beautiful retro vintage retro feel and they are still not done. Polly's has been my mothers favorite for years up until today. Our server never came a round after putting in food order, we never received drink refills and had to send one item backed due to being over cooked. When the pie slices came, they were completely flat and appeared pretty half of a real slice. I love this place! Everything tastes amazing! It's also a whole lot of food for a great value. I personally love breakfast anytime of day, so this is the perfect spot. It's way better than Denny's and IHOP. I also love that there's free coffee and samples of baked goods while you wait for a table. The service is also phenomenal. Peggy, our server, was warm, friendly, and attentive. When running our food to the table, she noted she was having the kitchen remake my egg whites because they were too oily. I appreciate the extra attention she gave to that. They're sausage links are so tasty too! I normally like bacon so that's saying a lot. I've been a long time customer of this location, and I don't know if I'll go back after today's experience. I say this after having a series of bad experiences at this location in recent visits. Today, it was just a friend and me for dinner before a movie. My friend ordered the mega grilled cheese, and I ordered the pot pie dinner. The restaurant was busy, but not overly crowded. We ended up waiting nearly 45 minutes for our food. It seemed as if customers who had arrived after us were being served first. To her credit, our waitress was apologetic and let us know that there was some sort of delay in the kitchen. It was the manager (I assume) who ended up finally bringing the food to our table so we could wolf it down and make our movie. The manager was apologetic, thanked us for our patience, and said that a lot of orders came in at once. He offered a free cookie but no discount on the meal. I didn't make an issue about it. Spotty service seems to be a continuing pattern with this location. It's not the first time I've waited an excessive amount of time for what should be a simple meal (it's grilled cheese not a soufflé) There have also been times where after finishing a meal I'll be left waiting 20 minutes or more for the check. Then there's often another wait when you get to the register to pay. Don't get me started on the ever shrinking portions in this inflationary environment (they say they serve a full scoop of ice cream with the pie, but I'm not convinced it's a full scoop anymore. Also not convinced it's a full slice of pie). I can't say what the problem is. My theory is that it might be getting harder to run a restaurant that provides a home cooked experience in an increasingly competitive and costly business environment. At the end of the day, I'm not an economist, I just want to eat in a reasonable amount at a reasonable price. I don't think this restaurant is up to the challenge anymore. read more

We met my brother & sister in law for breakfast today. We've met at quite a few Polly's as well as others over the years. This is a fairly new location. It's situated in a new strip mall, very nice location, as the restaurant is very nice itself. The menu it's the same as they all are, being a chain. Enjoyed our visit & catching up but that's where it all ended. Our waitress was a sweet young girl. However, a little out of her league. I had asked for coffee, took at least 10 minutes, we then asked for separate checks, then ordered. After maybe 10-12 minutes our food was served! Good so far, yet 3 out of 4 orders were wrong. After 10 minutes, we had everything straight. It all was very good. They came around asking for more coffee, perhaps desert & our check. Yep, a single check when we had started our ordering by asking for separate checks. Ok so after a few go around with items that didn't belong on either checks or items never received, they got it right. All n all, not a great experience. What can I say about Fullerton's Polly's that isn't harsh? Not much. This restaurant has been going down hill for some time. But here's my experience today 7/14/23, with my husband and granddaughter: First, we walk in and the manager and a wait staff person are behind the counter talking, talking, talking, look up and ignore us and talk some more. No hello, be with you in a minute but an attitude of "Oh, God, we have customers. Ugh." We are seated and given breakfast menus at 1:20 in the afternoon. I get up and approach our server and say we have breakfast menus. She says oh, would you like lunch menus? Duh! It goes down hill from there. We all ordered salads. It took 20 minutes to get our order. The chicken cutlet in my BBQ ranch salad is burnt and hard as a rock, blah, blah, blah. I remember back in the day when this Polly's was so busy you always had to wait for a table, the food was good and the wait staff was attentive and pleasant. But no more and so sad. Worst customer service I've ever received. Everyone working here seems half a sleep. The last time I order the food was cold. This time I ordered online and came to pick up. I couldn't get anyone's attention to help me. Then they said they didn't have my order even though I showed them the email confirmation. Everyone just stared at me blankly and offered no solutions. Husband and I went for dinner on a Saturday night. He had the Avocado and Friends sandwich- this is a meatless sandwich served on cracked wheat. Avocado (lots of it), alfalfa sprouts, cheese, tomatoes, mayo. With a side of fries. Was delicioso! He ordered the strawberry lemonade- I did not taste this but he loved it. Had big hearty chunks of strawberry! I had roasted chicken- 1/4 white, very moist, great flavor. Side of yukon gold mashed potatoes with chicken gravy- potatoes were good, gravy was a little bland, next time I will ask for turkey gravy. Homestyle stuffing- had good flavor but was a little dry as it did not come with gravy and I didnt ask for any. My meal came with a dessert and so we shared a slice of Banberry pie- awesomeness! I actually really like this homestyle restaurant! It is a better alternative to Carrows, Denny's, iHOP. The food is very tasty! their signature pie is amazing!! Prices are moderate, but portions are just enough. Their Banana, macadamia nut pancakes are ta-die for!!!! DELICIOUS!! I've also tried their signature chili, and tuna melt, both delicious. Cons: -Their online to go menu does not contain half the things they have on their dine-in menu, and from the cashier told me, they also contain half of the things they no longer serve. -Their entire online ordering process is outdated it seems like. B/c on a single occasion, I placed an online order, the girl accidentally gave my order to another girl that had a already left, luckily the girl checked her order before leaving the parking lot and came back so that we could swap orders. IN ADDITION to that mix-up, the server forgot to give me my polly's signature lemonade, which was almost $4. And because of the already hectic situation, I also forgot I had ordered it, by this time I was already at work, so I called and was placed on HOLD for 15 mins, hung up and called right back, the girl says hold please, I said NO! I was already on hold for over 10 mins and I have a complaint..she pretended to listen, an agreement was made for me to come back when I got off work to pick it up. 5:30pm rolls around, and I completely forgot about it, I called again, the manager "Lisa" picks up, and I just told her I would like a refund instead, since I have no use for the drink anymore. She told me their online ordering system is complicated and it would be better for me to come in and redeem the drink on my next visit. Lisa was very friendly, so I agreed since I knew I would be back in the future. However, I don't like the fact that she couldn't just refund my card.
