We live near Polly's in Fullerton and have been there many, many times since it opened decades ago. After dinner last night, this may be last time we eat there. Again, the restaurant was too cold. As we had this experience last week also, I prepared with a flannel shirt for myself and a sweatshirt hoodie by my partner. We addressed the cold temperature with wait staff and they all (last three visits) agreed it was cold but blamed Corporate Policy. This particular restaurant is known to cater to seniors but as there was not one customer when we arrived at 8:15 PM perhaps other seniors don't like a chilling experience as in the last year we have observed a drop in patrons, (perhaps the downsized menu has also discouraged others). I observed the thermostat by the front door on the way out - set at 70, which is just a way to have the AC on continuously which contributed to overcooling on a 75 degree evening. read more

My sister ordered 4 pies online and I went to pick up the next day. 5 people nobody could find prepaid order. Someone finally found after 15 minutes waiting. Went back to get pies. Nobody came out after another 15 minutes. Complained and another went in and didn't come out 10 minutes. Asked for manager nobody came. Asked to cancel order and get refund. Finally all four started working on it. After another 15 minutes 4 pies came out. No other customers so not sure what everybody standing there is doing. Never got any manager. They were mad now and pushed pies towards me aggressively and walked . Away. No apology for the one hour wait. Got home and order was wrong as two pies where not what ordered or on printout from computer when they found order. So unbelievable the incompetence and poor service. Would never go there again. This is the worst service I ever received anywhere before. I think they need to fix something about how they operate. Everybody seems so confused. read more

Came here for my birthday lunch and had amazing service. The food was nice and hot and my free pie was delicious and creamy. I love coming here. Everybody is so friendly and so nice. Yes, I've hit a new low. I ordered a margarita at POLLYS PIES. The universe tried to intervene when I realized there was lipstick on the clean cup they gave me but I insisted. Told the waiter and they brought out a new margarita in a lipstick-free cup. Yes, I downed the ethanol-tasting and odd-colored drink. The breakfast sandwich and the potatoes were good though. My family and I came in for breakfast/lunch today 1/10/25. We got sat down pretty quickly as there weren't many ppl there. 10-15 minutes and no one comes by to ask us for our drink order or anything. My husband walks up to the front to ask to place our order since we did see the table next to us get seated and had their order taken immediately by their waitress. Our waitress finally comes to our table, she was friendly. She takes our drink order and returns with our drinks. My coffee mug had a full red bottom lipstick imprint on it, I smear it just to check if I was actually seeing what I was seeing. The last time we were there I got a brownie to go. They have every pie and other baked goods but I have not eaten one of the brownies they have. We were at Goodwill next door and thought we'd pop in and pick up a slice (or two) to take home. What should have been a quick trip turned into an unnecessarily long experience. We ordered a slice of the chocolate cream pie and their seasonal bumbleberry cinnamon roll. As takeout, they don't look too appetizing, tbh but see for yourself in the attached pics. What should have been a quick trip turned into a 30 min ordeal. For starters, the server helping us accidentally gave our order to the woman in front of us and then had to recut us new pieces. Fine, but he kept going to the back, for I don't know what and it was just really confusing. Also, as you can see from the pics, the knife used to cut the chocolate cream pie still had some berry residue on it from a previous use. I actually don't blame this too much on the server, he was clearly stressed/frazzled. However, the manager walked by at least three times and never checked in to see if I had been helped or to see why I was still standing there. They didn't check with the server to see if they needed help, nor did the other servers just walking around (it wasn't busy). It came across as this poor kid hadn't been trained and was just left to his own devices. How does that set up your team for success? Walked over to Polly's after my visit to Planet Fitness. It's always tempting to order something sweet here but I exercised some real willpower. I chose the ABC omelet (sans the mushrooms) with the fruit cup on the side and some coffee. I thought my breakfast was really good and the portions were satisfying. My server was very polite and checked on me regularly which I appreciated. If Covid protocols are important to you, Polly's is pretty by the book (employees wear masks and gloves, sanitize in between customers, social distancing etc.). First let's talk about the pies. They are all wonderful and delicious. Their most famous one is their "ban berry" which is basically banana cream pie topped with fresh strawberries. That one is usually available anytime. Their other great own is their chocolate silk which is a pie of just chocolate mousses. That one you have to call ahead. Another great pie is their fresh peach pie that's only available for a few weeks in the summer. Do ask for that one. Now the restaurant itself. It's mostly diner food. Sandwiches soups and salads. Nothing fancy just well made. They also have a nice breakfast menu as well. I much prefer to come there for lunch. I'll get a nice sandwich and a slice of pie. read more
