Excellent service and the food was really good too. I went in over the weekend and I had my dog with me. The manager made an exception and allowed us to sit outside and eat with our dog. A few of my favorites were : 1: Kona It was vegetables such as broccoli, celery, peas, carrots, pineapple, etc. With teriyaki sauce and squares of sirloin steak. 2: Asian noodles chiken salad Two different dressing Sam Choi dressing was for the lettuce only Asian dressing ( sesame oil ) was for the noodles and convination of vegetables broccoli, celery, peas, and carrots,only Lettuce was placed on the bowl first, and then the noodles and then on top of the noodles wontons, mandarins, nuts, etc. 3: Kalua pork 4: Macadamia nut fish 5: BBQ Ribs 6: Rotisserie Chiken 7: Chili's ( beans) 8: Dinner rolls Anyway, all that is long gone. The server that helped us out is being here for 16 years, and we told her that we also worked here and we shared our thoughts and memories at the same time we ask here for all the missing good items on the menu and she told us that the company changed after the original owners passed and the sons didn't have any interest on the business that today is a corporation that manages the business for the family but all the stuff that one time was great to work for the company and was very good as far as the menu is gone. Going back to today visit Asian salad 5 out of 10 No flavor on the dressing, the cucumber and the Mango just dosen't blend with the rest of the flavors. After church, we visited Polly's Bakery with our family. One of our children has autism, and it's important for us to be seated in a quieter, less central area. We kindly explained this to the manager and requested a different table, but our request was denied. Unfortunately, we had to leave as this made it challenging for us to enjoy our visit. BLANDEST. FOOD. EVER. Ordered the creamy caliente pasta and it seriously tasted like boiled pasta with cheese and bell peppers. Loaded mac and cheese was ok but again, flavorless. Prime rib dip was better but overall disappointed in the food. It genuinely tastes like little to no seasoning was used. They offered me a free pie after my review, I responded with Thank You but declined I was not looking for a free pie. Went back a 2nd time and it was the same, it taste good however they lack on presentation. Tried a 3rd time 2/22/23 for my sons bday I told the person I picked up my order, I'm paying over $20+ It should be made better, his reply was we haven't changed the recipe, I didn't really know how to explain so I said whoever makes the pies needs take a little pride in what your making it's not like it's a $7 pie although that shouldn't matter. Don't judge me but I never knew about Polly's pies until my brother brought it over for thanksgiving, and my oh my was I hooked. He brought some kind of pumpkin pie and banana cream pie and they were delicious. Nice flaky crust and not overwhelmingly sweet. Before Polly's pies the best banana cream pie I've had is from Marie calendar's. But when I tasted Polly's banana cream pie I can confidently say that their banana cream is hands down the BEST. I called to see what they had available, drove down there as soon as I hung up the phone and came out w 3 pies lol. Banana cream, ban berry, and pecan pie. ALL were bomb. This is the nail in the coffin. Today I took my family to eat at Polly's Pies to meet up with family. I should've known the service I was about to receive was going to be bad when we had an excessively long time to look at the menu to decide what we wanted to drink and eat. I wish I could say that's where it started and ended too. After our waiter finally showed up and took our orders, they brought everyone's drink except mine. At that time, someone from our party asked for more sugar for their coffee. It wasn't until I stopped our waiter 10 mins later to ask for my drink and the sugar. And still, it didn't stop there. They brought our food out within a decent time, except not everyone's order was put in. My youngest son and wife's food didn't come until 10 mins later. And if it stopped at just the service, I could write this whole experience off. My sons egg wasn't fully cooked. My eggs were slightly green throughout and my 2-3-1 order was swapped somehow with a weekday special that someone else in my group ordered. Normally it would be an easy fix. But, they didn't order the same thing as me. So that wasn't going to work. We sent my sons egg back and asked for scrambled. What we got back was just an easy over egg instead. I can only guess they just took his egg and flipped it. We had to ask for our muffin, toast and side of fruit. The muffin wasn't the right one and don't bother asking for a refill. The waiter wasn't around enough for that to happen. We finally got our check from someone else and went to the front to pay because we had already been waiting long enough from when we finished. They weren't too willing to let us pay at the front but there's no way I was going to wait any longer. This was my last experience here. It's sad that they have gone so downhill. Pouring syrup on these pancakes, getting soggy every minute they're wetter. Coffee and vanilla ice cream creamer got me like damn, this couple goes so well together. Nothing stood out as great but their pumpkin muffin was good. Hash browns came out super burnt, scrambled eggs were bland and bacon was average. Those blueberry pancakes were alright, definitely had better. They were pretty fluffy but absorbed so much syrup too quick that I had to constantly pour some to taste it. Kids enjoyed the pancakes of course, can't really mess that up but they had to make the face on the pancake with the fruits, it doesn't come that way like in the picture. Pies seemed good but didn't get a chance to try considering it took centuries to get served and get the check so couldn't waste more time. Wasn't the worst but not the best; food was lacking. I think the food is always very tasty. However I had breakfast the other day there and I was disappointed at how much they have cut their serving size back. I can never eat a whole meal so I order based on what I can reheat. I ordered an omelet with hash browns. Normally I would have had about half left, but I ate the whole thing. It must have been a 2 egg omelet. The hash browns were 4 bites!! It was good but a very small amount with a lot of plate there. The service was impeccable!! Limited gluten free breakfast options are the usual, but this menu listed a veggie scramble which comes with an Udis gluten free bread roll. Pathetic pile of flat eggs with overcooked vegetables...AND the waitress waited until she finally brought our plates to inform us "the chef is unable to located the gluten free rolls. what would you like to substitute?" Well, since I already asked if the gluten free roll was the only gluten free bakery style option, nothing really. The over cooked, grey looking hashbrowns were as subpar as the scramble. The other entree ordered was cinammon roll french toast (soggy with the egg mixture it was soaked in to call it french toast) with 2 eggs over easy (whites not cooked so gross and snotty) and 2 strips of bacon that were rock hard. Sat on the patio for outdoor dining this past weekend. Had no idea that they had a patio. Other than a little ash and soot in the air, from the local wildfires, it was nice out there. Great friendly service, starting with the host that seated us and suggested the Macadamia chicken. And the chicken was REALLY good!! We appreciate how hard the waiters and waitresses are working under the circumstances. It can't be easy, running around in the heat, wearing masks and gloves, waiting on tables outside. You should see the waiter carrying that big tray of food all the way out to the outer patio area! Kudos to you buddy!! This used to be our favorite place to eat breakfast, sadly the service has become so poor that we will not be returning. We came in on a Saturday at around 10:20AM, understanding that there would be a wait to be seated and served. We were seated at our table at 10:45AM. Not one single time did we get acknowledged by our supposed waitress, seriously didn't even say hi and let us know she would be a while. 20 min later another server approached us asking for our drink order, he reluctantly took our food order at the same time. After that moment, we were not acknowledged by any other server in the restaurant. We decided at 11:40AM to just leave, at which point a manager noticed us and asked what was happening, I explained the situation to him and received a lack luster apology in return. I know places can get busy, but somehow they were able to pull aside the majority of the serving staff to sing Happy Birthday to a guest, not once, but twice while we sat there without ever being acknowledged by our server. Polly's Pies is one of my favorites! I love their pies! I will say that their food is pretty good, too, but I really come for the pies - boysenberry to be exact. The boysenberry pie is really delicious. The crust is buttery and flaky with the perfect texture. The filling is just right - sweet and gooey, but not too sweet that you can't enjoy it. I typically get mine with ice cream, but their home made whipped cream is also amazing! It's fresh and light. The service here is hit or miss. It really depends on which server you get. Some are super sweet and will make sure that your taken care of while others take forever to take an order and won't check back to see if you need a refill. The place itself has a nice "country home" feel. They have little mason jar candles and packs of coffee and cookies for sale all over the front waiting area. I personally feel that they could keep the place where the tables are a bit more tidy and maybe install something over the entrance to keep flies out. Other than that, the place is great if you have a sweet tooth or want a hearty home style meal. read more
