Tartufata Pizza - NO TOMATO SAUCE cremini mushroom, mozzarella, truffle olive oil, and shaved parmigiano.
Sheri S.

It was a lovely day outside, and I needed to grab something quick to eat for lunch, but forgot I'm not in NYC, where I can just grab a quick slice to go. I arrived and took advantage of the great patio seating and the slower pace of life. Ordered the Tartufata Pizza - NO TOMATO SAUCE cremini mushroom, mozzarella, truffle olive oil, and shaved parmigiano. It was decent and satisfied my appetite, but nothing too memorable.

A local staple. The pizza is always on point. Great crust, which is a big win for me! It's a small spot with limited seating inside and out. Also keep in mind this is downtown so you're looking at street parking. Our waitress was great, but it also took some time for the host stand to acknowledge us. Overall, you'll be pleased with the quality of the food.

I love Pomo! Their pizza is delicious. Neapolitan style. I've tried a few and their delicious. Decent happy hour specials for drinks and apps. We stopped by there on Fri and they had some Valentine's drink specials. My friend had the strawberry one and it was delicious. The bartenders there are always so friendly Love the vibe there.

Pomo Pizzeria in downtown Phoenix is so yummy! We had such a great experience at Pomo Pizzeria. Great, super friendly service. Yummy food, with so many options for everyone. On this particular night, we were a party of 4 and shared a bunch of stuff: Caesar salad, salami board, calamari, meatballs, zucchini chips, gnocchi, and a pizza. Everything was tasty and delicious, except the zucchini chips. I thought it was going to be more like actual friend zucchini, you know, nice and crispy. No, it was shaved zucchini and then deep fried. It tasted like burnt tissue paper...lol! Everything else though, YES PLEASE and THANK YOU!

Great Italian Cusine with an amazing Happy Hour! Location: Located in downtown Phoenix, this location has indoor and outdoor seating. Parking: We are staying near by and walked a few blocks to get here. The walk was pretty easy, no super busy roads or crazy alley ways. There are parking lots nearby; however, I would recommend reading all signage. Not sure if they are owned by the restaurant. Ambiance: This place is a chill vibe and has a changing table, which tells me that it is welcoming to families and kid-friendly. Thank you Stefano for thinking about us families out there! Service: We got there a bit early and was greeted with a smile and a quick convo with a gentleman who was sweeping outdoors. We later walked in and had great chats with the young lady serving Gelato and Hannah behind the bar. She made some great recommendations for us. Food: We had the focaccia which was lovely and the meatballs. I will say, I am usually not a big fan of meatballs because they are mostly soggy, but this one was delish. We of course had to wash it down with a nice glass of wine. All of the above was on the HH menu! We went with a friend who is from Italy and he raved about the food. The Gelato... They have so many flavors and they are sooooo smooth and creamy! I had a hard time choosing which one I wanted because they were all so good! We plan to go back and try more of the menu!! Looking to get more of that great service and food!

I sent the email the business owner requested and received an error and a kickback message that the email address doesn't exist.

Haven't been here in a year and decided to try the pasta instead of the pizza--lesson learned! The pasta was decent but chewy in spots, and the sauce lacked flavor. If you come here, definitely stick to the pizza--it's amazing! Steer clear of the pasta dishes very lackluster

Wow!!!! So at first I was not happy because of parking and I was ready to go somewhere else. So glad I decided to keep looking because this place is worth it. The staff amazing! Super friendly and welcoming. The food was absolutely delicious. The dough was perfectly cooked and the ingredients were so fresh. The bread had the right amount of crunch to softness. This place is an absolute must try: everything was perfectly cooked and so good. Will definitely be back and try some of their other items. My husband said the Nutella torta (cake) was like a delicious brownie on steroids. He doesn't like Nutella but he couldn't stop eating this.

This place was absolutely wonderful. The parking was a bit troublesome, but that's normal for the area. Walking in, the decor definitely gave the fancy modern pizzeria feel. The service was great too, very prompt and quick. As for the food, I ordered the Pomo pizza thinking it would be good, figuring it has the name of the place on it. Extremely impressed, would definitely recommend this place if you're in the area and really want pizza

Popped in for a quick lunch. Order a few pies and the ricotta honey focaccia app. We sat outside on the patio to enjoy the weather. The food was excellent and came out fast and warm. Service was a little slow but all and all it was a good visit.

I've come here quite a lot for happy hour martinis after exam days. They have some of my favorite espresso martinis in town (the cannoli, specifically, is to die for). My favorite pizza is the nirvana which is a summer special . This location seems a little less updated than their Scottsdale location but overall it's still good.

This is a place where both their pizzas and pastas are made with absolute excellence. All of the pizzas are personal pizzas. My brother and I tried a pasta and a pizza and shared. The service was fairly good. What was a neat touch was that I let them know it was my birthday and they allowed me to have a free gelato. I loved how the pizza was packed full of ingredients. The pasta was fine tuned with amazing flavor. The gelato was smooth and creamy. Our bill for two came out to $55.79 (includes tax and tip). Finally, I noticed that most people were not paying the parking meters and according to the employees, those meters outside are never checked so consider it free public parking.

Let's see how it goes

Exploring downtown Phoenix I came across Pomo. Decided to give it a go. The restaurant was packed so I was able to squeeze in at the bar. The staff was all friendly and the bartender was great at explaining the choices I had for dinner. I went with one of their pies and it was ok. I definitely needed some more ingredients for my tasting. I found myself leaving a lot of crust due to minimal cheese added to it. In the bites that did have a little sauce and cheese I did enjoy and were good. If I'd to come again I'd ask for some modifications.

How is this possible? And the reports kept coming. Bronx native Chris Bianco had done the impossible, expanding authentic pizzas beyond the Mississippi River. The accolades and awards were endless, the critics raved, and even documentaries were produced. So we all started putting this place on our bucket list. I finally made the pilgrimage in 2026 to this mecca, this icon, this uber-famous destination. And it was worth the hype! The most beautiful red sauce complements the perfectly stretchy fresh mozzarella. Since I opted for the Sonny Boy, I was treated to high quality slices of salami and whole olives. The crust is thin, charred in various spots, slightly crispy on the bottom but still properly chewy. It is a thing to behold, ranking right up there with the best pizzas I've had in Italy and the states! I wish the olives were halved and not whole so they wouldn't roll off my pizza. But I didn't care. I even violated my germaphobic code for the first time in decades and snatched an olive off the table, it was that good! Because of its location inside Heritage and Science Park, there is a mandatory $10 parking charge for valeting plus a recommended tip. There is no validating inside the restaurant. But the surprise surcharge was also worth it!

The setting does a lot of the work: a large, charming garden with plenty of outdoor seating that gives the whole place a cozy, almost village feel. The kitchen is usually the highlight. With an Italian chef behind it, everything leans fresh and well executed--pizzas consistently shine, and the salads are just as strong. This time, though, the bolognese was a miss. The pasta was clearly overcooked, which stood out given how reliable the food typically is--felt more like an off night than the norm. The wine-by-the-glass list is solid and approachable, and the many awards feel well deserved overall. A diverse staff adds to the cosmopolitan yet relaxed atmosphere. Even with the misstep, Cibo holds its place as one of the better all-around dining experiences downtown.

You can also get a whole pie of your choice. They grate fresh parm on all the slices which I thought was a nice touch. The girl at the register seemed very knowledgeable about all the pizzas and gave us lots of details and recommendations which we appreciated. First we got the green, di Parma, and the Phoenix. The green has pistachios and fresh arugula on it, I thought the overall flavor was too sweet and the pistachios weren't crush enough. The Phoenix was good, very honey forward and overall the flavor didn't stick out to me. The di Parma was a cheese pizza with procuttio and ricotta, overall a little plain to me. I think they all would've tasted better hot, but I understand that's not super realistic for a slice shop. For our second order we got the vodka sauce slice, which was for sure my favorite. First of all it was piping hot, and that elevated the whole experience. I thought the sauce was so flavorful and savory, and the basil made a perfect bite. I would go back for a whole pie of this! I really liked the prices here, we got dinner for less than $25 for 2. I wouldn't mind coming back to try some other slices and get a pie of the vodka!
