All fresh and delicious ingredients. The kale and romain cesar salad is to die for, and the Pomo lemon drop will knock your socks off! The place has a good vibe- very modern, chic, with good lighting, and an open space to check out the pizza while it's being made.. but the pizza fell flat for me. I ordered the Capricciosa pizza and it was underwhelming, as the crust was not this nuanced rustic type of finish that I've had in other wood-fired pizzas, and the sauce had no pop of freshness, and the overall ingredients on the top did not create an inviting look or smell. The smell was actually the first thing I noticed when I received the pizza.. it smelled off but the pizza tasted ok. Maybe they have other dishes they're known for, but for pizza, I would not recommend. My friend had the gnocchi though which she also said was sub-par. Their affogato dessert is yummy though! Was craving Italian food and after reading many reviews I decided to eat here. The reviews raved about the Happy Hour, the pizza, and the pasta being one of the best they've had. I can attest to this. However, what had my attention was the atmosphere/the vibe (and the bartender). I sat at the bar from 5:30 to even past closing 9:30 and watched all the drinks being shaken for customers. Made me wanna shake something for him LOL. all jokes aside, the drinks I had are listed below I was recommended the Lemon Drop which I was sketchy about because I don't like the shot Lemon Drop, but it was such a cute purple color! Great vibes for Happy Hour. The pasta was also recommended not my first choice but 8.5/10. Also ordered a pizza toward the end of the night, GREAT 9/10. Came to this place for a quick bite during lunch on a Monday. It was pretty busy and got even busier once we got seated. We just ordered one pizza and it was really good and tasty. It had a brick oven taste but was made perfectly. The staff was great and friendly. However, it took us a really long time to get our pizza and drinks refilled. I think it bothered us because we were in a time crunch, but if that wasn't the case the ambiance was really nice and I could see us staying for a while. They have a lot of events and different specials during the week so next time we go, we will be sure to check it out. All in all was a good experience, and next time we go back we will check it out and try some different things on the menu. read more

Update to my review. You must try the meatballs. (Extra sauce) the flavor hits you and the grows. The bite is a Michelin star worthy bite - meaning up to the bite and the experience after is a five star. We came back per request of owner. Hands down a great, caring to deliver a great experience, hard working owner. They did recognize us but when we walked in the first impression was genuine before they recognized us as the low star bad experience reviewer. I'm so happy to change my review and be part of the 4.5 star experience that so many others have had. The food is excellent. Truly excellent. We have come back twice more and the experience is where it should be. Exceptional. I'm honestly not sure why, the food was good enough but the whole experience just left me with the feeling of "it was fine". We ordered the Italian board, bruschetta bites and calamari (from the happy hour menu) and the Margherita pizza. The Italian board was yummy and the Margherita pizza was delightful... they were the clear winners. However, the bruschetta bites were disappointing. The presentation was beautiful but some basic seasoning, like salt and a little acid, would have made this perfect. I didn't try the calamari but my wife said that it was good- not overly breaded or greasy. Overall- it was neither my best or worst experience, but I won't feel the urge to return. read more

My wife and I went to Pomo for a date night and we noticed that Pomo has received a lot of positive reviews, so we figured we should try this place out for our first time. Pomo appeared to be busy and we thought this place would live up to the hype that we thought. We ordered our drinks and they were "okay" (personal opinion) and when we ordered our food (Lasagna & Gnocchi) it wasn't at the right temperature. We enjoy our food hot or what we think to be at a fresh temperature, but it was closer to cold than it was warm. So we felt that the food could've been made earlier and gave us leftovers or reheated food... not sure. Not impressed. I arrived right as they opened (11AM) and was the first order of they day. My pizza was completely black on the bottom but the top was undercooked. The pizza was so soggy, it couldn't support the toppings. When I tried to pick up a slice, it just collapsed into a giant mess. Tried Pomo for the first time today! What the heck took me so long?! Wow, what an amazing foodie experience. The appetizers were delicious and the pizzas were out of this world amazing. Finally! A Pizza worth craving. I've had a hard time trying to find a pizza that tasted exactly like one of my favorites back in the East coast and Pomo's got it! I had the pesto and tomato pizza and it was perfection. The service was quick and friendly, the place has a nice feel to it. Pomo is delicious Italian food. The Margherita is my all time favorite pizza, and they do it right at Pomo. Properly sauced, light and delicious crust, with a perfect lil char on the bottom, and the perfect amount of mozz... The Panna Cotta is a perfect example of what I love about European desserts. My mother is from Switzerland, and desserts I grew up with are not sugary sweet. This Panna Cotta came topped with a berry puree, which had a slight acidity that paired well with the smooth, creamy richness of the vanilla bean. Definately a go to dessert when your having a week, want to celebrate or just because. Now keep in mind this is a smaller restaurant, and is a very popping downtown spot; so you may want make a reservation. If your having a cocktail at a bar, and decide you don't want to cook, or wait for seating....well fret not my friends, and use the door-dash app to place a pickup order on your way home.
