I can't say enough nice things about Pomodoro in Ft. Lee. Jerry our waiter is always attentive & friendly. He gives perfect service. The food is always superb. I always enjoy the experience! Place is a byob. Simple and comfortable. Outside and inside dining. You also can take out. Great business & I highly recommend!

I was feeling Italian the other night and, since we don't have a go to local Italian restaurant, we decided to try out Pomodoro. They were having a special for 10% off on all items. I preferred the manicotti (which I haven't had in years) and my husband ordered chicken park pizza. With our order, they gave us a side of bread and butter, dipping sauce for the pizza and a small little Italian cookie. We ordered directly from the restaurant and the food was delivered on time. My husband really enjoyed his pizza. He says this will be his new pizza spot from now on. My manicotti was good too but I don't think I enjoyed it to the extent my husband liked his pizza. It tasted generic. The cheese on top was just like a slice layered on. The portion size was good and it felt light. I didn't need a siesta after eating it. Overall, this was a 3.5 experience.

Absolutely annoyed with their take out service. Their food may be good, but I can't believe they would use such flimsy to go containers and don't properly close them. I ordered two pastas with protein (so I spent a bit more) and a pizza only for the pasta to not be closed properly and half of it fell in the bag. What a waste.

Rating for the pizzas only. 4.5 for the artichoke pizza and 4 for the chicken parm pizza

Quaint Italian spot hidden off the beaten road. All Italian spots are pretty much the same. You can judge them by their certain style of cooking. How tender the chicken francese is. How tasty their sauce is. The complimentary table bread. The dessert options. They do brag about their brick over pizza and it was good. It had a clean taste to it, not oily or heavy. This place similar to all other spots, but what made me feel this place stood out than others was the tasty and tangy marinara sauce. It did have a unique taste unlike others. It's very tough finding the right tomato sauce in my opinion. So if you're in the mood for Italian and a unique tasty red sauce experience then try this place out.

BYOB is the major reason we visit this place. The ambience is right for a night out for wine. The review is only for the chicjen francese and 2 slices that we ordered. Their appetizers & pizza is quite decent, but honestly, other dishes are just OK. Better order a couple of appetizers & a pie to spend the night with some wine. Had chicken francese which came some potatoes and veggie. The sides were cooked just about right, not overcooked, not mushy at all. Could have added a bit more salt. But, the chicken was too salty. The two slices of pizza - Hawaiian & white - my Hawaiian was the cheese pizza with pieces of ham and pineapple just thrown on it. Not blending at all. Hope to have a better experience next time. Or will just order in from Donna's at Palisades Park.

Old Monaco Inn off Leetsdale. Cozy Italian setting. Extensive menu and food was delicious. Snappy service and plan to return!

My order that I relied for my family to have dinner and was canceled by arrogant @ssholes without any notice

Ordered a family meal and these jerk offs canceled the order with no courtesy call after we waited for our food. No customer urgency, no customer service and thus this honest review. Bad business practice

Not bad! I recently had the Supreme Pie ($16.95) delivered and delivery was on time and the pizza was delicious! Really liked the combination of toppings and the freshness. Quantity was just right as well. Never felt so lucky that I live within a few blocks! On a more recent pick-up order during Coronavirus lockdown, I walked up (weather was nice so everyone was getting some air) and the owner came out with menu to take our order curbside, being cautious to keep social distance. We ordered the meatball parm sandwich ($8.95) and Tortellini alla Panna ($15.95) to go. The meatball parm sandwich was as delicious and full as can be with robust marinara sauce and hefty meatballs. And I really enjoyed the Tortellini. It's creamy with perfect al dente bite that I really enjoyed chewing. Being a cream pasta obv. it's tad bit on heavier side though I don't mind. (You might do well to have seltzer water pairing!) Only thing is the price - I think it's a tad bit expensive for the smaller quantity given that there were just handful of tiny strips of prosciutto and the rest was just cheese and flour. Maybe give 20% more qty or knock down price by $2? Not a huge complain but a thought. I'm glad to have a quality italian joint nearby. Keep it up!

The place has been nicely updated and kept fresh with tasteful renovations without loosing its local pizzeria restaurant touch. Service was delivered with a smile and it was good to hear about the original owners Mr and Mrs Franco. My son and daughter had to have a NY pizza in NY - but stated this was better and without the hefty cost and the crazy wait My personal favorites from the past are the cheese pizza and the mussels, and the sausage and pepper heroes This time only was able to eat the pizza since we had already had dinner, honestly it tasted great . Unsure when I'll be back but will definitely make a stop. For reference had gone to school in NYC for 9 years and had plenty of Rays or other NY pizza and Franco's was always my goto. And currently living in Az -- I have enjoyed pizzeria bianco but know what it is like to miss some good old fashioned pizza Thank you Mr and Mrs Franco for the memories

The menu isn't massive, but they cover every category with extreme precision and do it really well. Seafood, pasta, veal, chicken, and all the classic appetizers you can think of from stuffed artichokes, zucchini blossoms, and house-made burrata. The ambiance is old-school Italian in the best way: timeless, romantic, and cozy. It works just as well for an intimate date night as it does for a small group dinner. Bonus points for being BYOB. We ordered the veal marsala and the seafood pomodoro. The veal was pounded to perfection and swimming in a ridiculously addictive sauce. The seafood pasta was cooked perfectly and loaded with fresh shrimp, clams, and mussels and you can taste the quality and care put in the food. Meals are served with a salad to start, and you can expect to spend around $35 per entrée, which feels more than fair for the quality. We were genuinely impressed and were treated with a lot of attention throughout the meal. The concept of the restaurant being run by two italian twins was honestly so sweet. Highly recommend if you're looking for classic Italian done right without trekking into the city.

Typically not a big "restaurant at a hotel food guy" but the experience and food here we're both pretty good. There's a nice choice of seating if you prefer a bar experience or a sit down restaurant experience. We chose to sit down restaurant experience. Our waiter was very friendly and quite attentive. After mulling over the menu we were set for dinner. My colleague had the fillet mignon, medium rare with mushroom and Bolognese sauce. I got the rigatoni with eggplant. The dinner starts out with two rolls and butter. Be sure to ask for a choice of rolls as it appears, there are three or four different options to choose from. They were OK, not warm, a bit on the stale side. My colleague enjoyed the steak saying it was tender and filling. It was juicy and had a lot of flavor to it. The overall feedback was positive. My rigatoni was Al Dante, perfect! The red sauce was just right. Not too sweet nor too tangy. There was a fair amount of eggplant and balls of mozzarella cheese. I added Parmesan cheese sprinkled on the top. Every bit of my meal was eaten. Not all meals include a salad. The filet did include a salad. I had to get a side salad. The salads were a bit small and lacking variety but overall OK. Overall this restaurant is a good choice.
