Great place to have breakfast and brunch with the family. Food was outstanding in my opinion. The service was great and the atmosphere was cool it was like an old dinner feel.

Live, laugh, love! This place has such a great old-fashioned feel and a huge variety of options. I usually get the chicken fried chicken, and it tastes homemade rather than premade, which I love. The mac and cheese is my personal favorite, and even the restrooms have a cool Fallout-style theme. I come here every two or three weeks even though I live in Dallas--it's worth the hour and a half drive every time.

Great hamburger steak with grilled onion and gravy! Texas toast, green beans and tater tots. I highly recommend. We only had water. My friend enjoyed grits and scrambled eggs. The young man who was our waiter did an amazing job. Efficient and kind. This was a busy lunch time. Restrooms were clean and food came to us in a timely manner. Hot and fresh...delicious.

Such a gem in the middle of nowhere! We were roadtripping to Galveston and I used yelp to find a lunch spot. This place came up, so we gave it a try. We all had delicious root beer floats, and various sandwiches and salads. The decor was funky and fun and included a neon banana light, an old fashioned TV that still works, and a soda fountain bar with real pennies in a cool design. Check this place out!!

Legit old school, small town diner. My half way feeding spot for the Dallas-Houston run. Good Tex Mex, sandwiches and daily specials.

Took a really long time to place order and the food is bland. Better to go to an ihop or Denny's. Much better food and service

Th menu has so many great options, so I went with the special, chicken fried chicken with white gravy, mashed potatoes, okra and toast. I am not a huge gravy person so got it on the side. The proportions were the perfect size, not too little and definitely not overwhelming. Everything was excellent and cooked to perfection. I had the sweet tea and it was wonderful as well. My co worker had the fish plate, she is a connoisseur of fish and said it was wonderful. The booths were a good size and customers are able to write with chalk paint pens to leave their mark. The environment was relaxing and fun at the same time. Although the space is smaller, the speed of service and the wonderful staff made it feel big. Will definitely return when I travel through Teague!

The salad stuff was fresh and the dressings were all good. On the hot side of the buffet they had chicken friend steak, ham, turkey and dressings, bbq brisket and friend chicken. First, the service was excellent, I believe our server was named Presley. Very kind, always checking on us and keeping our water and tea full. On the buffet, my dad enjoyed the salad he had, but was surprised at the little variety offered that day. He said last time he was there with my brother there was more to choose from. He then got the fried chicken, which was greasy and barely any chicken on the thigh. I tried to find a drumstick but it was just breasts, thighs and a few wings. He did like the chicken fried steak and mashed potatoes. As for the fried okra, you have to eat it fresh. It is sitting under a heat lamp just makes it soggy and slimy. I ordered 4 vegetables a la carte which came out to be as much as the all you can eat buffet. First, their onion rings are OUTSTANDING! So is their homemade ranch. What was disappointing was the green beans, they definitely came out of a can and were heated. At $3.99 I expected fresh. There may have been a small piece of onion in it. Not sure if that was how it was cooked or if it fell in from another dish. The black-eyed peas were tasty. I also had a cup of the chicken corn chowder which was good. However, there was pieces of cubed chicken in it which also made me think that it was a prepackaged soup and not homemade. My dad got the coconut cream pie, which tasted good, but could have used more coconut then just on the top. He wanted bread pudding or peach cobbler, however at the time of day we were there, they had been picked over way too much, not leaving much for anyone else to enjoy. I did like the selections in the gift shop and purchased a tea towel before we left. I always like to try a place 3 times so I may stop in and try something else. Again, great customer service.

We came in about 5:45 on Tuesday before New Years, and the place was basically bare. I was concerned. Went immediately to use the restroom, which was nostalgically decorated and clean as a whistle. The waitress was at the table taking to my husband when I got done, and my tea was already there, waiting for me, when I arrived. Now...the food: I got the chicken fried steak and hubby got fried catfish. Both were so clean and fresh I thought they'd been air fried! By the time the food arrived, dinner time must've hit, because as I write this from my table, the place is absolutely packed full of patrons. I didn't take a photo of my dinner, because I was busy enjoying it. However, I was able to get a quick snapshot of the husband's fish before he downed the last few bites. Seriously, this was the best southern comfort meal we've had in quite some time. We'll DEFINITELY make this a stop when we are passing through Hillsboro in the future! Seriously. Try them. You can thank me later, and ya might even run into Bubba while you're here!

We stopped by on our way back from Shreveport expecting some standard diner food. Lucky for us, the food was way better than expected and much higher quality as well. My son and I ordered the Chicken Fried Steak, while my wife ordered the Chicken Fried Chicken due to the recommendation of our waitress. Unfortunately, they brought out three orders of Chicken Fried Steak. We didn't say anything and accepted the food as it was. The Chicken Fried Steak was humongous and packed with flavor. It was a tad on the salty side and the meat was a little tough. But for a restaurant in the middle of nowhere, it was still better than expected. All of the sides tasted great, including the Mac n cheese, baked potato, coleslaw, fries, and onion rings. I would recommend stopping by here to support them and avoid the fast food chains.

The Pharm is in downtown Buffalo. A lot of locals eat here. If you are a hunter, you are going to love this place. On the front wall is one of the most impressive collections of deer trophies I have ever seen. Lots of restaurants with hunters for owners or workers put deer heads up on the wall. Few have as an impressive a collection of top score trophies as you will see at the Pharm. The antler widths are absolutely positively enormous. I didn't think they made deer with antlers that big. * * * What goes for the antlers goes for the food. Pharm takes pride in its steaks. This seemed like a good reason to order a rib eye sandwich. That rib eye was about as wide at the biggest trophy on the wall. It extended half a foot out of my bun on one side and half a foot out of my bun on the other side. The bun was merely a handle for picking the sandwich up. The rib eye was thin but absolutely tender. It was not the $150 steak you would get at an oil magnate's private dining club. But for an everyday steak sandwich, it was just great. I was happy to have it. I was also happy to have the onion rings that went with it. * * * I would say the crowd was 100% local. I was the only highway passer-through. There were a lot of people taking a break from work for lunch. Many of these guys had the name of their company embroidered on their baseball cap. There were retirees in camouflage having lunch with friends. There was one young Christian couple having a long friendly conversation with a lady who was probably the manager. The manager was holding a hammer and waving her hammer over the place. My guess is that they were talking about some kind of repair or remodel job going on in the restaurant. But then who knows? Altogether, it seemed like a comfortable neighborhood hangout. * * * I suppose you "could" do well by eating at the Subway right at the highway junction. I recommend you do better by going into Buffalo itself.
