First time visiting, my friend wanted to meet up after work and suggested stopping here. When I first walked in I wasn't sure if we'd stay, it feel inviting, but we stayed and enjoyed our cocktails and snacks, I wouldn't order food again,the chicken sandwich was dry and my friend sent her steak sandwich back, she said it tasted like it sat under the warmer overnight. We started going to the PK a few years ago and are always treated well, it's clean and we find the food good. Now I know there are times we have to wait a few minutes BUT the people that work there are busy and very great people, that's all I can say. We enjoy this place.. Personally I would give them a 4/5. I Went down to Pony Keg after I saw on Facebk of their Ugly Sweater Contest and Karaoke. Two Gal said they liked my Wool Coat. It has a faux fur collar. They were Super Friendly. When I walked in and spotted the Gal who was dressed up, I said that I came down for the Ugly Sweater, I thought it would be a Meetup but it was not. People came with groups of friends already. They have Karaoke but ends early at Midnight for Fri and Sat. But the Bar is Open til 2am. There was a Variety of Singers from Pop, Country, Foot Loose Song. There was a break when we were doing a Group R& B Line Dance. I think people Here are Regulars. They Don't turn up the Speakers too loud, so you don't have to yell to talk to people. The quieter Spot Would be by the Pool Table section. I don't drink Beer. So I got a juice. The Bartender dressed in a Xmas outfit who I asked about the Event when I walked in did not charge me anything. So I tipped her $1. She was talking to customers at the tables when I walked up to the Bar. The VJ was bussing tables when People sang. So I'm assuming She is also the waitress, during when there is no Karaoke. read more

I have to admit, I walked in to Pony Keg Grill & Bar and almost turned back around and walked out. It had a weird "locals" vibe that did not seem overly welcoming, but I decided I would find a quiet spot and keep to myself. After a few beers, I ordered a salad and a pizza. Wow, the pizza was really good! The bartender was nice too, gotta give her kudos. In all, the food, drink and service outweighed the "strangeness" of the scene. Stopped by for a quick bite to eat while working. Location is right of the 167 freeway which made it easy to get in and out. Ordered the Porker which was a slow roasted pulled pork sandwich. By far, Kent's best kept secret. The food was amazing. I had hoped to sample a little bit more of the menu, but the Brew House Pretzel with sliced Bratwurst stopped me in my tracks. It's more than a meal for one, and as an appetizer, I would strongly suggest at least 4, or it will seriously impact your ability to finish whatever you wanted to order. For being in the industrial area of Kent, I was quite surprised by the amount of people at 8pm on a Thursday evening. However, my excitement slowly turned to disappointment when the first thing I noticed was the lingering smell of old cigarettes. I'm assuming they've never remodeled the place since the ban of indoor smoking was made effective years ago, or perhaps they just allow the occasional customer/employee to smoke inside when no one is looking. Good selection of beer on tap with the notable exception of a blocked out popular brand (maybe the tap was broken) and another missing beer found on their website (the reason I decided to try out this bar tonight). Ordered the prime rib dip.....I know my clothes and hair smell like I smoked 10 cigarettes by now. The meat tasted like it sat in the fridge for a week before it was warmed up to be served to me. We come here weekly to visit a good friend Ellen. Here tonight 1-12-2020 to watch football. The owner is throwing ice at people, not a good idea. People could slip, fall and get hurt. Half of the seemingly-regular patrons seemed to enjoy themselves while the other half looked like this was their last stop before rehab. Avoided the depressing limits of one star because of the excellent tap list. I don't know if I was just spoiled and lucky with loads of great service in Portland but coming to The Pony Keg for a quick bite before a movie made me want to drive straight back to Ptown. The service was begrudging. The lone bartender had her daughter there and she was running amok the whole time, banging on tables and screaming. For the first time ever I wanted the eighties to come back and for that child to be mine so that I could pull her aside and spank her. That girl needs discipline. That said, so did our waitress. She did the meandering talk-up to the regs right after we asked her for water and a menu. The cheeseburger I had was comparable to a Jack in the Box Jumbo Jack with less veggies. My bf had the steak with veggies and something....the veggies were way over cooked and the steak was grimy. We were told that this place had a great steak but that dear friend will not be a future advocate for us in regards to good eats. Oh and the waitress randomly brought me a cran. vodka, that I did not order. She set it down really fast at our table and five minutes later, I finally got her to come over. I explained that I never ordered the drink and she gave me this look and then said I could keep it. I had to literally use my hands to speak and was like, I'm not trying to get a free drink, I'm not even drinking, please take this back I do not want it. The food is really good. Amazing for a bar and grill. We had a combo pizza made from scratch. No grease whatsoever and nice crispy crust. Also had a burger and fries. The fries were fresh potatoes and again no grease. Nice and crispy. Burger was delicious and no grease dripping from burger. Will be coming back for sure and bring friends. Had a coworker bring in a pizza one day so when I was close them I called and verified they had pizza. The lady working was really nice and texted me a picture of the menu so I could order. ZERO STARS. ONE OF THE MOST HORRIBLE BARTENDERS I'VE EVER CAME ACROSS EVERRR. Mind you was in the business and still am for customer service. Came here to meet an old friend and was treated like S..... She didn't like me because I'm not a regular. You can completely tell. She talked a bunch of BS to her good friend that was there drinking which not only now does the bartender not like me but now we have a "customer" with a problem against myself and my friend. Also pretty un classy to be smoking your "VAPE" BEHIND THE BAR WHILE WORKING... not sure completely on the laws but don't think this is tooooo legal or appropriate. This is the first and remind you the first HORRIBLE REVIEW ON HERE I'VE YET TO DO! Mind you called the manager the next day and completely acted as if she wasn't the manager until I told her I have a complaint then she decided to tell the truth and replied with sorry I thought you where a solicitor. The food was mediocre at best. My chucwagon dip was soggy and the meat needed seasoning as it was bland and has some grisle. My buddy got the coconut prawns and said they were tough and obviously pre frozen and not fresh. Beers we're cold but stay away from the weak overpriced mixed drinks. Oh yeah, stay away from the bathroom as the toilet was not flushed and almost made me lose everything i just ate. Then, the best part, I watched the owner or manager or something completely lose his mind and assault someone in the adjacent parking lot. Almost ran him down with his truck then hopped out and punched him to the ground before coming back to his restaurant and no one seemed perterbed by this behavior?! I won't be coming back. read more

GET A NEW BARTENDER, she obviously can't handle the workload, the place was packed with at least FOUR people, she was rude from the get go, we sat ourselves at a table, we were greeted in a friendly manor until she looked at my girlfriends ID, recognized it was obviously vertical and proceeded to make comments about it which really wasn't a bother, asked what kind of drinks we wanted. My girlfriend got a very watered down vodka sprite, I had a beer which I never received, never had a chance to ask because she never came back to the table to even recognize that I was still drinkless! We waited about 30 minutes for our food, which was good, thanks to the chef. Still no drink, no water, just a salty attitude from the server/bartender, we wait for our bill which we wait for, for about 10 minutes. Never came, so we walked up to the bar, she realizes she didn't bring me my drink, very condescending and sarcastic about me being upset about not getting checked on for our whole time there. But my favorite part would have to be her comment while leaving the restaurant. "aww did I hurt his feelings?" VERY unprofessional and I really hope you find suitable staff. read more

The food was fine but it was a Friday night, the bar and restaurant area was full and they only had a bartender. No servers. She worked her butt off but that is not right. The customers suffer and I am sure the bartender/server was stressed. They need to learn how to manage that place and schedule servers accordingly read more

I went here a few times before the new owners. Service wasn't spectAcular but ok. Food was really good. I've gone back a Few times since new owners bought it. The service absolutely sucks. Maybe seven customers T three tables for. Night the Seahawks are plRude and impatient staff that acts like they hate their lives. $13.00 for a sandwich which is no good. Bought the nachos tonight. Like warm T beat because the bartender left food waiting in the window while she grabbed a drink menu off of a table to make drinks that she didn't know the recipe for. Beans looked a few days old. Chicken WAS - A few days old with some spice thrown on it. Just plain nasty. Would never recommend a bar that can't get nachos or sandwiches right. Rest In Peace pony keg. Very sad and pathetic. Lol. Friendly neighborhood bar! While it's typical bar food, it's good food, the soup tasted like it was made from scratch and the specials were freshly prepared, not frozen from a box, which is nice for a bar. The staff is friendly and efficient, the crowd is friendly, the seating at the bar is super comfy bar stools and lots of booths and other seating throughout. This is a large space, great for happy hours with friends. Overall, a clean, tasty, and friendly stop. read more

This is a great place to stop by after work, or for a Saturday morning mimosa. New owners have done a great job creating a diverse, tasty menu. Their food is great, owners are visible, easy to talk to and great with the locals and newcomers-very welcoming. If you haven't been here for awhile it is worth the stop to visit with the owners and try a tasty meal. I am giving a 4 star as it is above average for a bar of this type. The food is not bad, but keep in mind this place makes it money off beer sales, the service is ok if the bar is not busy, if the bar is busy then don't expect your food to arrive in a timely manner. Our server was good, she was truely working hard but my friends burger was a little burned and i noticed she didn't ask if we need re-fills on our drinks, (we were not drinking beer) but the two guys at the bar were getting faster service and they were drinking. read more
