We hired Pony Ranch Parties to set up a small petting zoo at our home today for a toddler's birthday party, and the animals were a huge hit amongst all party guests ages 2-75! Rachel, the owner, was very flexible and creative with how to set up our event given our outdoor space constraints. Several months ago I saw this adorable bus driving on the freeway and knew we HAD to have this for our daughter's second birthday. Pony Ranch Parties did not disappoint! The kids had the BEST time playing with and learning about all of the adorable animals. Goats, a lamb, a baby pig, and tons of bunnies kept the kiddos entertained for an hour. That was the perfect amount of time for the party guests to cycle through the bus to cuddle some animals (and enjoy the a/c in the bus on the 100* day). We had a fantastic time at my daughter's 4th Birthday with Pony Ranch Parties. Rachel, the owner I think, was a pleasure to work with and she was able to answer all my (many) questions. We decided to have 2 ponies and a small petting farm. Rachel and her two assistants were fabulous about setting up their area and answering the kids questions. Having them hand walk the children on the ponies was a highlight of the afternoon. The kids not riding were able to play with a llama, goats, a bunny and some beautiful chickens (okay, they're probably not chickens but they were some sort of pretty fowl). The animals were very friendly and didn't scare even the most apprehensive of the kids. After wards (and during) they kept the whole area clean and when they left our house you couldn't even tell we had a farm there! This company is really wonderful. Rachel was so great to work with, especially considering all of the last minute weather issues she had to work around. We had a small petting zoo for my daughter's birthday party, which took place in our backyard. I love that she treats her animals like family. You can tell she takes great care of them and knows them all really well. She even had little baby blankets ready to wrap the little ones in. One thing everyone noticed is how engaged Rachel and her assistant were. They did not just stand back and watch - they were very interactive with the children and animals, and quickly cleaned up any messes. I had read the reviews saying that events with Rachel are no stress, but knowing that we would be her first event coming out of COVID, I was prepared to give her a little more grace. She completely lived up to her reputation!! She and her staff brought four stations (pony ride, bunny bus, petting zoo, and llamas/wool) to the K/1 students at our elementary school. Students visited in groups of 10, with ten minutes at each center. Each station was perfectly timed to keep the kids engaged and to cycle through 120 students in 2 hours. At the wool station, Rachel revisited many of the facts we'd learned in class! Students were even gifted with an activity book and pencil from the dairy council at the end of the event. I searched for quite some time for a company who would provide the best personalized service for an Easter/baby animal themed birthday at the end of March. Speaking to the owner, Rachel, we came up with something different than just the standard petting zoo. She agreed to provide a petting zoo of baby animals such as goats, bunnies, chicks, etc. in addition to the other animals. This was the hit of the party! My five year old was able to bottle feed the baby goats and lamb which she stills talks about. When the newborn chicks were brought out, the children loved it! We have been to our fair share of "animal" birthday parties and I have to admit Pony Ranch is the best company we have encountered. They were beyond amazing! Today was my daughters third birthday we ordered one pony and a mini farm and it was such a great experience. Rachel and her assistant were amazing got to our home early and were so easy to talk to they made sure the people and animals were safe but were so easy going they started off by doing the pony rides and brought out two small goats on leashes for the kids all the animals were very friendly and well behaved they then exchanged the goats for a baby piggy but the pony rides continued we even got to hold some sweet hens! We didn't expect the piggy and hens to even be at the party so that was just sweet of them to do for us. I was in contact with the owner, and she was very nice. When I advised that I lived in Rocklin she said "oh that's far"...except it says the areas you service are as far out as Rocklin and Roseville, so it shouldn't be a surprise if someone calls to have a party from that area. She didn't have her calendar so she was going to get back to me about availability. When she texted me she advised that there were conflicts in schedule and Rocklin would be too far to do a party and still make her other arrangements. Even 3 months out, there were conflicts but it seems like the distance was more the issue.
