Meaning, they are pretty indifferent when greeting or answering questions about the facility. They don't really say hello until we do. I can tell they are just there to have a job, so it doesn't detour me, but geez. I can't imagine being the face of the facility, and having such a poor attitude. They are not mean or disrespectful, but it's like they just tolerate the paying guests that come in. Kind of like that new emotion on the Inside Out 2 movie. There is one guy that is friendly-I think he has reddish hair and glasses. There is another guy upstairs and the first time we went, he just stared my son down in the youth area for like the first 20 minutes we were there. My son is within the age range, but I guess the staff member wanted to make sure he didn't do anything wrong. I interacted with him a bit, and it seemed to break down a little bit of his mean-mugging vibe. He might try saying hello to people, because most people won't want to break any rules if it means disappointing a friendly guy that is in charge. The facility is cool. I suggest they get built in locks on the available lockers like they have at Carpenter Rec. I also recommend that management have a team building exercise or rotate the front people with other staff to give them a break. If you can get past the blah energy upon arriving, it's a really great facility.

Hopefully, some of the many issues in Windsong Ranch will get solved.

I have been at the pool the last 3 weekends (4 Xs total) this Summer and it is truly 5 stars! The check in is super easy. I paid $5 each time (a discount for C.Hill) residents as well as your guest. They do take cash or card which is convenient. The line is never long, really non existent most of the time. Parking is a breeze especially if you get there for open swim which begins at 12 noon. The majority of the lounge chairs are shaded and you don't have to worry about anyone taking/moving your belongings as you enjoy the water. The lazy river is extremely clean and well kept and the floaties are in abundance and FREE! Everyone is respectful in the pool! At any given time there can be newborn babies to the seniors and every age in between so being courteous is just as important as having fun! The music is great too! They play EVERYTHING including Spanish songs on Cedar Hill Tunes. There is one lazy river, one slide which is so much fun and never a long line, as well as a larger pool that is wheelchair assessable too. It was in this pool that my BF taught me to swim this Summer so the Cedar Hill Lagoon will forever be memorable to me! They also have about 7 cabanas that you can rent out for your private event. The bathrooms have great air flow and are pretty well kept with no trash on the ground an I definitely appreciated the cleanliness. They also have showers too. The lifeguards are also professional and they appear to have fun too. There is food available if you get hungry. A CH police officer does make his/her round at the pool too so it definitely makes you feel safe an at ease. I hope the Lagoon continues to be a fun, clean, memorable place for my future summers!

Fitness classes need improved. Most of the instructors are great but you have to pay extra. They…read moredon't have a limit on the number in classes and it can be poorly managed by the front desk. Sometimes the weight classes are so full that it is unsafe. Often times people enter the yoga classes late (even up to 20 minutes) after the class has started (and they are not quiet or considerate when they settle themselves in). Several of us have written comments, given suggestions and brought this to the management's attention for over a year but they don't seem to care.

The workout floor is amply stocked with machines and free weights, there are even sanitization wipe stations scattered throughout the floor to wipe down equipment after use. There are small combination lockers to store your keys, wallet, etc. while you workout, too. If you like this sort of thing, there are a variety of channels on simultaneously across several wall-mounted TVs and the tuned channels are labeled under the TV itself. You can use headphones (wired or wireless I believe) to tune to your preferred channel. I prefer to listen to music on my phone during a workout instead. The rest of the facilities are great, too! Small rooms for classes, childcare facility (hours vary, check the website), pool, chill zone (hangout place with air hockey, fooseball or table tennis, and video games), and when it's warm out, a mini water park outside! The locker rooms are large and have swimsuit spinners to de-wet them quickly. I love having an affordable membership here (for the whole family!) and love bringing my daughter to practice volleyball and basketball in the gym during open gym time.

There's an area for diving off the diving board, an area for a smaller children, lazy river for all ages and a water slide. That looks really interesting. I didn't go on that one but yeah, it's really nice. Lots of grassy area so if you wanna picnic out there, while enjoying the water. There's lounging chairs that go pretty quickly as well as the tubes for the lazy river. The lifeguards are very nice very well trained, constantly looking, constantly watching everyone to make sure no one is in distress. And yes, there are a lot of lifeguards which is really great considering how many people are there. There are rules to to the aquatic center too many for me to mention here, but if you want to check it out, go to their website. When I checked on the website, for the past couple days, it said it was closed, but the best thing to do is call to make sure it is open. Even the day I went the website online said it was closed. Before you reach the aquatic center you wind your way through the park that is very beautiful and very clean.

At least one of the family changing rooms has no warm/hot water available. Also they hosted a birthday party I think in a room. After some time all the kids bursted out and just ruined the pool experience for most everyone. The lifeguard on duty did her best to whistle and remind the kids not to be climbing up the slides or running and cannonballing into the pool near other small toddlers but the failing comes from the kids and their supposed parents.. just yapping away on the side amongst themselves not watching over their entitled kids.
