Bad experience. I texted the number on the website. A person answered. I scheduled a service for pool cleaning, and they agreed to come. I sent them a picture of the pool, and when they saw the water with a greenish color, they quoted me almost $1000, recommending a complete drain and chemicals for the water. Leslie's pool charges $120 for the pool drain alone. I also called other companies that quoted me between $150 to $200 for pool drain plus around $50 - $100 for chemicals. These guys said they wouldn't serve us unless we agreed to drain the pool completely. I checked with the people at Leslie's pool, who measure our water, and they told me our water is fine; no need to drain yet. I explained this, but they refused to serve us, canceled our app the day before they had to come, and left us hanging. I guess they don't need new customers and definitely lost one with us. That is no way to treat prospective clients. We found a different company now, very happy with the service. Please don't fall for the other 'good' reviews; this company is unreliable, plus they overcharge you. read more

We have been using Pool Scrubs for over 5 years at two locations. When we first reached out, we were having trouble with algae blooms and could not keep the water clear after inheriting a poorly maintained pool system. Jeff came out for our first assessment and estimate, and poured some enzymes in the pool and you could see them take effect right away. In just a few hot July days, we had crystal clear water-really it had never been so clean and clear. We started with weekly service because I didn't want to risk another bloom. Pool Scrubs eventually convinced me it was okay to go bi-weekly service, saving us a bit of money each month. We've since used Pool Scrubs for an escrow inspection on the filter, heater, and overall health evaluation of pool for a home we were trying to purchase. I'm so glad we went to them first, as Jeff calmed our concerns and helped us budget for expected repairs to have the system up and running shortly after we moved in. We have two small children and two pups, and Pool Scrubs have always ensured a safe environment. Gates are closed and kept secure. The pool is ALWAYS clear and ready for swimming. Equipment service calls are handled timely and efficiently, and the area is always left tidy and clean. Jeff even went so far as to breakdown boxes, move them to recycling, and registered our new vacuum for a rebate card. Most of our regular service has been done by Justin, with Jeff doing equipment maintenance, and we've recently been assigned to their new cleaner, Chris. My salt cell kept getting a buildup on it and thought it may be time to change the water. Due to some staining I thought I should look into an acid wash while it was empty. I called several places and the price quoted was in the ballpark of the other quotes I received although Pool Scrubs appeared to be in business longer and Christine and Jeff were responsive when I called. Jeff completed the acid wash on time as promised - in time for the kids to use it for the holiday weekend. I have been using a Barracuda vacuum for about 15 years and it has done pretty well but Jeff suggested a different vacuum and it appears to be doing a better job so far. Prices: Competitive, Service: A+++, Timeliness: Again A+++ including Jeff working late to complete the acid wash and refill on time for the holiday weekend. I've been using Pool Scrubs for about 8 years now and can honestly say that the owner's knowledge of servicing pools is the best. I have lived in my home with a pool for 27 years now and over those years I have had my share of pool services. When Jeff, the owner, came to our house for a consultation and quote, he left quite the impression on me. He was knowledgeable and professional, as was his wife, Christine, with whom I spoke on the phone. He actually cleaned and serviced my pool that very same day. The condition he left it in made me feel pretty glad that I hired Pool Scrubs for regular pool service. This satisfaction did not last long, however. Jeff's son, Justin, also works at Pool Scrubs and has his own designated route, which apparently includes my house (I believe Jeff does all initial consultations). Justin subsequently took over the bi-weekly pool cleaning...to my disappointment. The quality of his work was not as good as I had hoped. After the third cleaning session, I had to call their office to express my dissatisfaction with the cleanliness of the pool every time Justin came by to service it. Jeff was quick to reply and made good on the "100% satisfaction guarantee" - he personally cleaned the pool himself the next day left it sparkling shape (tile walls were scrubbed and free of dirt, strainer baskets/nets emptied, floor and surface debris removed, etc.). I'm a satisfied customer once again! And then Justin resumed his normal route again. And again I was left displeased with the results. This time, he had to return the next day to finish installing a filter manifold. Luckily I had the day off and wanted to discuss the issue with him directly, without having to call the office again. I pointed out a couple of areas where I thought he could pay more attention to detail: a surface debris strainer net and the tile walls. I rubbed my finger across the tile wall and showed him how much dirt was coming off of it. He said he gave it a good scrub and that's as good as it's going to get. He even claimed that it must have accumulated all that dirt since he last cleaned (less than 24 hrs). I then asked him if he empties the strainer net because there was quite a bit of leaves and debris still trapped. Again, he claims that the net must have accumulated all those leaves and debris since he last cleaned it. I called him out on it because the strainer only works with the pump is on, and it's been off since he last cleaned it because of the removed filter manifold that he was replacing. Talk about getting defensive!! He rudely said that's as good as it's going to get...proceeds to remove the net, shake it a couple of times to demonstrate that nothing is coming out and then tosses the net on the ground and said that he had no choice at that time but to part ways with my business. I was shocked at the attitude and lack of professionalism. I even told him that, NO, it's not as good as it gets because your dad always cleans the pool to my expectations. Still, he refused to listen, stating that he's been cleaning pools since he was 16...he's 26 now...and that the way he's been cleaning pools is as good as it's going to get. Not true. Your dad set the bar; you failed to meet that standard. BTW, ever since Justin removed and replaced the filter manifold and recharged the filter with Diatomaceous Earth (DE), my pool has been cloudy with the DE powder flowing back into the pool. Now I have to hire another pool service company to fix his shoddy work. Hire only if Jeff will be the one servicing your pool. read more
