Listen.. pot pies are one of my trauma foods (Thanks dad) and I've avoided them for years. Today I stumbled across Pop Pie and after speaking to Nick - I thought you know what why not heal my childhood trauma on a casual Saturday afternoon. Order at the counter and enjoy your pie at one of the few seats or take to go. We had the steak and ale pie, aussie meat pie, sausage roll, and key lime pie. Steak and ale was somewhat bland, but the aussie meat was very flavorful. The Aussie meat pie tasted higher quality and fresher than the fast-food ones in Australia. Crusts were nicely buttery and flaky. The sausage roll was disappointing as their meat mixture was crumbly, dry, and overly seasoned with herbs. Key lime pie was fantastic but the crust was slightly too thick making it hard to slice through. Will definitely get the Aussie meat and key lime pie next time. Pop Pie is a cute little spot, but I wish they would clean their tables off. When we arrived, there wasn't a single diner, but each table had crumbs strewn all over. read more

Food was ok. When I was Australia years ago I had pie face and that was so good. I was hoping that this would come close to it but it wasn't. First bite and I can see the difference. It's quite dry and doesn't have the gravy and tender steak I had expected. Service: the front counter person was having a bad day or something but when I was standing there they kept walking in and out without saying anything to me. After awhile they finally came out with this wtf can I get you like my presence was a bother. My boyfriend's dad's favorite food is pie, so for Father's Day this year we decided to treat him to 8 different types of pie! We are celebrating Father's Day out of town, which is why I was thrilled that Pop Pie carries frozen meat pies that you can take home and bake yourself! We ordered everything through their website's East online ordering system, and our order was ready for pick up within 15 mins! We ordered their 5 pack of assorted frozen savory pies (you can choose whatever combination of flavors you'd like), and a few different slices of their sweet pies to sample them. You can also order full sized sweet pies, I believe you just need to call ahead for availability. The frozen savory pies traveled super well in a freezer bag, are wrapped & labeled individually, and can be baked in a standard oven defrosted or from frozen. Instructions on how to bake are printed on each pie. Baking at home was easy peasy and the crusts came out beautifully golden brown and flaky! 1 single pie is plenty of food for 1 person, or shared between 2 people if you also have additional sides. We roasted our own veggies at home. All the savory pies were delicious but this is my personal ranking of all the pies we tried: 1. Chicken Pot Pie (we got 2 of these) 2. Green Hog & Cheese 3. Aussie Meat Pie 4. Steak & Ale Their sweet pies are a must try, and I can't wait to try new rotating flavors! We tried the strawberry rhubarb, caramel apple, coconut cream and key lime. Came here yesterday because I was craving something sweet and Pop Pie seriously hit the spot! My friend had recommended it and mentioned that they serve Stella Jean's ice cream so I had a feeling I wasn't gonna be disappointed. Conveniently located between Stella Jean's and Sidecar, Pop Pie is soooo cute! They have a great variety of sweet and savory pies, as well as random other desserts and drinks. it was AMAZING. i got the classic chicken pot pie and a side of creamed corn. they do NOT skimp on the chicken. it was soo creamy and smooth on the inside. the crust was flakey and buttery and not too thin which i like. it had a nice crisp to it and the pie was still very hot when i got it, smoking hot. creamed corn was alright. i wish it was a bit of a thicker consistency though what really got my attention was the customer service. idk if shes the owner but she literally knew her customers' names when they walked in. this is a small place and i got it togo but ate on one of the stools and she still checked up on us. so nice and attentive. whoever she is, she takes pride in her job and the quality of the food was phenomenal too. it is difficult to find businesses these days who truly value and love their line of work. i know alot of reviews say that the key lime pie is good. i think i just dont like the flavor bc i couldnt even finish it tbh. i think it was a texture thing for me. the salted apple was sooo good though. I had a bit of a sweet tooth so I chose a Salted caramel apple pie slice. I was very tempted to get the strawberry rhubarb crumble... But I went for the popular. They had one of the best crusts I have ever tasted. Buttery, flaky and crunchy. I honestly ate it a day later and it was still in great shape. The apples were nice and firm. The pot pies might look small, but the food is filling and delicious! The pot pies are packed with food and not just sauce, as you'll find in a lot of pot pies these days. The pie crust is absolutely heavenly! There are items for vegetarians and even your pickiest of eaters can find something they like. I had the breakfast pot pie, while my family had the Classic Veggie Pot Pie and the Classic Chicken Pot Pie. We were all satisfied with the meals we recieved and two of us had leftovers. The Classic Chicken Pot Pie does have quite a bit of pearl onions, so if that's not your thing, you might want to try something else. I haven't even mentioned the best part-- dessert! Unfortunately, no pictures of that, as we scarfed it down. My dad said the Key Lime Pie slice was one of the best he's ever had. I had a seasonal flavor called Pear, Huckleberry, and Chai Spice crumble. I found the chai flavoring to overpower the fruit a bit, but it was still good! Before we arrived I assumed the pies were much bigger. They ended up about the size of a large hamburger. That was more than enough to fill me up though. The service was really good even though it was almost closing time. This place is nestled between a doughnut shop and a ice cream place so it's perfect for a full course meal I wanted to try a coffee but it was too late in the evening for caffeine for me. As far as the sweet pies, I've always loved them and their coconut cream pie was just perfect. It wasn't too sweet and was very light and flavorful. The peanut butter and jelly pie was a Pi Day special, but it was just okay to me because I felt the peanut butter was too sweet and overwhelming. My two star review is due to the service I received. I visited the store at 11am on a Tuesday. There were no other customers in sight. There was a gentleman behind the counter. I said hi upon entering. He didn't reply and turned his back and started doing something he wasn't when I entered. I was hesitant to leave as I felt unwelcome. Still, I asked for a slice of key lime pie. After quite a few moments he acknowledged my order and completed the transaction. He asked if I needed a fork and told me where napkins are yet the humanity of customer service was missing. I've been wanting to try this pie place and what a better day than on Pie Day. I came in the middle of the afternoon and they were sold out of my first choice pies! That already explains how good this place is. For covid precautions, they only allow one party inside at a time. No cash payments and they have the plexiglass in the cashier counter. I ordered the Guava Cream Cheese hand pie, a slice of the Blueberry Apple Yuzu Crumble, and a slice of our favorite Ham, Bacon, Chive & Cheese. The family usually splits the slices 3 and a tip ways. The hand pie was only able to be shared by 2. I liked the oat crumble on the Blueberry, Apple, Yuzu slice. There were plenty of blueberries which must be in season because the meal delivery services have a lot of blueberry recipes. The Ham, Bacon, Chive & Cheese was great with Lemon Beans and Mushrooms and chicken sausage for a complete brunch/lunch. Service was friendly. The quiche is amazing & the chicken pot pie is good but could be way better. My complaint is that for how small it is, there are these massive chunks of boiled chicken. There isn't enough of the gravy, carrots, onions, peas but instead there are about 8-10 huge hunks of chicken that are hard to eat. Wow. We returned for the savory pies- the Aussie meat pie is easily the BEST anywhere (and I lived in Australia). Definitely goes great with ketchup and mashed potatoes (actually it's not the same without the two.) The steak and ale pie is also excellent, for a little more variety in texture with the beans and veggies and large chunks of meat. Either way the pie crust is absolutely heavenly. By far the most delicious pot pie I've ever eaten! I don't even feel I can adequately put into words the deliciousness of these pies! We ordered lunch for our office and everybody was raving about how delicious ALL of the different pies were. The crust was the perfect balance of buttery, flaky goodness and the filling was so flavorful and abundant! If I would've known how delicious they were going to be I would have ordered some frozen pies for another day... will definitely be going back to get those! Their desserts were equally amazing, we ordered the very berry crumble, salted caramel apple pie and the guava and cream cheese... I am solely reviewing the food. My friend brought me some to eat at work and it was very good. She got me a chicken pot pie, we shared mashed potatoes, and the sweet corn. I think I loved the side dishes more than the pot pie!! The mashed potatoes had tons of butter and garlic, corn was more of a creamed corn I think but it was looser than traditional creamed corn, SO SWEET AND BUTTERY. I love corn and they did this side dish perfectly lol The pot pie.... I thought the crust was probably the best part and is what made the dish, it was buttery, flaky and light. The portion is huge!! I could only eat a little more than 1/3 of it and had the rest the next day. It was still pretty good and flaky even microwaved the next day. I thought the chicken pieces inside were a bit dry, the chicken breast pieces could use more flavor. I personally don't really like white meat so this is just my opinion but if you like white meat... you'll like this. I also think it needed more gravy because everything was a bit dry. However, flavors were all perfect! She also got a slice of the strawberry rhubarb pie to share. I had a few bites and thought it was really good!! And not too sweet which is my preference. I've never had this type of pie before but the rhubarb in a dessert was definitely interesting. The rhubarb pieces were there and but You couldn't really taste the "vegetable-ness" of it at all. The pie as a whole was light sweet, tangy and a bit sour, along with the delicious crust ... it was a delicious piece of pie!! Parking here is sometimes chaos but not from lack of spots, it's just a weird lot. Service at Pop Pie is ALWAYS phenom - everyone is so nice and helpful!
